A first round pick was steep!
The falcons traded a 2nd for a backup TE today

Decent signing. Probably an upgrade over Shaq. But we desperately need some youth at the position. Rd 2 I guess.

If the Hopkins trade didn't happen today id be wayyyyy more excited

A few years ago he would have got paid twice that after the season he just had. Nice to see the market for RBs starting to adjust a bit.
There is no RB in the league worth more than $6mm a year. They are usually only elite for a few years max and are so easily replaceable.

This would make a lot of sense. I'm all for filling the needs at LB and CB with vets and using the draft to get some young studs for the d line and offensive skill positions.
-
Given the history of buffalo sports teams, I'm just hoping I'm still above ground when they get their.
-
The last thing this offense needs is more average players, which Olsen is at best as this point in his career. . Bring in playmakers or don't bother.

LOL did you see where someone followed up the Falcons tweet on the subject asking "source?" to which the guy running the Falcons twitter account responds "literally us - The Falcons"
Copied the blue Jays who did it a year ago

One of the sickest sports betting beats I've ever seen. This is hilarious.

It's hard to believe this is true but if it is it's got to be one of the worst sports bets ever. I don't know what true odds are but the payout would certainly be over $1mm

Not sure why anyone would hate on barstool. They are a great follow, and actually give the bills and bills mafia lots of love.

Frank Gore had a better year too. That says alot. The chiefs have needed their best players on the field the last 2 weeks, and Reid hasnt had him touch the football once, and only played 1 snap.
McCoy has clearly lost a step and is not even close to the player he was in his prime. With that said, there is absolutely no doubt he would have been a better option than gore this year. It's simply impossible for an NFL RB to be less effective than gore was the second half of the year.
The move was about money, and gore being more of a process guy.

interesting that Hayward disputes that he did this on purpose. It seems though like he almost had to do it on purpose, otherwise it’s the worst lane violation in NBA history.
It definitely looks intentional. Respect either way I guess, either for doing it or admitting that he didn't.

ESPN is showing Kobe’s final game right now
still doesn’t feel real
I caught the 4th quarter. Never saw the game before. Holy **** what a perfect way to end his career. He was so clutch the last five minutes, leading the comeback.
Every time they show his family though it's like a punch in the gut.
Also this is one of the coolest things you'll ever see in sports.

Y’all, I’m really struggling with this. Kobe was never my guy but the tragic nature of it all has me in a weird place. I cried today (keep in mind I cry a lot). I just can’t wrap my head around it and for an empathetic, analytical person that’s really hard. I’m not capable of shrugging my shoulders and saying, “such is life.” Today is horrible
It is a pretty surreal and wierd feeling. I woke up this morning and watched a clip of LeBron talking for five minutes last night about what it meant to pass him in points and what Kobe meant to him. A couple hours later start seeing tweets that he's dead.

Man, it’s tough even trying to watch the pro bowl right now. All the announcers keep getting choked up and it keeps making me get all choked up again.
Yea was tough to watch booger and joe get choked up and have to stop talking about it. They pulled it together real quick too, props to them.

It just came out litterally minutes ago. I can't imagine any of them knew. They'll find out the same way we did. Difference is, they're playing on a football field at the moment
Michael Thomas tweeted about it 15 minutes ago.. they know.

Michael Thomas already tweeted about it. I'm sure the news spread among the players like wildfire. They all must know.

Not that it really matters, but I wonder if this will spread to the pro bowl players as the game goes on
I would assume they already know. Aren't they allowed to have phones on the sideline during the pro bowl? I could be making that up.

Insane timing with Lebron passing him last night. He even had “mamba for life” written on his shoes
Watched this clip literally two hours ago. This is nuts. Doesn't seem real.
