I think this might be the best offensive line Josh has ever had - time will tell. It allows us to run the ball, run screens, let routes develop, etc. I’m not sure anyone can stop us (besides ourselves)…..maybe slow us down.
The big test team wise which everyone is discussing, is stopping the run against the Ravens. We do that and I believe we are a pretty complete team.

This could be the catch phrase of the group who claim the WR corps is clearly better this season than it was at this point last season. 😂
I am enjoying the Bills taking advantage of being better prepared and executing better than the opponents they've had to face. Just like I did last year(when I also didn't think their WR group was good enough to reach a SB with).
But then the offense went from being incredible all the way to the point where the OC got fired at midseason.
Teams will adjust. It's not natural for opponents to assume that Josh Allen isn't even going to try to stretch the field with his WR's so early season defensive game plans have been vulnerable. But the tape will force them to adapt.
The thing about having playmakers as opposed to role players is that playmakers require extra attention to take away........which opens up other avenues for the offense.
Role players can just be schemed out.
I'd hate to see the Bills forced to have a heavy reliance on their outside WR's later in the season.........but if I was a DC that's what I'd be scheming to make happen. I'm not going to just let you run 12 play drives if you are going to execute them and score 4 TD's in the first half. I will make you throw it deep to MVS or Coleman or Hollins and take my chances that the mistakes will come in abundance there.
Yeah, in context, I said I believe the catch % over the first 3 games is probably better 🤫. I also said no one can make a judgement yet that the WR’s are better - we need more games….but they do look good so far.
Here’s the catch phrase of the group that says our WR are considerably worse - “look at their yards! They are not getting separation!” 😭 = Josh Allen sux then too 😂
I think most sane peeps realize we need to see more games in order to judge our WR corps, but so far, so good.
You’re also the one who probably said Allen sucked after his first three games. Players need time to develop. If you are already discounting Coleman as a #2 or #3 or worse, you clearly don’t watch football. Who knows his trajectory - you certainly don’t. (Please see Rousseau, Bernard, Cook, etc…..)

The WR corps hasn't been better than it was early last season. Diggs himself was putting up pinball numbers. The focus so far has just been taken off of the WR corps. Which was the trend at the end of last season. The numbers are clear about that. The OL is better. The RB's and TE's are better(and more of the focus). The WR's......nah.
Not sure you can even say that based upon the number of pass attempts. Without even looking, I’ll tell you the catch % is much higher with this group through the first three games than last years group…..so one could say the WR corps IS better than early last season. Individual perspective.
As some have mentioned above, it’s way too early to anoint this group better or worse. So far though, they are trending in the right direction.

Brady will be headed to CIN for a Burrow reunion next season if they keep losing.

I have a bad feeling about this game. 0-2 Jags backed into a corner and going all out against a top team. Not that I think Buffalo will lose, but it will go down to the late 4th Q
I get where you’re coming from, but I think we’re gonna stomp them. We haven’t seen the full effect of our passing attack yet. I think Allen and our WR’s are gonna eat them up - 300+ yds and 3 passing TD’s. NFL is gonna be put on notice this ain’t no building year.

It just amuses the hell out of me that Bojo by report, wouldn't take the Bills offer because he wanted to play out west instead of in nasty cold snowy Buffalo....
....and in fact, was able to sign with the LA Rams.
Good for him, except he lost the battle to their established punter, got traded to warm sunny Green Bay, Wisconsin, and then I believe pretty much his only offer was with the Browns.
So much for playing on the West Coast, Bojo.
I did not know this. Great pull!

Worth noting that the last 3 seasons Buffalo has started off hot...4-1 in 2021, 5-1 in 2022, and 3-1 last year highlighted by the 48-20 romp vs. Miami. In each of those starts they were good scoring (over or near 30 points per game).
Then came the mid-season 8 game swoon where suddenly what was working isn't anymore. And each season to overcome that, they needed Josh carrying the ball even though it was a priority at the start of the season for him not to.
That's the script 3 years running and there's a likelihood it repeats itself this year except this year, there's no Diggs to catch passes.
Agreed - and that’s a good thing that Diggs wont be catching passes. Defenses wont be able to just focus on him, besides the fact he is slowly falling off the cliff. I think some people are going to be surprised when we open up the passing attack.

Morse had 6 concussions in 8 years. Not sure if he ever had any fencing episodes like Tua.

A very astute opinion and observation.
even in other countries, mine included, a 22-23 kid Is way too young and immature to carry a gun and expect to control whatever situation they walk in to.
hell,
30 year old kids today have their heads so far up the arses, it’s unbelievable.
Tell that to the military.

The offense is going to be a lot different this season minus Diggs and Davis than it was last year. They feature no decent options downfield and defenses will focus on defending a shorter field. I don't see Cook replicating last season for that reason. If he's dropping passes now, he'll do it in the regular season when the element of an intermediate passing game was in place.
Fred Jackson had almost 1,400 yards in 10 games in 2011 when he went down with a season-ending injury.
And if there's a choice between a 2009-2011 era Fred Jackson or 2023 James Cook the choice is easy who I'd want on the field at RB. And it ain't Cook.
In Fred Jackson’s 2nd year, he had 571 rushing yards and 317 receiving.
Cooks 2nd year, he had 1122 rushing yards and 445 receiving.
Comparing where they are in their careers, it’s not even close.
Cook caught 82% of his passes last year. Did he have some critical drops - yes. Should we relegate him to the bench?
-
The beloved Fred Jackson had 4 or more fumbles in FIVE of his seasons. Never had 1,500 total yards either.
Fred Jackson’s catch % was 73.7% for his career in Buffalo.Cooks catch % so far is 75.6%
Marshall Faulk’s career % was 75.7%

Knox is so physical after the catch, a beast in red zone, and a plus blocker. He's expensive but hes an ideal TE2.
Knox doesn’t have the greatest hands though. He’s like our Cook of TE’s. he will have some unbelievable plays and then some maddening head scratchers. 26 targets last year before he got hurt and he dropped 4. Kincaid had 78 targets and dropped 4.
Might not be a stretch for Davidson to be a better pass catcher. It’s not like Knox was some stud coming out of college - he caught 39 passes.
-
Hopefully some of these pre-season games allow us to see what type of blocker Davidson is. He has great hands by all trading camp accounts. Would love a 6’7” athletic TE to add to the arsenal.
-
Davidson is a bit of an athletic freak for the position. COVID year didn’t let him shine, like a lot of kids.
“at his pro day a week ago (Davidson's 37 ½-inch vertical would have been tops among all tight ends in the 2020 combine, and his 4.62 40-yard dash and 6.95 three-cone drill would have ranked second among everyone at his position a year ago, but they aren't 6-foot-7).”

It's an aberration not worth worrying about.
The kid has outstanding hands.
Agreed - Better catch % than Diggs, Justin Jefferson, Puca Nanci an and more. Great thing is we have other phenomenal hands guys that we can go to if someone is having a dropsy game.

This is where Libs like you go off the rails.
Conservatives believe in the constitution and Bill of Rights.
Libs want:-To ban freedom of speech
-To get rid of the 2nd amendment
-To allow illegal aliens freely into our country
-To create a nanny state
-Rekindle racism
-Force individuals to comply with the government by any means necessary
The list goes on…..
I’m curious (and probably correct), but you strike me as someone who has had a rough life and relied upon government subsidies to get through OR possibly too much indoctrination in universities with degree stacking but not many results.
Just bumping.
Your lack of response is deafening and I would surmise I hit the nail on the head. 🤣
-
I posted below in response to a poster in another thread. Libs would not respond because they could not wrap their heads around logic.
Obviously you’re advocating for the assassination of Trump - no if, and, or buts. Out of curiosity, the vast majority of Libs are for severe gun control. The 2nd amendment’s main purpose is to enable an armed populace which can rise against a tyrannical government.
If Trump wins election, libs believe it is the end of our democracy - hell, even Biden said those exact words.
Wouldn’t you want guns with which to overthrow the gov’t?

If The Bills Add One Position, Where Do you Spend the Money?

I was the first one to vote for DT. I see three of my dearest friends have joined me in that vote. We are gong to take our victory lap now that the Bills have run with our suggestion.
