OLC Bobby Johnson needs to go along with every guard on the team. Sign one or two above average guards and draft at least two more.

This times 1000. First figure out if you want maulers or pullers. Given how athletic DT's have become they better factor in athleticism when selecting guards. Slow, immobile and unathletic gets your QB killed. Chris Jones and Cam Heyward might still be chasing Josh.

Mix in a couple of 1 tech DT's while your at it.

  2. New England at least faced Tampa Bay and Dallas who have good offenses. Those were very competitive losses. The Bills have a good D performance vs KC. Got boat raced by Indy and Tenn. Heinecke, Brissett, Tua, White, Mills, Siemian are dreck. You decide on Roethlisberger. To me the Bills are stuck thinking they are who they were in 2020, especially on offense

  3. This week I’ m much more concerned with stopping the run. It’s a bullying Pats O line. They might not have a Jonathan Taylor but it’s a VERY good run game they bring in. If the Bills don’t control that part of the game I think they have no chance of winning, pass rush or not. To me the Pats are like the Colts offense but with a much much better defense.

  4. I’ve seen enough of Butler and he seemed to be in a LOT today. Useless waste of a uniform. Butler/Obada as the 2nd DT rotation is awful. After last year I really hoped they’d find a run stuffing DT to back up Star ( back then we didn’t even know if he’d be back) and a stud OG. More and more it seems like an egregious error in roster building

That’s tough. REALLY tough seeing NE listed under “division leaders.”

Not only are they a “division leader” but with games vs Tenn and two with the Bills, they have a clear path to be the AFC 1 seed. Their ground and pound ball control offense should give the Bills fits. They have better lines on both sides than the Bills and, unlike the Colts, have an excellent defense.

And he agreed to be responsible for any and all issues arising from it. Case closed.

You clearly havent been around when lawyers get involved. The case is nowhere near closed. It hasn't even started. Words on the page can be subject to interpretation. He has lawyers. The NFL has lawyers. Even Florio, a lawyer himself and an NFL pr guy basically acknowledges:   "The language of the indemnity agreement leaves much to be desired". Judges at multiple court levels might get to weigh in. Without a settlement, which would be pushed along by the realization it is the quickest and cheapest way to resolve the issues, this is nowhere near done.

They aren't beholden to him at all. They were the ones who allowed it to happen in the first place. They could voted no and he would have been stuck there.

He made the proposal that convinced them to do it, he bought the land, had the resources to make it happen and DID make it happen. They have a showcase pleasure palace in the biggest media market in North America. No more little St Louis and the step sister to the south with their stadium issues has been eradicated.  You are positing what the NFL lawyers will be arguing. That'll take an amazing amount of time and money to adjudicate on top of what they are going to be hit with by the Federal lawsuit in St Louis. I'd be shocked if the NFL owners don't settle with Kroenke.

Basically his entire life is a giant swindle job...marrying a Walmart Heiress to access her money and connections, screwing over St Louis and now trying to screw over his fellow owners that allowed him to screw over Saint Louis.

Dude doesn't know how to stop...have a feeling this will not play out well in NFL circles.

NFL owners are beholden to him for all the money he's made them by leaving small market St. Louis and shepherding through a massive show case palace in the biggest market in North America. He IS one of them. They may be pissed that he is breaching his indemnity agreement with them but I can just about guarantee that this bloodless shark is not going to get thrown out of the club. It's always about money. There are no other values that appeal to these people despite the public relations attempts to make you think they have an interest in patriotism (the military displays are everywhere every week), breast cancer (gotta control the women's market) and any other cause you can think of. Kroenke maybe an a...hole but he is their kind of a..hole. The lawyers will settle it out eventually and Kroenke will end up paying more but likely less than he would have if he'd abided by the indemnity provision.

  9. I think they are the best team in the AFC at the moment. From what I've seen I think they have the best lines on both sides. Like their lines better than the Bills. Games are won there. Solid run game. Ball control QB that doesn't make a lot of mistakes and can run a ball control offense. Well coached. They're done playing Dallas, TB & NO. Solid road wins vs Chargers and Panthers. Big games for them coming up vs Titans. 2X w/ Bills and Colts. I like their team better than Tennessee. Not a team to sleep on. Have to beat them, maybe twice, to win the division.

  10. Bills 23-17. I think Jax plays hard and focused, especially after playing so poorly vs Seattle.. The fear of embarrassment is a major motivator for a pro athlete and the Bills can embarrass them if they don't show up mentally and physically. The Jags have hung with Cinci and Arizona for a half and I think they can hang with Buffalo too. In avoiding losing to Miami the Bills did not suffer a turnover and had the muffed punt bounce their way. One too many turnovers and any game can go in a surprising way.

  11. I think the Patriots are a definite threat in the division. They have a better O line and just as good if not better d line. I like their pass rush a whole lot more with Judon than I like ours. Their secondary and linebackers are also good and they run the ball well. They caught a huge break (no pun intended) when Henry broke his foot as that is one of their toughest games coming up. Allen is certainly a more dynamic player than Jones but in a grind it out, ball control style, Jones fits what they do. They played a very solid mistake free game on the road to beat the Chargers. Looked like a vintage Belichick team. The 2 games with them will likely be huge.

People question who the Patriots have beaten but the Bills can't really brag about their 2 wins over last place Miami, and win over last place WFT, last place Texans and declining KC. Not a lot to brag about there.

Ike, Mongo, Ford... Maybe it's not the players... Line calls? line coach? Something is way off. Can't quite get my head around 3 different players are all awful at LG... None show any better than the next.

I seriously wonder about the O line coach as well. Regression/no development from Ford (though his initial work wasn't great to begin with), have not been able to run the ball particularly effectively beside Allen, athletic DT's wreak havoc (the hardest games for them are when the other team has a pass rushing, athletic DT), don't seem to know whether they want maulers or movement....I just wonder if the coaching is the issue
