I'm perplexed at all the Daquan haters... have you not watched the tape? He's been an absolute beast when he's on the field. Seems we got him at a reasonable cost and for the right length of time. This is a good signing.

I think it’s people with shiny new toy syndrome. They just want a different name regardless who it is

We are getting Josh cheap. He's a true team guy
Not for long. I’d imagine he’ll get a new contract rather soon like next offseason.

Well we need a few more so we can sign Ridley.
It could be closer to 7 or 8 I’m just being a little conservative cause the number is usually lower than we think. I’m not holding out hope for Ridley unless he wants to sign cheap. I think it’s going to be all guys under the comp pick threshold now.

Where we at boys?
Just a quick guess with Lewis/Epenesa… 5ish mil under

Probably still right around 0 after Epenesa and Lewis

This one hurts - Floyd was a beast. 10 sacks? or more? Anyway, he will be missed. We are losing a lot of good players!
Floyd
Morse.
Davis. (Hurts more than people know).
Poyer/Hyde combine as 1 for me.
Hope Beane has a plan and acts fast. If you think the draft is gonna hit on filling these spots you are on glue.
lol I’ll argue our offense was more efficient without Davis in the lineup. Won’t miss him at all

Too many “free agency” threads going

The only cut player I’m slightly concerned about is Morse. All the other ones don’t really move the needle for me at all

With Harty released and now Gabe signing with the Jags, what is the strategy/approach for WR? Are we going dumpster diving in Free Agency and then hoping we hit in the draft at WR?
Our current roster is Diggs, Shakir, Sherfield and Shorter (inactive all season). Currently not scaring anyone and probably in the bottom 10 as a WR group.
Anyone else uncomfortable? That’s a lot of pressure to hit on WR that is impactful in the draft! Do we trade up?
Thoughts or perspective on Beane’s approach?
Going to have to draft probably. Going to be hard to get a good one in free agency with no money

I'd hate it more of the Bills secondary depth wasn't a complete nightmare at the moment.
Well when you’re in salary cap hell this is what happens

Any word on actual cap savings for this year?
4-6 million it’s looking like. Probably more in the 6 range

Obviously they feel like VanDemark can be the guy going forward for much less money. Hopefully it works out.

Silly to even think about. He’ll be long gone

He’d be a great option to pair with Diggs

Good one year rental maybe for them. He’ll want too much money for what he’s worth

Noah Brown or Josh Reynolds would be nice along with a 1st or 2nd round pick WR. Would really elevate our WR group.
Bills Cap Status - Approx $4.25 under cap 4/03/2024 (added roster change summary)
