  1. Looked like a totally different player? QBs are continuing to avoid him. He'll bear the brunt of the Hopkins catch because he's our leader but he hasn't been the broken player that some want him to be.

Second post in this thread is jokes - "You know, I've been documenting his failures and have been meaning to address this..." *slides glasses up nose

I was starting to feel really good about this teamagain after last week but this loss yesterday was a very Billsy type of debacle that will be talked about for years to come unless this team somehow wins a SB this year which is very unlikely.

Therefore any optimism i had has become morose and I feel somewhat empty knowing this team is on borrowed time in terms of their current division lead and even making the playoffs this year as a wildcard may be asking too much given this teams glaring deficiencies on both sides of the ball.

Oh really? Totally believable post. I would have thought you were far more "morose" last week when this team beat the Seahawks, considering that you didn't really post anything after the game. Pretty typical behavior - if the Bills do well, High IQ's quite silent. If the Bills lose, even by a fluke hail mary (lol at "Billsy debacle"), this board becomes a swamp of High IQ claims of Dolphins superiority.

You know, you can just converse as a Dolphins fan instead of being a weirdo. Nobody really cares.

Back to the thread though, heck yeah I feel optimistic. It was non-conference on the road and Josh led a last minute beautiful strike to Diggs. Had it not been for an absolute dream throw to the best receiver in the game, and/or Bill O'Brien being a complete moron, this team would be 8-2. And we're still 7-3 with a division lead. It's a grind Bills fans, don't get greedy. We're in a wonderful spot.

Its fairly even down the stretch but I would much rather play the Bengals and Jaguars than Picksburgh and Tennessee.

Yeah overall Miami's schedule for the year has been easier, but the claim that's been gaining steam the last couple weeks is that they have an easier path to the playoffs now. Granted it's largely being fueled by one totally non-troll poster, but I've seen more people agree with it and I just don't see it. We've got the Steelers, they've got the Chiefs. We both get the Broncos. 49ers are a wild card for us I guess but so is the Raiders for them. The remaining games are pretty even in my opinion.

Plus if we can all agree that we've had the harder schedule thus far, and are still on top, then this Fins talk is truly out of hand.

  4. We have a bye week and will heal up thankfully. Yes we have Pittsburgh, but the Fins have the Chiefs? I feel like there's a legitimate underserved bias being given to the Dolphins right now, I don't know if it's just typical Buffalo gloomporn or if IQ's spamming has wormed its way into some brains here. I don't see this great schedule disparity and think a lot of you may be overrating the 49ers (our opponent) and underrating the Raiders (their opponent). Yes it will likely come down to the final weeks, but thankfully we have a +1 advantage and get to see them again.

  5. Jefferson was good last week. Klein has been stepping up as we all know. Addison seems to be contributing to an extent but yes, the lack of sacks is disappointing. Norman is disappointing. Overall I'd give it an incomplete, trending toward a C+/B-.

That kind of goes for the rest of the defense too. C-B range. I agree it's not an extremely talented unit right now. Would have loved to have seen Murphy replaced, he doesn't exist out there.

  6. So is the only thing that's really separating the Dolphins "soft" schedule and our "impossible" schedule the Steelers? They're very good and look tough to beat but the Fins still have the Chiefs. I'm not really seeing the great schedule disparity that others seem to be. Unless you're terrified of the 4-6 49ers, I guess? Fish still have the Chiefs, Raiders, Pats. We have the Steelers, 49ers, and Pats. Seems quite even down the stretch really.

  7. Tua puts up 169 yards in an 8 point victory against the Chargers: "Sheesh, gasp, he's incredible. I mean have you seen that guy play? The future of the NFL"

Josh puts up nearly 300 again in a last second fluke loss on the road against the Cardinals: "Oh man, it's bad Josh again. Hey did you guys see Tua? What an incredible talent".

Some embarrassing talk around here but I presume much of it is still troll-fueled.

  8. High IQ's nonsense has officially infected the board. I expected more out of most of you. Can we not wait until, I don't know, the Bills aren't still leading the division before just casually handing the division over to Miami? Shame.

To that point, we should try to anticipate and wager on the High IQ back pedaling when the Bills do in fact win the division. Something like:

"Yes, credit to the Bills, but it should have never come down to the wire like that. The Dolphins are clearly ahead of schedule and have a much brighter future".

    Like a wind-up toy.

Fair point but do we really trust Gabe Davis or Dawson Knox of all people more than our actual defenders ? Belichick loved putting Gronk on, and it actually bit him a few times.

Yeah it's a weird play so you may be right. I'm still racking my brain now to even remember if it was actually Moulds, but I swear I remember us putting wide receivers in the secondary on hail mary plays in the past. Hopkins is the best. If your guys are all short it's not a terrible idea.

  10. Far down the list of concerns I’m sure, but I’ve never been a fan of Bojo. Kid has a leg but is forever inconsistent, plus the early season kick mishaps. I don’t know, maybe he’s contributing more on that end now considering our recent kicking success, but I’ve been clenching my teeth every time he punts before today’s 12 yard joke. In perfect punting weather. Wouldn’t mind seeing a change with the bye week if anybody else is out there.

Little scene at the end of McDermott's locker room speech where Allen was pushed into the center of the group, McDermott was patting him on both shoulders and it seemed like everyone who could reach was patting him and telling him they loved him (I assume because of his grandmother's passing,) and he said "No place I'd rather be.  No place I'd rather be.  Love you guys!"

    That was awesome.

Took me a second to realize that it was Quinton Jefferson who got that other game ball. He's "Q" which I initially thought meant the QB, so what the heck is he calling Josh? Sounds like "Heath"? I keep hearing "Where's uh Q and Heath, c'mon Q and Heath". Is that not Allen who receives the game ball and rather some "Heath" character?

And once again you gotta love Diggs. Front and center, "we got you boy". Love to see it.
