If we don't go for Rashaan Evans I like BYU's Fred Warner.

I feel that finding a running back to back up McCoy WHO IS NOT A SERIOUS DROP-OFF is almost as important as wide receiver .
Let me introduce you to North Carolina State RB/FB/HB/WR/TE Jaylen Samuels

If we stay at #21 he’s the only QB I’d consider.

OP is spot on. Interesting way to put it.
We somehow broke our playoff curse. Now let’s get our QB and be a perennial contender. Nothing closes the gap faster than a top end QB and there’s two available this year that we can go get.
I’m willing to sacrifice some draft capital to force the issue. It’s been 22 years since our last Franchise QB retired. I’m not willing to wait another year and hope a QB magically falls into our lap.

Well i never said Jameis... and Matt Ryan is a pretty good comparison but I wouldn't say high end Matt Ryan lol
thats pretty much a QB who is going to the HoF so it would be hard to be a high end Matt Ryan Who is an MVP
i would take him instantly if he'd be Matty Ice
Fair enough. I should’ve said better armed, better mobility Matt Ryan.

I like Rosen....but I dont like him for potentially 3 1sts.
I think Mayfield has a better shot to make it. Shorter QB, prolly the smartest of this years bunch. The xfactor here....hes got something to prove because of that height. Nothing like a chip on your shoulder to keep you goin every day.
I like Mayfield a lot and I know he's going to be really good at the next level but he's the not the smartest QB in the class. That's Rosen by far.

Josh Rosen is a bigger armed Matt Ryan and he's more mobile than him too.

Same.
I really hope we give him a solid OL to watch his back.
Gotta protect our investment.
Wouldnt want our investment to get his head messed up cuz people didnt do their due diligence.
We can start with drafting Frank Ragnow-C Arkansas in the 2nd and Wyatt Teller-G Virginia Tech in the 4th. That gives us three building pieces if you add Dion Dawkins. That gives us a nice base going into next year's Draft and FA.

Rosen always throws tight spirals. He has better rotation on his Footballs
He's more high end Matt Ryan than Eli or Jameis

I'm always against giving interior DL paydays. They treat those contracts like a destination and not a continuation of what got them there. Also he's not special. Much rather invest in a young DL in the Draft in a really good DL class.

Do you really think that Rosen is a fit for the culture McDermott and Beane are trying to build? I don't.
Let's get the much lesser QB in Josh Allen who's good at QB cliches and not good at completing rudimentary passes into the flat

If you can't get excited about a QB class of Rosen, Mayfield, Darnold, Jackson then you're never going to be excited

Getting Paul Richardson would be really nice

Yep, ran a filthy route and would have scored if the DB (and I don’t mean Defensive Back) Buster Skrine didn’t blatantly trip (and injure him) because he got beat
that game sucked on so many levels
I took that L hard lol

Remember how he looked like he was going to break out during the Jets game and then got injured. Can't wait till we pair him with Rosen and he's a perennial Pro Bowler.

We need to draft him just for the press conferences with the Buffalo media. Priorities.
Honestly he's going to garner so much attention with the National media with his takes
58 minutes ago, Gordio said:I don't know, he is the most pro QB ready & pure passer in this draft, but don't confuse him with guys like Andrew Luck, Peyton Manning, John Elway. This guy is far from a sure thing like those prospects were viewed.
His only real knock is durability. That's it. He can do anything he wants on the field.
-
My only 'real concern' with Rosen is the concussions. He's had two that we know of. He comes from an affluent family. His dad was on the shortlist to be Obama's surgeon general. Maybe a few more forces him to walk away. I don't know but I'm willing to take the chance. The kid has it all.

It scares NFL teams because they want someone that they can control. Mindless zombies in unison where no one person is above the team. Don't ask questions just do what we say.
This is my favorite article on Rosen and it will tell you everything you need to know about the young man . I posted a thread about it last year in case anyone missed it: http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/a-beautiful-brash-mind/
He's the best QB in a very long time and the only reason he is not #1 is because he has a mind of his own and he intends to use it. He's using football which isn't any different from how football uses and discards players every day. He just understands that and is using it to his advantage.
You hit it right on the nose. NFL guys love zombies. Especially at QB. Maybe they eventually get to him but I'm not passing on him because he might have an opinion on Trump that mirrors the majority of this country.

I find this quote interesting as well:
"I'm not a fan of, like, powerhouses," he says. "I like messing up the system. I'm all about equality and kind of bringing some phoenixes from the fire."
With that information in mind, Buffalo is the *perfect* spot for you....if it happens, you'll be dragging this franchise and its fans everywhere out of the fired ruins of despair.
This is the exact quote that fired me up yesterday when I read it. I don't think he's going to be throwing a hissy fit if we move up to #2 and take him. I wish we were a fly in the room the first time he meets Beane and McDermott at the Combine.

Except that just getting to #2 doesn’t mean you have a franchise QB. Trading that much gets you a chance to pick a non-guaranteed prospect.
Let's forfeit all our picks
-
UPDATE: Eric Galko on his latest podcast says the cost for the Bills to get to #2 will be 21st, 22nd, 2019 2nd Rd Pick and Cordy Glenn. If that's true then it is a steal for us.
That's all it'll take to get our Franchise QB? ANNOUNCE IT NOW!

LOL! Right.

None of them really strike me as not being able to handle that, but the teams do a lot of digging outside of the actual player interviews to uncover that as well.
Think Rosen, Mayfield and Jackson could handle it.

Unless of course Allen ends up being good.
It's not a bet I would make if my job was on the line. Then again NFL guys are size queens.

I think he gets taken in the 2nd-3rd. Can totally see Pats taking him and him becoming a rookie Pro Bowler lol
