And if Allen had hit him on that play it would've been 6 catches on 10 targets for 80 yards or more and a TD. The obvious answer for me is choosing RJ over Flutie. I firmly believe we beat the Titans with Flutie under center. RJ was terrible, going 10-22 with 131 yards passing and 1 crucial turnover.

I love the pick, and love that we didn't have to give up our other 1st rounder. Allen has certain tools that are better than arguably anyone in the history of the NFL draft. He has other areas that need MUCH work, obviously, but so do all of the QBs in this draft. Insanely strong arm, quick release, big, athletic and a hard worker with a chip on his shoulder. I like it.

I would feel more than okay with it. EJ Manuel was projected to go (by most) late in the 1st round at best. Many had him going in the 2nd or even lower. It was a reach. Drafting Allen in the Top10 is not a reach.
