The wrist band may have more to do with how the OC calls the plays (e.g.  no. 23 audible to no. 34 if 2 high safeties) than Josh's knowledge of the playbook.

What does concern me is that Josh is not a a video junkie studying the other teams defenses. He says that's because he'll see something different when they play the team. But its rare that a team will completely abandon their base defense. They may add wrinkles or disguises but it's still their base D. Also, intensive film study allows quicker reaction time not just the next time but down the road for the team studied but also for faster recognition of similar D's by other teams.  Thoughts?

That's not exactly what he said.  He said that he prefers to understand really well what their base principles are.  I don't see how he could do that without watching film.  Agreed, he doesn't appear to grind over hours of film like Peyton and Tom did.

Meanwhile complete melt down at chiefsplanet.com. If this was the other futbol Toney wouldn’t survive the night.

Omg, the Dan Campbell thread.  If all the posters in that thread were set on fire today the world would be better off.  Wow, what douchebags.

Really a great post and what I was also trying to express. And the "reverse your field" rush to judgement IS revealing.

Thank you for that clarification. I was not aware of that. But even for those who "know" all the facts of the case, it's still a leap to make a moral judgement.

    Thank you and Amen.

Exactly. For instance what was her parents' role in all of this? Isn't it likely that THEY and not SHE, hired the scumbag lawyer. Isn't it more likely than merely possible that they pushed for charges to be pressed?

I'm glad you're so certain of your understanding of this situation.

As for your first sentence, I originally asked whether the Bills could suspend him in order to not deny him due process.

As for others I find that those who rush to judgement initially are often the same ones who overcorrect in the other direction. It's the same pendulum swinging the opposite way so I don't agree with your characterization.

She ruined another person's life? Isn't this a bit premature?

Also how is she going to live this down for the rest of her life? Is not her life just as ruined?

There seems to be this binary blame mentality that I disagree with. IMO there's both plenty of blame to go around as well as more than one victim in this sad tale.

Your response is inferior to @Udubalum07's.

Not everyone knows all the details so you don't have to flavor your post with snarky know-it-allness.

    the transcript has been released?

anyway, it's called discovery.  once he testifies in deposition, he can't change his story in court if more info comes out in discovery that contradicts him.

The biggest issue is how this makes women who have been actually sexually assaulted less likely to report it and be believed when they do report.

You have zero idea what her motivations were, but clout?! Clout from who exactly...the lawyer now that's a different matter.

bull####.  She was believed from jump, until the evidence came out.  This stupid line that people spout every time a woman is caught lying, just bull####.

I feel bad for the people who at some point were actually raped or sexually assaulted. Rediculous situations like this make it that much harder for real victims to come forward. Thats the real crime here.

Sure, but the real crime here appears to be a false accusation was filed with the police.

Here is the point I'd like to understand before I morally exonerate Araiza and the others who had sex with the girl... she was 17 at the time of the incident and there's video of the sex acts.

The age of consent in CA is 18. Why isn't this statutory rape?

BTW nice to see all the message board vigilantes out here with their clubs and ropes. So much anger at a "false accuser" as if the men involved are blameless.

Are we talking about the 17 year old who was telling everyone at a college party that she was 18?

Minnesota is renowned for its high quality pavement and fabulous weather conditions too.

Re: the brakes, that thing has the biggest brakes ever put on a production car.  60mph to 0 in 110.5 feet.  I'm gonna guess it takes a bit longer from 155mph...115-120 feet tops. 😝

Well, it is summer in Minnesota.  The last 2 times I was in Minneapolis in July it was in the 90s.

Oh no, a young rich guy doing young rich guy things.  I agree it is stupid, but young guys with big money are going to do stupid things.  He'll, I'm not rich and I still ride motorcycles at that speed even at 40.

I had to edit this, because is 1st degree murder now controversial, and universally not frowned upon now?

I can think of far worse, but thats just how my brain works I guess.

Ok but suffering an injury that caused the second half season offense to look totally different doesn't do the team any favors.

My point was, if he missed one game after the week 9 injury, which would have been reasonable, he wouldn't have this streak and in that case where does his #1 ranking fall on the "most durable list" having just a 9 game streak currently???

Dumbest post I've read in a while.  Congratulations
