The amount of GMs that could potentially be good at their jobs but get fired before ever finding out due to inability to procure a quality quarterback is crazy.
Makes you wonder where Brandon Beane would be if the Bills had missed out on Allen and had to settle for, say, Josh Rosen or Mason Rudolph.
Getting the QB is really THE thing for a GM. If he hits on a QB, especially a REALLY good one, he's got job security for quite a while. If he doesn't? Back to the unemployment line.
Crazy thing with Schoen and Daboll is it seems they may not even get the chance to pick a guy. I mean...they re-signed Daniel Jones to a big contract, so I guess that counts, but...sheesh.Yeah and I have no idea what that was about, it's like they didn't even really try and rebuild just try and patch up an already sinking ship. Like were their hands tied, it's hard to understand how two people you'd generally think were probably smart would decide to keep rolling with something that had been clearly shown to not work.

Looks like the infamous Schoen quote is making the rounds again after another Barkley performance...
Dead Man Walking.
It isn't exactly fair to beat him to death with this, if they'd kept Barkley would their offense be better sure, would they be a good football team, no.
Barkley is having such a massive year because yes he's a great player, but also because he's now on a team that has other pieces around him that also work. It's weird how now on an offense with an average to decent QB with some weapons to throw to he's even more effective. Even better for him on the Eagles is he's still clearly the best offensive player.
If he'd stayed with the Giants it'd be the same old story they'd have run him into the ground again and teams would focus on him.

I would have thought it'd be the Panthers fans throwing themselves from the stands with how their team is.

The question to ask is why his Dad had the ability to transfer these funds in the first place?

QuoteNo word on whether Baker Mayfield’s “money celebration” during the Bucs’ win over the Giants on Sunday was directed as his father and the company rather than New York QB Tommy DeVito.
Well that's a classy comment from a journalist.
Sounds like a ***** situation, also he's on a second contract but he never really got a big one like Allen or Lamar did I don't think.

Josh and the Bill's only goal is the SB, they only care about the MVP in so much as it is typically an indicator that both Josh and the team are performing very well and are likely the #1 seed.

Good question. How do you get your games?
506 sports says the networks are offering me an enchanting choice of Chiefs @ Carolina, which looks to me like Cruelty to Animals
Or Lions @ Colts. I'm thinking that could potentially be a good game, one of the better early games. I thought Richardson looked pretty good against the Jets, whose D is legit. And the Colts had a legit chance to win 2 more games.
The Lions just mauled the Jaguars, but Goff looked like the 2nd Coming of Peterdude against the Texans - really really bad decision making.
So I'll be interested to see what the Colts can come up with.
General question: NE vs MIA, who we want?Chiefs vs. Panthers feels like your basically rooting for that scene from Little Giants.

Bills exposed KC so it might happen. After losing to the Bills I think that means they are now retroactively terrible.

He is going to be so checked out by the time we play him again…
Unfortunately Sam Darnold has already become a Jet castoff achieving success with the Vikings so he can't continue his Brett Farve journey, though the state of Mississippi is probably relieved.

Rex Ryan shouldn't do it he's got a good thing going on T.V. getting fired by the Jets again could ruin that.

It will be on NFL films similar to the Steve Young run vs the Vikings in the 80s
It's definitely going to get clipped and shown a lot for the rest of this season if nothing else.

I took it to mean a sign of respect at first. Clapping like, "Well done. You beat us fair and square." But then I thought he could have meant it to mock like, "Good job. You beat us again in the regular season. We'll beat you in the playoffs like we always do."
Only Kelce knows which of those he intended.
If he didn't mean it that way then he didn't think it through very well, either way doesn't matter ***** use it because ***** him every bit of motivation helps.

less than two years of starting and he's already made more big plays than Tremaine Edmunds has in his career.
Tremaine was just a little boy once he's fully grown who knows what he'll do.

I mean it is why CBS buys it every year, even though that's also why it's weirdly not a Sunday Night or Monday Night Football game.

I mean I get the idea but it wouldn't really look that great since, you know so what, we've beaten them in the regular season before.

Hey but as Jerry says they've been the 6th winningest team(where ever he pulled that stat out of) so it's all good in Dallas.

Maybe they'll just fully turn over GM duties to Rodgers, they were basically bringing in everyone he wanted anyway.

Josh Allen, NFL’s top trash-talking QB, nominated for Art Rooney Sportsmanship Award

Well the Bengals and their O-line have been pretty dedicated to giving him plenty of opportunities to do that.
