  1. I think this actually only leaves Indy at 3 to trade with.  Browns take Darnold, Giants take Barkley, and then the Browns cannot pass up on Fitzpatrick or James at 4.  Only question is does Indy what Chubb that bad or are they willing to gather up more picks and speed up th3 building of their D.

Everything Beane has done is meaningless until he engineers a move into the top 5

    lets wait and see...

he could still fail, and the bills end up with the bust Lamar Jackson at 12

Or the guy they move up for can be a bust as well.

And be a member for at least 30 or 60 days to even reply to a post.  And maybe 6 month membership and 100 replies before starting a new thread.

Anything to clean this mess up.  I followed this forum for a couple years before I decided to make an account and post anything on here.  It used to be so crisp and clean and easy to find things.  Now people just start a thread filled with nonsense.

I agree, thats why I'm shocked that Baker's height gets brought up way more than Allen's accuracy.

Without doing any research I would imagine shorter qbs overcome their height disadvantage more so than a qb with accuracy issues does at the NFL level.

I get it ZS, but to me if you want to endear yourself to the coming fanbase and to GM's it's good to get out there and show your pluck. I can tell you Mayfield was amazing in those accuracy drills.

Ok I understand where you're coming from on that.  You're absolutely right about Mayfield, he was light out during that portion.  Personally Mayfield is the QB I want to see the Bills draft.

Luck didn't have to throw if I recall.  What he did up until then had made him the clear pick.

Darnold is the number 1 in this class too.  Him not throwing at the combine is not an unusual thing.  There are a ton of guys who didn't throw at the combine and it never hurt there draft stock.  I think his decision was clearly a business decision and in no way reflects his character as an earlier poster had stated.

He also had something to lose with no showing. Poor choice by the one guy I want no part of in this draft.

Andrew Luck didn't throw at the combine.  Didn't seem to effect his draft status at all.  Darnold like Luck is the number 1 qb prospect in this class.

Speaks to me of his character. You throw the damn ball for a living, so why not just go out and show everybody you can.

I disagree, I think this was purely a business decision.  Making great throws isn't going to increase his draft stock but making poor throws or showing poor mechanics could definitely hurt his draft stock.

It's easy to blast Josh Allen for not putting up huge totals but as i stated before in a few other Josh Allen threads, some might look at his totals as a miracle that he was even able to produce those numbers with the talentless team he had around him, someone will need to check for sure but I read in an article about Allen that he will not have 1 offensive teammate drafted, not 1, no OL/TE or WR. again someone will have to check for sure but if that's the case he was pretty darn good. You could see flashes of greatness at the Senior Bowl with throwing to guys who actually know how to catch the football, he made several very accurate "NFL" types of throws.

Last year a running back and center were drafted from his team.  Carson Wentz only had 2 tackles drafted from his team's in his entire college career and Wentz completion percentage was way better.  The big thing with Josh Allen is accuracy rarely improves and the next level and he has accuracy issues.

I would rather use next year's picks in some way so that we retain a 2nd this year, but, yes, I've been thinking that this may be Beane's plan...trying to keep 22 while moving up.

I think teams are going to want next year's first over 22 this year.  They are going to bank on the Bills being worse next year.

The scenario is the Bills trade up to #1 ASAP. Once there let the league know that your plan is to draft Barkley and that you're willing to trade him for the best offer. Similar to what the Chargers did in the Eli/Rivers trade.

It would, hopefully, allow you to control the rest of the first round and recoup some of the picks made to move up.

It will cost you more to get up there then you will ever recoup from a Barkley trade.  The NFL is not Madden where you can force trades. C'mon man.

Separating the QB's from completion percentage and TD's to INT's:

Baker Mayfield is the best followed by Luke Falk then Sam Darnold.  Luke Falk is might be the surprise of this draft!

Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Josh Rosen have not so good completion percentages, especially the first two mentioned.

So called second tier QB's Falk, White, Rudolph look good!  Yes, systems do play a part along with schedule.  With that said, only White played against lesser competion

Completion percentage is a huge part of determining success at the next level.  However, you have to take into consideration certain factors like dropped passes for example.  Both Jackson and Rosen had a ton of dropped passes for them.  Like you said systems play a huge part in college QBs sucessfulness.  Bottom line is if it were as simple as looking at completion percentages, tds, and picks then there would never be a bust in the NFL.  It's just not that simple and so many more factors go into scouting QBs.
