How many top 1-2-3 picks have they lost out on because the ping pong balls give a team with a better record a higher pick. Personally I don’t like this system because it seems more fair to give the worst team the first choice every year. Lady Luck plays a part too. This coupled with the fact there are mostly misses in even the first round of the NHL draft. Much harder to get on the ice than the gridiron. The Sabres have what, 4 recent top 5 picks on their roster in Eichel, Reinhart, Dahlin, Hall. How many other teams have that? Lottery ain’t the issue. 2020 tied for 6th worst record. Pick 8 2019 4th worst record. Pick 7 2017 5th worst record. Pick 8 2015 McDavid 2014 Reinhart taken second (worst record) point was and maybe it doesn’t explain all of the trouble...but the cumulative effects of not getting lucky in the lottery has had an impact. Doesn’t matter how many top 5 picks you had. If you had the worst record and missed out on a few number one overall picks it matters.

  3. You guys left out EJ. Losman, Edwards, EJ. Terrible QB picks. Patriots always seem to get numbers and percentages favor them because they get more picks. And they sign used cigar players with something left in the tank. and the game was and is won at the line of scrimmage. We had Peters and Dareus. They hated being in Buffalo. Sammy Watkins and Robert Woods...great players...not for us. And although I liked CJ Spiller...not a good first round pick at all...need beef on the line.
  4. #15 He took the time to shake my hand and say hi when I was a six year old in Hamburg at the Erie County Fair. 12 years later he sent me on my way to a great career in the AF. Conservatives, Liberals, Republicans, and Democrats...all had to agree that Jack was a gentleman. Kind hearted soul. Rare combination of athleticism, intelligence, compassion, and servant’s heart.
  5. Unfortunately picking a QB (every team needs and wants a franchise QB). Is like battleship at the outset. E6? miss. The second coming of ... EJ. JP. ? Both first round picks. MISS. So the 2018 draft. Darnold, Mayfield, Rosen, Allen, etc the odds are maybe one of those is a hit. Probably Rosen based on his accuracy and technique think about who in the NFL and who is a legit franchise QB?? (don’t split hairs...who is decent...I.e. better than Tyrod...) Ben R. 2004 round 1 Russell W. 2012 round 3 Drew B 2001 round 2 Cam N 2011 round 1 Tom B 1868 round 17 Aaron R 2005 round 1 Phillip R 2004 round 1 Carson W.2016 round1 Matt R. 2008 round 1 (not too many in the same year...) (OK some of us will like Goff...etc.) but how would you like Jacoby Brisset or Jay Cutler? the draft... it is so infrequent and unlikely that in one year Kelly Marino Elway ... Not gonna happen! odds are most of the QBs this year are a bust... Josh Allen...Jamarcus2.0 or Ryan Leaf??? The reality is ...he probably will not pan out! SORRY fans! media or no media. This is because most of them... bust. Every year first round picks are not the second coming of Montana. It just doesn’t happen. Maybe 1 per year...but really though it’s like one decent QB every other year or every third year among the many drafted... It’s not the media. It is just how it is...
