  1. Russ Brandon was the reason I stopped my season tixs.......he wasn't serious about putting a decent product on the field, I wasn't happy spending big bucks for my Kelly Club seats that kept escalating upwards......frankly I am surprised he even hit 20%......he was flat out awful.  I always felt bad for Marv, he shoulda stayed home.  Russ?  I was NOT a fan of the man at all.....

Groy has more "SOLID experience and DEMONSTRATED results" than 2 Pro Bowl LGs (Ruben Brown, Richie Incognito) or a future HOF LT (Jason Peters) or one of the NFL's solid starting LTs (Cordy Glenn)?  Really?   Or were you referring to Langston Walker and/or Bennie Anderson?  Walker was a starting OT for 4 of his 9 NFL seasons with Oakland and the Bills.  Bennie Anderson was a five year NFL starter with Baltimore and the Bills.

Groy's "SOLID experience and DEMONSTRATED results" consists of playing in 41 games over 4 seasons, starting 11 of them.  He started 7 games in 2016 and 1 game in 2017 for the Bills because Wood was injured.  He's a backup who hasn't demonstrated that he can be a full time quality starter.

We can agree to disagree then......8 starts and he played very well isn't like some journeyman player coming in and trying to take over a position.  The guy has been here on the roster and knows the team well - did I SAY he was better that Brown or Richie?  No.  Did I say he was better than Peters?  No.  Did I say he was better than Glenn?  No.  Don't put words in my mouth so you can make your case.  I NEVER said he was better than any of those players - I just agreed with the OP that the Bills have a Center in house and they don't need to waste a high pick on a C/G when they have other more pressing needs.  Do the Bills need to draft another Dion?  You betcha they do.  BUT they have a perfectly serviceable player ON the roster now.

Your reading comprehension needs some work - don't tell me I said something I didn't.....read, think, then type.  Obviously you do not agree with my thoughts nor the OP's, your choice, just don't tell me I said crap that I CLEARLY didn't.

Sorry, but I've heard this kind of thing so often over the years when the Bills replace a starter with a backup, especially on the OL, that I am exceedingly skeptical.  Bennie "The Penalty" Anderson wasn't an adequate replacement for Pro Bowl LG Ruben Brown and Langston Walker and numerous other Never-Weres weren't replacements for All Pro LT Jason Peters.  The Bills wasted about 4 years before they got around to replacing Brown, and another 3 or 4 years before they replaced Peters.

I hope Groy is a decent replacement for Wood but I'm not pinning my hopes on him.  The Bills need to draft a center on Day 1 or Day 2 and then add a  guard on Day 2 or Day 3. If this regime is committed to winning football games, then there can be no excuses for not bringing in some quality young OLers through the draft and keeping the good OLers they already have, ie Incognito, Glenn, and Dawkins.

Dude - seriously?  Did you not read or did you not comprehend the OP's post???  You confuse me.  None of the names you mention had anywhere near the SOLID experience and DEMONSTRATED results that Groy has.  Sorry for yelling but WTF!

Seems like half the mock drafts now are projecting us to take a center.    We already have a great backup center in Groy.

    • Did not allow a sack all season in 2016 from 291 pass-blocking snaps.
    • He started the final seven games of the season for us when Wood got hurt in 2016.  Played very well, especially in the final two games of the season against tough defensive lines of Jets and Fins.
    • Didn’t allow a sack all season, and surrendered just nine total pressures – seven across those final seven games.
    • 6'5 inches and 325 lbs.   27 years old but not a lot of miles on him.  Smart guy.

After being thrown into the fire — and not performing all too well — in that crazy Seahawks game that we would have won if we had an average kicker, Groy was a solid in both pass and run.

His strong play down the stretch was why we matched the two-year, $5 million offer from the Rams.

    He will kickass in there.

THIS - this is what I been saying ALL along - we have our center on the team already.  People soon forget what we have.  Not the leader Woods was but we have an awesome center here already.

I don’t have an “obvious dislike towards Philly”. I was simply exaggerating a fact. I thought that would be easy to catch but apparently not. When we win a Super Bowl I will be out lighting every car on fire that I see (not literally please don’t freak out)

LOL - I will be next to you holding the matches.....no not freaking out at all......sorry for not catching your sarcasm.....it is late, I won my pool for some decent $$, I am in my cups AND I am from Philly but a HUGE Bills fan but so so so happy the Eagles won....no worries...again - sorry for missing the obvious sarcasm.

I really wanted both teams to lose. The philly fan base couldn't be more trashy. I really can't stand any philly fan besides the one that was at our party. Still had a hard time  cheering  for that team.  This superbowl was one of the worst match ups ever. At least the pats**** lost

Seriously how can you call that game the worst match up ever???  Did you watch the game at all??

Really? Get a life? You do know the fans are there lighting fires and flipping over cars right? Obviously the city isn’t burning to the ground, Jesus are you guys !@#$ing retarded?

Nice to see you realize the city isn't burning to the ground......holy crap - can you even begin to imagine what would happen in Buffalo should they ever win a SB?  Bills Mafia will be jumping thru more than just tables at that point.  Take a chill pill and realize what just happened - I realize you have an obvious dislike towards Philly but be real here - put yourself in their shoes......I been a 22 year season tix holder and been to more than my share of tailgates events like every freaking sundee for 22 years - Buffalo would be doing the same and more.  I would not expect less.....
