SF has to fix this - they can't let him leave.

SF isn’t winning anything without a QB.  They are an extremely talented and well coached team with no QB.  If the can trade Deebo  to pick up a QB in the draft or available veteran than I 100% think they should.

Our best offer would be Davis and pick 25.  Not sure I'd do it.

Compared to what other teams are going to offer - won't be enough.

But Davis did have a big game v Shanny in 2020.  Maybe that sticks.

Why not 2022 1st 2023 1st and 3rd?  That asking price should be comparable to the one KC got for Tyreek.

Not if you are looking for a stud DB who could be even better than Tre White, but other than that I would tend to agree the Bills should (and ultimately probably will) stay put.

Agree, me thinks that Beane wants that special Sauce (Gardner).  That’s the only player I’m trading up for in the 6-10 range.  (Nearly all mocks have Hamilton top 5 and (we don’t have the ammo for this move) that might mike it outside of the top 5.    I’d move up for a Stingley in the 10-15 range and WR (Wilson/Williams) in the 15-20 range.  Should be exciting!

Ever since Beane came to town, the Bills only seem to take physical freaks with high ceilings in the first round.

    McDuffie is not that.

I’d bet that a trade up for one of the top corners or a trade down to collect more picks in the middle rounds — the sweet spot of this draft — would be more likely.

For once I agree with your Logic.  If the board fell like this I’m thinking the Bills trade down or up to #20 with the Steelers to get ahead of the Pack and Pats for Jameson Williams.  Not sure what the compensation would be to go from 25 to 20 but maybe a 2022 4th and 2023 2nd would get it done.

and why would we let Levi Wallace go if we didn't have confidence in Dane?

Because he was roasted all season long against good QB’s.  Mahomes made Levi his b@$&? The last 3 time we played them.  We need to beat KC to get to the SB, hence, see ya Levi.

Jordan Poyer had 2 INTs in four seasons before joining the Bills.

If you don’t think a 2nd round pick from three years ago has as much of a chance of making an NFL roster as the dozen UDFA they bring to camp every year, I don’t know what to tell ya.

That’s two INT’s more than this dude has had in 4 years.  Poyer didn’t allow 64% completions and 130 QBR either.  Not a good comparison.  Just because he was a second rounder doesn’t mean he is or will be good.

I guess neither of you read the part where I mentioned he was badly miscast in Green Bay’s scheme and that I want to sign him FOR CHEAP.

He had EIGHT interceptions his junior year at Iowa. Everyone knew he was a big, strong, lanky zone corner, and the Packers took him in round two and promptly stuck him in a man-heavy scheme for which he was ill suited.

You bring 90 men to camp. I’m not saying he’s “the answer” at CB. I’m saying that I’d like to give him vet minimum and let him compete.

Would love to know what y’all’s reactions were to bringing in Jordan Poyer. Sometimes you need a second chance.

I’d rather give a guy a shot who has a chance at making the roster.  Even if your played out of position those stats are putrid.  Ted Washington has more INTs and TD’s than this guy.

I still want the Bills to sign Josh Jackson to a cheap deal. Badly miscast in GB’s scheme. I refuse to believe he doesn’t deserve a second chance, but in a scheme that suits his talents.

This is the guy you want?  I think Billy Buffalo could best these stats, and yes in costume.

“In three seasons, according to Pro Football Focus, he’s allowed a 68.8 percent catch rate with six touchdowns, zero interceptions and a 112.5 passer rating. With Jackson entering the final season of his four-year, $6.26 million contract, the cap-strapped Packers could wipe his base salary of just over $1.33 million off the books.”

There is a chance he makes a reasonable jump this year. Anyone who is writing the Dolphins off are naive. Are they the class of the AFC? No, but they will be vastly improved and will strongly compete for a playoff spot.

Tua is a scrub until he isn’t.

Keuchley is a near Hall of Famer so a comparison is unfair to most LBs, the point is that they both had/have a very crucial role in McD's defense. At one time, McD had two starting rookies CBs and has always had one who was pretty average. Not so at the MLB. As for captaincy, many players could be a captain but there was a reason Edmunds was picked at such a young age. That trait is not easily replaced.

Sometimes you just gotta cut bait.  I hope I’m wrong!!

  11. I don’t think is fair to compare Keuchley to Edmunds.  Also McD had had a top 3 CB at the time on his roster who got paid by Washington and stopped trying.  I’m picking up what your putting down on the importance of continuity of captaincy but let’s be honest Von can fill that role.

Yes, let's create an even bigger hole.

You mean like the one Edmunds continually misses 😂.  In all seriousness, he’s still extremely you and has tons of untapped potential but his salary does not match his play IMHO.  An upgrade at CB (especially if Tre misses time) could arguable be more pivotal to the Def than a MLB.  I’m not sold on a rookie DB improving our SB odds next year. In the future, yes, just not this year.

Curious how this offseason's roster turnover compares to other teams (in terms of sheer numbers)  Seems like we've done a massive overhaul around the core guys.

    OUT:

    Harrison Phillips

    Star Lotululei

    Vernon Butler

    Jerry Hughes

    Mario Addison

    AJ Klein

    Levi Wallace

    Cole Beasley

    Emmanuel Sanders

    Jon Feliciano

    Darryl Williams

    Matt Breida

    Mitch Trubisky

    Davis Webb

    IN:

    Daquan Jones

    Tim Settle

    Jordan Phillips

    Von Miller

    Shaq Lawson

    Marquel Lee

    Roger Saffold

    Greg Mancz

    Duke Johnson

    OJ Howard

    Jamison Crowder

    Case Keenum

    Matt Barkley

Not a single person on that out list would I want back (in a starting role).  I don’t get the love for Levi, dude gets burned more than Hellen Kellers toast.  Everyone else is non starting quality.

we dropped 17 players from 2020 to 2021.  25% to 33% turnover seems to be the norm these days

good news.  Tells me we are looking at WR still.  not sure who is left?

We’ve lost 2 WRs and have not signed any replacements.  Looks like we will be targeting the draft for one.  I’d anticipate adding one from the FA lot.  Too bad on Robinson, 15M per is a solid deal the Rams got.
