In the Bengals Chiefs game Mahomes was kinda average as well. The difference is his defense only allowed the Bengals 20 total points. The three times the Bills were within one score in the Bengals game 7-0, 14-7, 17-10 the defense gave up a score on the very next possession. Cause as Greg Cosell and Chris Simms have consistently pointed out he’s asked to do more than any qb they’ve ever seen cause the GM and Coach have a bug for being defense first people.

You are correct I don’t know what more Allen can do. Cincy and KC have built their teams around their QBs by sticking heavy resources into their olines. Beane relies on Allen to be a one man offense so he can stick heavy resources into the defense. I honestly don’t know if that will change while Beane and McDermott are in charge as both are defense first guys.

Dawson has talent I can forgive the early part of the season what he was dealing with outside of football cause my goodness that had to have an impact on him. The thing about him though is hands are inconsistent he can make an amazing catch but he drops easy ones. Hes definitely paid like a Top5 TE and I think he would really benefit from adding a solid number 2 TE.

The thing I hope is that Beane doesn’t keep relying on Allen to basically patch holes on the offense so he can keep loading up on defensive personnel in the off seasons to come. Hopefully he sees what happened to Josh’s pal Mr Rogers with Green Bay his last 5 or so years there and instead keeps adding to the offense as well

I can live with Drew Sanders as he is fantastic but if the second and third isn’t a WR or TE or OL than I think to call for Beanes resignation

Terrible Terry as the Number 2 would destroy the league with Allen throwing him the ball he is really really good and maybe the most underrated receiver in the league
