  1. i will add my drafts thoughts

-- i do think we will trade up but hoping we stay at 12 and draft whatever QB is still there..

-- If we stay at 12 then i am hoping we trade 22 and move down-- great scenario would be to trade with Giants for the 2nd rd pick and there 2 3rd round picks

-- we need a QB, WR(maybe 2 of them) LB, OG C, DT -- if we trade up- we may not get to address all our needs

--  hoping we dont have to use next years #1 or #2 because if we suck this year then that will be a high pick

--  I would draft Darnold in top 5 -- i would see if rosen and Mayfield drop to somewhere between 6 and 11-- i would draft Allen at 12 and Jackson at 22 and leave any other QB for end of 2nd round

-- I dont think Russ Brandon will have any input-- dont think McDermott will allow it. McDermott is not a foo-foo kind of guy and knows he needs quality players for the process-- McDermott also knows that if we are to sell tickets then winning is the best scenario to do that

-- I do know whoever our QB is-- people wont be happy

-- and as i was doing my drafts on first-pick.com-- i did pick mostly seniors as McDermott loved those guys last year

March 17th 9:00am Beane calls Ballard:

    Beane: I'll give you our 21st, 22nd and 65th for your 3rd.

Ballard: Hmmm. Give me 5 minutes

March 17th 9:05am Ballard calls Maccagnan:

Ballard: I've got a decent offer from another team, but we really want to stay in the top 10. What can you offer?

Maccagnan: I'll give our 6th, 37th, 49th and next years 2nd rounder, which should be around 35.

Ballard: Silence.... more silence... "Where do I sign?"

March 17th 9:10am Ballard calls Beane:

Ballard: I got a really good deal... Here's what I will need for you to match, Your 21st, 22nd, 53rd, 65th and next years 1st rounder.

    Beane: Silence... more silence... *click*

    Yep. Beanes fault.

And Beane then made the right move.. No way will i give up that much.

Something I've been thinking. Bills fell asleep at the wheel. Why do I say this? Everyone said Colts didn't want to trade out of the top 10. I believed this also, but the more I see mock drafts and hear the Colts GM saying he's not apposed to moving down the more I think Beane overplayed his hand for the 3rd pick. Beane probably tried to haggle and they said, screw you and took a deal with the Jets.

    Now here's the hard part.

I believe if Whaley is the GM we have the 3rd overall pick today and everyone is projecting we get Darnold or Rosen. It's sickening. Whaley would have given up "too much" but we'd be in a better position. JMO.

and if Whaley was the GM-- he would have taken an offensive lineman.

i also disagree .. Jets gave up a lot just to move 3 spots,  Rumor has it the Bills did make an offer but of course Jets offered more and Indy only had to move down to 6th

I was a huge RH fan, but he brought it on himself.  He had all the tools, but rarely but a complete game together. The sacks were atrocious.  He had the season finale against the Colts which won him the Titans game and he left that field a winner.

Other than that, he never did anything to shut up the Flutie supporters. And when Flutie was out there, he was electric.  But a Flutie equally lost us the Dolphins playoff game.

They were polar opposite players. So when one didn’t do well, you automatically wanted the other

Rob Johnson is the personification of how difficult it is to evaluate qbs. From a tools standpoint he has it all. But that isn't the essence of the position. It's how you see things and react. His inability to not take sacks and instead just throw it away or take the outlet play would drive you crazy.

At the time I advocated for RJ over Flutie. I still believe that he was a better qb. The more public and personable Flute was a better self-promoter and had a more compelling story than the bland and inscrutable RJ. Much of the public support for Flutie had to do with the fact that the Buffalo audience related better to Flute than Johnson.

    1) i agree with both these statements.

    2) but RJ should get over it..." be better , not bitter"

    3) why is this article brought up again--  wasnt this mentioned when the article first came out?

More like One Bills "Ready to Hang Up the Headsets", One Bills "jive", One Bills "white", One Bills "hive", uh, um...seriously work sucks enough without listening to homer geezers all afternoon. I miss you Donald already even though you're actually not that great either.

dont be a hater... they have good insight...

He started 2.  I predicted his future before he started a single NFL game though...... in fact before he was drafted.  Everyone will know where to find me if I end up being wrong.  I won't be.  Peterman sucks.

you cant even count the snow game as that would not have been a good day for anyone...

and you never did answer the question of when did you get hired by the NFL and think that you know so much??
