I don’t exactly love this decision…. But I can see why they did it …
He is the leader on the D and a big piece of how that side of the ball ticks … you can have your own opinions on how that’s been working out for them … but it seems to be a lot better when he is in the line up…
On the other side of the coin … his play last year seemed a surprising step back , and he has had injuries the last two years …a lot is expected on the field from that small frame
Im hoping the final numbers are closer to $10m a year than $12.5, but even more importantly is his availability over the next three years when they are in the meat of whatever is left of JA’s window.. Upgrade the D line and Secondary now please Beane
