  1. Thanks everyone for your feedback. I think the only thing we can do is try to introduce ourselves to the dog, but we will make sure that the leash laws that are in place here will be observed or we will be calling animal control or the police. My wife and I like dogs and when our kids are older we will probably get one from the pound. There are other stories of this new neighbor that I can recount, but its a late saturday night and the wine has taken its effect. Good night!
  2. One of my neighbors just got a puppy, the kids tell me its an American Bull Dog. To me and my wife it looks like a Pit Bull. Does anyone here know about this breed and should we be concerned since neither of our back yards are fenced and we have two small children. Also this neighbor lets his 5 year old daughter play unsupervised on our street (its a dead end street). The kids also are out at night, one evening during the summer, the 7 year old boy was riding his bike. It was pitch dark, as our street has absolutely no street lights on it. So our conern is if they have such a "hands off" approach to raising their kids, should we fear what this dog may grow up to become?
  3. Will you play anything from Ted Nugent?
  4. When the Bernie Goetz story broke, most people I knew then, black and white, said they had it coming. That incident happened at a time when the NYC subways were not as safe as they claim to be now. We were all fed up being the vulnerable prey and felt vindicated. For many of us NYC residents he truly was a hero.
  5. (1010 WINS) (ELMONT, N.Y.) Two men robbed a woman returning to her Long Island home and then stabbed her 3-year-old daughter twice, police said. The attack happened at about 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, when the men confronted the woman and child outside their house in Elmont. The robbers pushed their way inside, took the girl into another room and demanded money and an ATM card from the woman, Nassau County police said. After the woman handed over the card and some cash, one of the men punched her in the head and then both fled, police said. When police arrived, they discovered the girl had suffered two stab wounds to the abdomen. She was listed in stable condition at Winthrop University Hospital. There were no arrests. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: :I starred in Brokeback Mountain:
  6. Excellent job, really pumps you up for the weekend!
  7. Read that so fast that I thought you wrote "He'll be a Met FOR a few hours" meaning he was going to fail the physical. Wishful thinking.
  8. Here are some that are fun to look at. http://www.musthavetoys.com/advent/ Its worksafe when you open the link, but PG-13 when you click on one of the pixs.
  9. As a consultant now, I look forward in having my contract renewed.
  10. Reminds me of this one: Far away in the tropical waters of the Caribbean, two prawns were >swimming around in the sea - one called Justin and the other called Christian. > >The prawns were constantly being harassed and threatened by sharksthat >patrolled the area. > >Finally one day Justin said to Christian, "I'm bored and frustrated >at being a prawn, I wish I was a shark, then I wouldn't have any >worries about being eaten..." > >As Justin had his mind firmly on becoming a predator, a mysterious >Cod appears and says, "Your wish is granted", and lo and behold, Justin >turned into a shark. > >Horrified, Christian immediately swam away, afraid of being eaten by his >old mate. > >Time went on (as it invariably does...) and Justin found himself >becoming bored and lonely as a shark. All his old mates simply swam away >whenever he came close to them. Justin didn't realise that his new >menacing appearance was the cause of his sad plight. > >While out swimming alone one day he sees the mysterious cod again and >can't believe his luck. Justin figured that the fish could change him >back into a prawn. He begs the cod to change him back so, lo and >behold, he is turned back into a prawn. > >With tears of joy in his tiny little eyes, Justin swam back to his >Friends and bought them all a cocktail. (The punch line does not involve >a prawn cocktail - it's much worse). > >Looking around the gathering at the reef, he searched for his old >pal. "Where's Christian?" he asked. "He's at home, distraught that his >best friend changed sides to the enemy and became a shark", came the reply. > >Eager to put things right again and end the mutual pain and torture, he >set off to Christian's house. > >As he opened the coral gate the memories came flooding back. He >banged on the door and shouted, "It's me, Justin, your old friend, >come out and see me again!" > >Christian replied "No way man, you'll eat me. You're a shark, the enemy, >and I'll not be tricked." > >Justin cried back "No, I'm not. That was the old me. I've changed"... > > (wait for it) . .. . . . . . . . . . . . . . > >"I've found Cod, I'm a prawn again Christian"!!!!!!!!
  11. Or on Black friday you see the dolts lined up at 5:00am at the walmart.....omg get a life. I rather wait in line for the new Babylon 5 movie.
  12. I couldn't agree with you more, but now that I have kids, its something special again to see them open gifts and believe in Santa. Me and the wife have agreed not to exchange gifts and to just go out on the town one night. I've also made a deal with some of our friends that we don't exchange gifts for us or the kids but to get together and have a some good food and enjoy the company.
  13. Part of me would like the season to start later. Sometimes its just to hot to be playing or watching these games. I dread February when the pro bowl is over and there is nothing on. I don't like basketball or nascar.
  14. Ah ok, that's somewhat better. I know the CVS is opened but the supermarket is closed. I remember the diner was our meeting place after the holiday traditions were over with in the evening. Nothing like a twin burger deluxe and chocolate milk shake after a full day of eating....man to be 17 again.
  15. Stores are now open on Christmas? You got to be kidding right?
  16. Just wondering what you all think, while I'll enjoy watching football all weekend long, I wouldn't mind if they had the week off to celebrate with family.
  17. I said a little. Not totally. But I wouldn't kick her out of bed.....
  18. So we have to lose how many more superbowls before getting one?
  19. My girl Leticia Casta: http://www.geocities.com/topmodels2/Leticia1.htm Careful when opening....
  20. Kanye West Receives 10 Grammy Nominations Ok maybe I'm getting old, but who is this? Not that I hold any value in award presentations.
  21. Try the Veal and don't forget to tip your waitresses. But seriously, I had tivo'ed the game and watched it last night, it was no doubt a throat slash. Maybe he was signaling to Lt. Tawny Madison to mute the audio (Galaxy Quest reference)
  22. Looks like PW gave the ole throat slash sign after he scored the touch down, although I don't think it would have helped the fish, players need to be careful, it may hurt us in the future. Anyone else catch that?
