  1. I havent had a chance to really follow them much. What has me saying that is the playoff losses and the significant loss last year. It just seemed, from memory, that they fielded better teams (win/loss) than the last few years. I think...and again this is from an outsiders lack of knowledge view...that their biggest issue was finding that star qb. Which I think urban needs in his offense. Its not like an Alabama offense which relied on its defense to win.

  2. I'm not saying Ingram is the greatest running back ever. I'm also not saying all Sabans off players usually are duds. Ridley will be good. You don't have to believe it. Foster is gone. Aj probably stays. If Np had another year under his belt he would probably be 2nd string. Ignorance leads to name calling. Try not to do so. You said duds...Ingram isnt a dud. Julio isnt a dud Cooper isnt a dud. Ridley wont be a dud. Lacy wasnt a dud until he got to and stayed in the NFL. There is great, good, and dud (bad). The players I've mention may not be great but they arent duds.

You'd probably say OJ Howard is a dud, Kenyan Drake is a dud, Derrick Henry is a dud. Man there are a lot of Alabama duds playing first string in the NFL.

Typical Saban offensive players---usually NFL duds.

You mean like Julio Jones? Amari Cooper? Calvin Ridley? The soon to be leading rusher in Saints history, Mark Ingram?

Foster issues I think are all mental. Has the physical skills but not mentally in the game.

Levi Wallace has been playing good.

    Anyone got ice cream?

I don't really have a favorite team, just root from game to game.  It just seems the rules change from year to year.  One year Saban yammers about two losses being ok and the next year it is no way.

Mostly I think they should be honest.  Why give a team the illusion that they are actually a part of the BCS, watch them go undefeated and THEN let them in on the secret?  Just chop 100+ teams out of it since they are not really allowed to participate.  Also, why punish a team for losing its conference championship game just to reward another that didn't even qualify for their's?

Alabama hasnt had two losses and played for anything. They've had one loss and played for the NC. Conference championships dont matter and arent a part of the current decision making process. That may just be something you are pushing. The goal of the committee is to get the 4 best teams. And they have done that every year. And since you don't have the balls to name your team we'll just take your posts as trolling. Enjoy Bama winning again this year .Thanks

So far, I agree. Perhaps the next game will solidify this. I hope to see a clear cut starter by the end of preseason. I really hope it's Allen!!

    It wont be Allen.

Yeah, I'm going to have to go back and rewatch the first half because I came away thinking Peterman had a slightly better night than McCarron. Although it was close.

And as far as arm strength, I also thought Peterman is slightly ahead of McCarron. There were a couple throws by McCarron where he looked like Fitz, having to put his whole body into the throw. But you guys are right that sometimes Peterman's balls have too much air...but definitely not every throw. He made some crisp passes last night. I also like Peterman's quick decisions/release. But as some of you have stated, he will have to be careful in real games to not get those routes jumped. He'll have to prove he can get it downfield now and then to keep the D honest.

I am not a "Peterman" guy. I have been expecting AJ to start the season for a while now, but Peterman impressed me last night. It will be good to see the reverse next game. To see AJ with the ones and Nate with the twos to see if that matters.

Either way, I'm feeling really good with the way all three QBs played last night.

Aj had the longest completion of all the qbs. He didnt turn the ball over and the team scored more points with him in.

Look out that 50+ page thread on Peterman doesn't tip over on you and crush you under its weight.  ?

Points for 'moot', and not 'mute', as so often seen.

One thread on NP and 5 on Allen on the first page. Zero on McCarron.....seems legit. Could care less about Rosen. Why is anyone who is a fan of this team Still talking about him?
