Let's be real Allen probably would've been there at 12. (especially after the tweets as no team wants to deal with that).
if you want to be real... check that Arizona wanted Allen as well

We gave away an opportunity to build a deep solid roster and to give away so much for a QB who I believe was the 7th or 8th rated QB in this draft was a huge mistake. The trade up for Edmunds would have been a great move if we didnt already give away both 2nds for Allen. I would have preferred us to stay put and still would have probably been able to get Allen but I'd rather have had Rosen. Hands down the best passer in this draft. But i would have wanted us to use all the picks to build a savage squad and gave away the farm next year for a QB and gave mccarron a chance to prove himself n just to build a team that was a QB away from greatness. I hope Allen develops into a Super Bowl QB but if he doesnt this draft will go down as a huge franchise failure and will set us back for years compared to what we could have done with the arsenal of picks we had
are you watching the same draft... or are you watching animal planet

love the videos-- I am 50/50 on the pick but I will trust that the GMs and coaches know more then we do in evaluating talent. I will give him a chance. to say it was a bad pick less then 24 hours after the pick is ignorant people.

Just give it a rest. Kids garbage as a top end 1st rounder. Needs 2 years on the bench on a team that.....wait for it... HAS NO HISTORY OF DEVELOPING PROJECT QBs.
Epic fail for us last nite. We need a new QB again.
you do know grasshopper that the easiest way to get rest from a discussion is to stop replying to it...

Actually, the people who picked Allen did not pick Maybin over Orakpo, or Wittner over Ngata, or EJ Manuel. Do you even follow your own team?
Also, you want to dismiss the expertise of people who do this for a living when it comes to picking someone you don't like, yet rely on the expertise of people who do this for a living to quote them in the negative aspects about Allen. Make up your mind.
Backing you on this one... when ever a guy is disliked by someone --they will site sources of others who also is negative on that player and ignore sources who are positive. I am in the middle and give him a chance.

Swirling winds matter too.
Yeah... I am concerned about his accuracy. But keeps the "happy feet" down... He will be okay. Whos to say he can't be the nexy Jim Kelly. Big, strong, and able to work in WNY.
That was Kelly's big issue, not setting up to plant.
Gotta get the Oline in shape now.
I am in the middle.
I feel the same way as you!

This is a stupid post. Go root for another team if you don't like the Allen pick? Get real dude. I m not going to tell you Allen is going to suck, but I would have rather had Rosen and if people are upset about the Allen pick, they don't just have to accept it or find another team.
only thing stupid is people creating new profiles to protest the pic .. people starting new threads when the topic is in 10-15 other threads .. people talking **** how this pick sucks without giving him a chance...

Ive seen grades from A+ to F
and that sounds accurate... people will love this pick or hate it,, just wondering if the haters will support him or bash him for every thing he does

when the Bills drafted Whitner over Ngata and Maybin over Orakpo. The fans made the right call in those cases over the Bills' Front Office.
then next time do something about it rather then creating posts that are repeat posts and crying about it

Continue to kiss ass and lock step. I’m allowed to be upset when they trade up for a damn project QB in the first. Sorry man, but you can keep kissing non-existent rings because it makes you feel warm and secure and you don’t have to waste brain power on your own thoughts and feelings, but I’m not a follower and I have my own thoughts. I’ve been watching this team make stupid personnel decision, one after the other, so I’m allowed to be pissed at trading up for a project QB.
then go root for another team and dont let the door hit you on the way out... I am not particular happy about the pick but i am not going to whine about it.
or better yet-- if you can do a better job then go out and become a GM-- if you wont do that then all i can do is laugh at your posts.

SDS -- oh moderator of threads.. why not lock this thread and close it out.... same ole bull **** being spewed out by Allen backers and Allen haters....

I'm almost positive he would have been. Giving up all we did to move up 5 spots was quite dumb, a side from drafting Allen over Rosen...
Allen would have went to the Cardinals at 10 and rosen to the dolphins at 11--- we would have been stuck with mason rudolph

For the Bills sake and especially for the fans. I hope you're dead wrong.
My post has a ton of sarcasm in it and I as well hope that the meaning of my post is "dead wrong"

This has been said elsewhere and better, but to get it off my chest: How many "big-armed" busts have to be drafted on potential for "experts" to learn? Look no further than E.J. Manuel and J.P. Losman, for god's sake. We all know what comes next: "Give him time, he's still developing"; "It's the scheme, not him"; "he needs a better surrounding cast"; "it's the coordinator!" before finally, five years from now, "Maybe we can get a late-round pick for him from some sucker team."
woo hooo.. 5 years from now-- we get a late round pick!!! that would be friggin awesome because he would have lasted longer them EJ and many others... again WOOO HOOOO

I have been on this wonderful board for many, many years. Now, I am reading these posts that are absolutely hating the Allen pick and it is hard to understand why. Almost every season, I was on this board blasting yet another idiotic first round pick by the Bills. For instance: A #8 (in a stacked draft) on an undersized Donte Whitner? How about a 1st on a half dead Willis McGahee? In 2008 we had a very poor OL. It was awful. We drafted Leotis McKelvin, passing up both Ryan Clady and Branden Albert.
I could go on and on but my point is that fans were generally supportive of these clearly stupid picks. Now, we finally use resources on a big, strong quarterback and most people seem to hate the kid. Why? Because he said stupid things when he was a toddler? Because he went to a small school?
After what seemed like forever, we took a chance on solidifying the most important position on the field. We moved up to make sure we landed a qb with a cannon arm. What is SO freaking bad?
I for one am glad that we did something smart (for a change) in round 1, and welcome this young man to Buffalo.
GO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
my opinion is that QB is the most important position and basically Jim Kelly was out last great/good QB. there will be people in the football media world that will give the Allen pick a low grade and the Allen haters will stand by these people .

They didn't know that Allen was a racist?
I find that hard to believe in this day and age with all of the technology right at everyone's fingertips that they didnt do their due diligence and plead ignorance that they didnt know that Allen made those tweets..........or are the rest of Bills nation either just that stupid or just that gullible.
i also like to add that so many posters believe they did so much digging on each QB that even they didnt find this out. It very well could be that many teams didnt find out. I am optimistic that Allen has learned from this and he will become a better man because of this

i will give a B-- not too fond of losing the picks but we drafted who the Bills brass believe will be great
-
love the pick... and he will have a great defensive coach to bring out the best in him

Is it fair to make another thread because you feel your take is so important you wouldn't want it to get lost in the other threads already about this topic?
i totally agree== this tweet was just reported less then 12 hours ago and already 3 maybe more threads on the same topic. but this board is packed with people who need to start new threads about the same topic so they get some type of gratification.

Schopp is the worse-- if you dont agree with him-- he will be condescending and/or hang up on you. Howard is a tool and should be embarrassed when he goes on his rants...but i like them because it makes me laugh. Jeremy believes he knows everything and Bullfrog is a bit of all three of them
