This team has a history of making bad and player friendly contracts (Williams and Darues). I thought maybe they turned to corner with the way TT contracts have been handled.

However, the Eric Wood extension comes. As much as I like Wood I didnt like the extension because of his age and fit with the offense type we were trying to build last year. However with his neck and retirement more issues come to mind.

    1.  How is a degenerative issue missed in the last couple exit physicals? (Doubt it was).

    2.  So if it wasnt how are you going to give guarantees in out years of a contract when essentially the players health at that point is year to year?

This is all kind of stupid

Does our first 1st round pick actually have more value to other teams than our 2nd first round pick? I realize the draft points trade chart assigns it more value, but does it have more practical value to the other team unless they believe we will trade both picks, or the trade partner believes we want the same player as them. In a trade down situation, unless we believe the trade  partner wants the exact same player as we do, why would we not trade our first pick, rather than our 2nd,  and get 20 extra points?

I have begun to think that if Mayfield does not magically drop, maybe we should trade down to get a QB. I just can't see using a 21 or 22 pick on the likes of a Rudolph , Jackson, Lauletta. White or others. The top 3 are out of reach. If you really want one of the non top 4  that badly,  it seems you could assuredly get them with a very late 1 or an early 2 and get some badly needed extra picks to fill out our many critical needs on offense and defense. Would NFL teams really put much value on the difference between our two picks when they are one after the other?

There has been plenty of talk about the Bills trading up and trading down in the 2018 NFL Draft.  It's that time of year, where the intrigue and speculation  of what teams might be thinking come draft day.  The excitement this year is ramped up even more with the multiple 1st & 2nd round picks.  I thought it'd be helpful to run down the full list of the Bills draft picks and the value each one holds according to multiple draft charts.  This way as a fan when you're envisioning different trade up or trade down scenarios you can have an idea of what it'll take to execute those trades.  The first value listed is from the infamous Jimmy Johnson trade value chart, the second one is a more updated version since the last CBA which may be a bit more accurate:

    #21 (800, 260.8)

    #22 (780, 252.7)

    #53 (370, 106.3)

    #56 (340, 98.3)

    #95 (120, 40.3)

I'll fill in the 4th round and later picks after compensatory picks have been handed out.

For the record I'm all for flipping one of those 1st round picks for a 2018 2nd & 3rd plus a mid round 2019 draft pick.  My dream scenario is heading into day 2 of the NFL draft with three 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks.  You can find a lot of talent in that area

I’ll take the better odds.. stay at 21,22 and pick

I like your draft, however with the #22 pick I would take QB Mason Rudolph. I think he has all the tools and played in a Pro-style Offense. I also think we need a burner at WR to stretch the field at some point in the draft

Oklahoma State offense is the furthest thing from pro-style you can get.

I think our last pick in the 2nd will be a QB.

I also think we trade pick 21 for an early 2nd, a 3rd round comp pick and a 3rd in 2019 draft.

Draft Harrison Phillips at 22. That leaves Bills with three 2nd round picks and two 3rd round picks.

I’d be willing to wager anything that won’t happen

based on this it is either KB or Glenn.  I don't think Glenn would be press conference worthy or big news for fantasy football.  has to be Kelvin Benjamin.  we lose our #1 receiver, the 3rd round pick to get him, plus his 5th year option has already been picked up

I tend to feel bad for the player and his family.. Not the salary cap implications

What’s interesting to me is how many people are showing up here with “Here is What’s Happening - Respect My Authoritah!” types of posts these days.

As long as I’ve been here, there have always been dribs and drabs of inside information that have proven correct, but never so many showing up like manic street preachers insisting they have the word and the truth.

The increase in “insiders” this year, is it a function of the BBMB shutdown? Or something else?

    Welcome to the new BBMB
