TJ Hockenson and Jerry Tillery
or
Christian Wilkins and Irv Smith
-
Hockenson gives us a mismatch nightmare and confuses the defense on every play because they won't be able to tell if we're running or passing. Positional value my balls man. He's a 10 year quality player who will make a few All Pro teams and is great in the locker room and will be great in the community.
We all have our preferences at #9 but if we do take him I hope no one complains too much. I'll be happy with Oliver, Williams, Wilkins, Hockenson, Metcalf or Dillard at #9. I trust Beane/McDermott at this point.

At that point we would need to throw in something else as compensation. It'd be something like 9, 112, &181 for 23, 54, & 55.
Nah they're desperate for an OT. Pull their card.

Trying to mentally prepare for the DK pick...

Three raw gems in Allen, Edmunds and Metcalf

So if the Bills were to trade down with Carolina, swapping #9 for #16 and #47, do the Bills turn around and package their own 2nd rd pick (#40) and #47 to move back into the 1st round?
I would hate that tbh. There's no difference between the 20th pick and the 47th pick in this Draft. Rather get two good players then the one good player.

Or 23, 54 and 55

Trade down from #9 to #16 and target Christian Wilkins or TJ Hockinson.
Trade up from #40 and target Jerry Tillery/Jeffery Simmons or Noah Fant.
Green Bay and Miami are in love with Christian Wilkins. If we want him we need to take him at #9.
-
Gun to head it's between Andre Dillard and Christian Wilkins
-
Chances of him being there at #9 are slim. Now if Carolina trades up with Detroit we're screwed out of Andre Dillard.
-
He's definitely in the running at #9 and if we trade down so brace yourselves
-
I don’t think either are on the board at 9 unless Detroit trades out of 8 with Carolina who love Dillard.
-
People are going to lose their minds if we take Metcalf at 9 but I love the gamble and the belief that they can coach him up.

Big possibility that Quinnen/Jonah Williams, Allen, Oliver and Hockenson are all gone before our pick.
Nightmare scenario
-
Oliver's solidified his Top 5 status. Can't see anyway he drops to us now. I'm guessing their second choice is T.J. Hockenson but it sounds like the Lions are in love with him. We're probably down to our 3rd choice Jonah Williams and he might not make it past the Giants/Jags.
I hope a trade up is in the works for Ed Oliver.

Last year was too much. This year we're deciding on Oliver, Williams, Hockenson and there isn't a consensus.
-
Seems like Hockenson won't even be available by the time we pick. It's not a lock but Lions seem 'HOT' for him.
-
I'd be disappointed if we don't win 10+. Not even a homer but we should be challenging the Pats for the division this year.

Hoping Miles Boykin/Stanley Morgan is there in the 4th and Josh Oliver/Devine Ozigbo as our other 4th

Joe B just came out with his Mock Draft and has us going
9 - Jonah Williams-T/G Alabama 6'4 302
40 - Jaylon Ferguson-DE LA Tech 6'5 271
74 - Joejuan Williams-CB Vanderbilt 6'4 211
I know people would be underwhelmed but I'd sign up for that right now

Wow...MLB that high? I don't share that opinion. I actually think that falls rather low on the list. I mean, in recent years, the Bills have gotten solid MLB play from mid-round picks like Preston Brown, street FAs like Zach Brown, and former UDFAs like Julian Stanford (who, IMO, looked every bit as good as Edmunds in spot duty last year).
I'd say it looks more like this:
QB
Pass rusher
CB
WR
LT
C
Everything else that's not STs
STs
I'm fine with DE/LT/CB/MLB all being on an even playing field. I was just trying to put myself in how Beane/McDermott think.

3 years in a major football program, a lack of production, and still very raw? That’s a big red flag for me.
I think our coaching staff would look at him be and like, 'WE CAN WORK WITH THIS!"

Rashan Gary or T.J. Hockenson
I'm guessing 90% of the board would be fine with Hockenson at #9 then
