I’m starting to think he’s the one they will pick - late. Just a hunch. But they have the time to let him heal given the current RB core.

He's a great kid too. Love the idea of him having a RS season behind two of the best RB's of the last 15 years.

Vegas is usually spot on. we have to be realistic we will win between 4 and 7. Last year ours was 5.5 and people thought Vegas was nuts because we just made playoffs. fact is we didnt add much on fofense, have old rb's a terrible line and as far as wr's and TE's we are in the bottom 5 for weapons for allen. Defense is solid but dont even have multiple pro bowl/all pros like other teams have

made playoffs year prior and then vegas put us at 5.5 and people thought vegas was nuts, they are always very spot on for the most part, do it for a living and were right on the money last year

I like Allen but for one they played crap teams and winning in college means literally nothing. Matt Leinart, Brady Quinn Jamesis Winston, etc were all winners in college to more so then Allen.

That said Allen will be great, we just really need to surround him with players in the draft, for weapons we are in the bottom 5 of the league especially at TE and RB

All of those guys played at blue blood programs. I think it's overrated too for the most part except in these instances. Allen was surrounded with nothing and turned his program into a winning one the two years he played. Look at Wyoming's record before he got there.

I can see why many think so highly of Oliver - his quickness is undeniable and he appears to play very hard.  My concerns with Oliver are:

    1. Height/length - he is not short, but below ideal height for the position and his arms are relatively short for the position as well

    2. Weight - He is certainly strong, but he will be giving away 40 to 50 pounds to NFL offensive lineman.  Can he thrive giving up that much mass and for how long?

    3. Level of competition - Rice, Texas Southern, Tulsa, East Carolina, Navy, South Florida, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Memphis and Army were all on the schedule in 2018.  On the flip-side, He didn’t have much talent around him on Houston to take opponent’s attention off him.

None of the above means that he isn’t a very good prospect nor that he can’t find great success in the NFL, but they are (IMHO) legitimate areas of concern when comparing him against other prospects.

He's not a perfect prospect but I feel fairly confident in him. He's my guy but I'm not going to be throwing a tantrum if McDermott/Beane go a different way.

I could see TB at #5 moving down......that's about it.....not sure who or why the bills would go after at that spot

I think Buf will stay at #9 only if Hockenson is still there. otherwise trade down, no more than 5 spots....so many viable options there.

to me, Hockenson will be a perennial pro bowler vs the 5th/6th best D-lineman will only become a solid starter

If Raiders go Devin White at #4 that might mean Quinnen Williams is there at #5

When you think of how bad they botched the QB situation and the fact that a player literally quit the team at halftime its kinda amazing they got 6 wins.

    The Josh Allen effect

    2016 at Wyoming
    8 wins

    4 losses by 3 points

    2017 at Wyoming

    8 wins in 11 games

    Kid's a winner

Tillery was actually more productive in college from the standpoint of sacks than Ed Oliver and Quinton Williams.  There was some question about his attitude.  Supposedly, he didn't always get along with Notre Dame Coach, Brian Kelly.

That just makes me like him more. Brian Kelly is a mark!

I think 9ers could go Bosa but also could go Williams.

The Jets are Bosa or Allen

The Raiders I think will take Devin White

Whoever is left will go to Tampa.

I agree though it is hard after those 5 to predict the order of the next 15 players picked.... Do the Giants go QB? If not where do they go?

Sounds like the Giants are going QB with their second pick which doesn't make sense LOL!

I'd be totally fine with these picks, if they happened.

    15) bil-mark-1-rgb_1488858415418_56401400_ver1.0_60_45.jpg (from WAS) - TE TJ Hockenson, Iowa

    40) bil-mark-1-rgb_1488858415418_56401400_ver1.0_60_45.jpg - DT Jerry Tillery, Notre Dame

    46) bil-mark-1-rgb_1488858415418_56401400_ver1.0_60_45.jpg (from WAS) - OT Tytus Howard, Alabama State

I would plan a parade. TE, DT and LT of the future on the first two days is excellent. Three of my favorite guys in the Draft.

  9. Top 5 seems pretty set with

    CARDINALS-KYLER MURRAY
    NINERS-NICK BOSA
    JETS-JOSH ALLEN
    RAIDERS-QUINNEN WILLIAMS
    BUCS-DEVIN WHITE

It gets murky after that with the Giants, Jaguars and Lions who are most rumored with Jawaan Taylor, Montez Sweat, Rashaan Gary, TJ Hockenson, Ed Oliver, Greedy Williams, Johnah Williams and Ed Oliver

  10. Devine Ozigbo's agent need to give me commission the amount of times I bring up his name. I love that kid and would love for him to be the third guy behind McCoy and Gore. Two great professionals to learn from.

It's going to be really interesting to see where Rodney Anderson and Bryce Love go. If they stayed healthy they would've been taken in the first two days. Now they're Day 3 guys.

James Washington from Washington State is another guy I like. Interesting player who's had 202 receptions, 1437 receiving yards and 8 TD's as a RB in college. That's insane. I don't think he ever becomes a star like Ozigbo, Anderson and Love but he's going to have a solid NFL career as a change of pace back/3rd down guy.

  11. We're a better running team with Hockenson and a better passing team with Hockenson. It's like getting two players in one. He's instantly the best TE the Bills have had in two decades. And he's a great kid.

I'd be pretty excited with Ed Oliver, Montez Sweat, Jawaan Taylor or D.K. Metcalf at 9 as well. It's one of those years where I'm going to be happy either way so that's pretty cool.

People need to ask themselves, if we already had 2 top flight TE’s on the roster, would they still take Hockenson at #9... I say this because I don’t think Beane will reach on a TE just because it is a position of need...he is a good prospect- no doubt, but there seems that there will be better talent at that pick.

He seems to be a consensus Top 10 talent so I don't think it's a reach at all

If you are saying that you favor a guy with high upside, I can understand.  However, based on history it isn't anywhere near a given that a guy at pick 9 will be "multiple time Pro Bowler/All Pro guy".

I like Hockenson - love his attitude, effort, desire, blocking and he is a good receiver (maybe not great, but good).  Oliver, on the other hand- I won't be disappointed if they take him, but his lack of size and relative lack of productivity concern me.  My concern with Oliver isn't really anything to do with his attitude or "jacket-gate", when I watch game tape of him he clearly plays with good effort and his quickness is really outstanding.  That being said, he looks very small out there even against college competition and while I recognize that he was consistently double-teamed I didn't feel like he was a dominating player in the games that I watched.

The fact that there were up to 4-6 hands on Ed Oliver at all times the last few years he did pretty great.

My personal list is at #9:

    T.J. Hockenson

    Ed Oliver

    D.K. Metcalf

    Montez Sweat

    Jawaan Taylor
