I'll say it again to the cry-babies:

Tom Brady was the 199th pick in the 2000 draft. He sat the bench year 1 behind Drew Bledsoe. He was also injured and missed the 2008 season. He's been a starter for 16 NFL seasons. He's been in the super bowl 8 of those 16 seasons. His team has been behind by 10 or more points in the 4th qtr 7 times. The Patriots are 3-4 in those games. The rest of the NFL is 3-70 in those games. His main weapon Rob Gronkowski was out of yesterdays game. Julian Edelman has been out for the season. Yet again with a cast of no-name receivers he was 26 of 38 and 2 touchdowns. He's not a jerk either. Seems a nice guy, and very smart. Yea, he married a Victoria's secret super model but wouldnt you if you were Tom Brady ? You can hate the Patriots (and I do) but you just cannot ignore the greatness that is Tom Brady. Rather than root for him to be injured (like the poorly parented fans at TBD do), just enjoy the show. When your grand-child asks you what was Tom Brady like ? Will you say he was the best ever? Will you say he sucked but the refs made his career ? I wont. I'll tell that kid I was proud to watch the best QB ever in the history of the National Football League. For the 2 or 3 years this 40 year old man has left in his career I will admire his excellence and you should too. There will never be another like him. Rant over.

Sadly I agree with this.....the man is good - beyond good even - BUT he is a liar.  Never forget that, an EPIC liar.  I know deflategate was pure utter rubbish but his responses were why he got 4 games.....the man flat out bald faced lied.  AND everyone in the room knew it.......hence the 4 games.

It’s not a conspiracy in the sense that there’s a coordinated effort to tilt the field toward the Pats. It’s more like how top NBA athletes get calls that lower profile guys don’t, and are called for fouls at a much lower rate. The difference is that it’s their entire team getting the benefit of the doubt, and often in situations that swing the balance of the game in their favor.

Agree 100%.....yesterdays game was called pretty much even as in the penalties that needed to be called were - face it - Billacheat DRILLS into his players heads to not get penalized.  McCoach is trying to do the same and it is paying off......now if Hughes could understand that.....oh well I digress.....

I expect McCoy to have a huge year next season and earn every penny of that cap hit.

Brian Daboll has consistently improved the running game wherever he's been, and in many cases he drastically improved it. Yards per attempt has historically shot up under him, as has total rushing yards, rushing TDs (etc).

Plus, we know the Bills O line is good with a power run scheme and that's what Daboll primarily runs.

    THIS!

Why caan't they restructure? Like it or not, Shady is declining.

And I know, it is true he was 30%+ of the offense, but that was just over 1100 yards. It's only 30% because we have no passing attack at all.

You are right it was from 2016, and my number was head of household... Either way 31099 would make my point just the same.

To be fair I don't think Shady is crying about it, but he knows the value isn't there and thats why he addressed the spotrac post.

Perhaps. Perhaos not. He did get contacted by the D early and often, but Dennison didn't make him reverse course 1, 2, or 3 times on one play. Oline and/or dennison can be blamed for the 1-3 yard losses, but those 5+ yard losses are on Shady. He needs to realize he is no longer the fastest or most sudden player on the field and take the yards he can get on broken plays.

TOTALLY do not agree with this - those 2-3 extra cuts was Shady running for his life as the O-Line collapsed around him allowing not one but multiple defenders to get to him.  Yeah he was tackled for more losses than we like but sheesh he ran for more yards than MANY other RB's.  Try to keep things in perspective here.

I enjoy it when so much work goes behind what constitutes an obvious list of knee-jerk decisions. Charles Clay not on this roster costs exactly the same amount as he does, so why would we create a hole for zero cap savings.

    F-, see me after class.

Well put......dude was into his cups when making this list up!  That being said there were some names I didn't even know if there!!!  Cap Capi?!?!?

Yes.  There are a million punters out there cheaper and better.

    DUDE!!!  Put.  Down.  The.   Pipe!!!!!

Good lord man - if there were 30 out there better and cheaper they would be on a roster......this ain't RB's we are talking about here man, these guys are NOT a dime a dozen by any stretch.  One game bad game makes me mad but to let him go over essentially 2 bad punts in crummy weather conditions??  Come on!

Just for arguments sake - name 10 better cheaper punters out there - OK 10 is proally too many - how about 5??  2????  No where near you million by any stretch.

Unclear a bit what you mean.  Do you mean Taylor is the sole, or the largest factor?  I don't think I'm a die-hard TT fan, I see his limitations and flaws, but I don't agree.

Was TT a big part of the loss?  Yes.

Was he the sole factor that cost them the game?  No.  The WR/TE made mistakes (batting a pass up, penalties, stepping OOB before a catch) and dropped a number of catchable balls.  When Romo is sitting in the booth saying "that was actually a good throw by Taylor, he's got to catch that" and when the couch duffers like myself can see other WR pulling in far higher degree of difficulty balls - it's not just on the QB.

Then there's the play calling.  I may actually see if I can get a trial and look at all 22 on this one though I've become quite...Hapless about coach's film the last 3 years and probably someone else will do good deep-dive assessments.

As you said, the D showed up, McCoy showed up - I will add, the OL showed up for the most part - Taylor and the WR did not.  And I'm not clear that Dennison can show up.

In my opinion - Tyrod cost them the game, between the simply STOOPID idea to throw on 1st and Goal from the 1 and the number of over throws, THAT is what contributed mightily to the Bills inability to take control of the game.  Pretty much all season long he did the same.  Dennison also shares a significant part of the blame but he isn't throwing the ball.

Both need to start fresh anew somewhere else next year......

Definitely need much better special teams all around. It seemed like we didn't even attempt blocks on every punt yesterday. Our return game is poor. Punting was ok to poor. Coverage is ok for the most part at least I think.

Punting did kinda blow for sure.....returns are a product of where the field position was - most of the punts by JAX were High and to the sideline nicely - hard to generate a return when the punter is doing well.  That said Tate didn't really set the world on fire with this returns this year at all.

Personal rant:  I would let every kick roll out of the end zone if possible.  There is NO ONE on the Bills who can get more than 15 or so yards and if they were they seem to always have the block in the back penalty calling it back......

yes rick dennison's playcalling can flat out suck.

but a good QB will make a play more often than not.

tyrod just isnt a good enough QB to cover for dennison's weaknesses.

    Answer???

Move on from both......let Tyrod go to another team and frustrate the hell outa their fan base and let Dennison go to another team and coach the RB's....or whatever.

They have set themselves up for a big offseason with cap space and draft picks. I expect them to build a roster with playoff level talent and find a QB this offseason.

Agree 110% yet again today......the Bills HAVE set themselves up to have some good chances in the draft - but lets face it the draft is hit and miss. What is really going to set the tone is how well they attack the free agency market.  They need more Hyde's and Poyer's but in different positions......Bill's Mafia repped us well in the National Media - should pave the way for possible free agents.....

McD is going to watch that game film at least 20 times this week. Their is no way he walks out of that film room feeling good about Taylor.

Agree 110% - there is NO WAY he can leave that room saying - yeah this is my guy - especially after putting in Peterman for the LA game.  McD don't have the Tyrod love some of you folks here do.  For the love of all you call holy HOW can you support a QB who went pass first on 1st and goal from the 1 yard line.

Also - Dennison NEEDS to go.......NEEDS to go!

  12. Well said - I believe even the most die hard Tyrod fan has to admit - just HAS to admit he cost them the game - just too many passes sailed over the heads of our D3 Wideouts.  Holy crap Jordan Matthews?!?!?  Where art tho Zay Jones???  And don't even get me started on KB - more than likely he is hurt and playing hurt - I ma hoping for more from him next year.  This in my opinion was similar to the Cincy loss in the playoffs waaaaaaaaay back in 88.  Sadly the talent level is NO WHERE near that team.

The D impressed me - as succinctly stated above they played over their heads today.

Was a bummer to see them lose but really I wasn't surprised at the score nor the result.  It is time for Tyrod and Dennison to part ways....adios, nice knowing you.  I firmly believe that Sean can coach up whatever BB delivers to him.  Should be an interesting off season, some heads will roll - some peeps will go and some new faces will arrive.  The secondary was lights out this year.

Sadly the D and Shady were the only ones to show up today.

If McDermott were to call me and ask my advice (which he's never done before)

    I'd tell him this..............

Don't start Shady tomorrow. Don't even have him on the sideline at the beginning of the game.

Make the Jagwires wonder if he can play........

Use Tolbert to run straight up the middle, over and over again.

Then, at the start of the second quarter, have Shady enter the stadium in dramatic fashion, like Willis Reed did.

Bring him into the game immediately, and have Tyrod throw some screens to him in the open field.

The Jagwires will be demoralized and confused..........Shady will make them pay...........

That my friends is how you win Championships !

But then, McDermott has a history of doing things his own way. Oh well..............

Interesting but dunno I would do that......maybe have him stand on the sideline for the first series and then put him in but basically any plays he misses are potential plays he could have done something......I say start him and let him run wild.....
