  1. Shula? Belichick? I don’t know who is the greatest, but Shula was a class act! I can’t have the respect for BB that I do for Shula.

Belichick is a great defensive coach, great at scheming for an opposing offense! Really good at changing or adapting in game! Setting a culture too. But, I feel that Brady was really the offensive genius the last 20 years

TE is the only question now - and if Knox can just get rid of the drops he can join the list of plus-players on this team!  Hopefully someone bought him a jugs machine for his house!

Hope your right! If he improves that and pass blocking, it will be a big plus for this offense. He is going to be open A LOT!

He is currently an unrestricted free agent, giving him time to work on his boating and drag racing hobbies while practicing proper social distancing.

Being serious for a moment, he did a lot of good in Haiti with his money...he had a lot of tragedy in his life (ESPN would have filled up two draft slides for him) and a lot of mental anguish...wish him the best.

I certainly don’t have any hatred toward Dareus. It’s really a shame that he couldn’t find the discipline to get all of the incredible talent he has on the field consistently!! How things went after that knuckle head Whaley signed him to that huge franchise money really soured him to a lot of fans!! I did at one time think highly of Whaley because he did bring in talent but without the character and team culture you are really rolling the dice. Good luck to him!

  4. Hard to pick just one! I became a fan in 1985 so from the 80’s and 90’s it would probably be Thurman and Bruce. Great all around players.

The last 20 years it definitely would be Fred and Kyle!! Both class men on and off the field. So is Lorenzo! Loved watching them play!!

The one player who always just left me shaking my head was Tasker. Seemed like just a common, ordinary person physically but he just dominated on ST!!

I'm just playing "agent"/devils advocate.  Wouldn't these players contracts make him want to at least be in that same area?  Van Noy rushes the passer a bit more, but he could theoretically fall in the so called 3-down LBer role.

I mean - he had a really positive rookie year i thought.  His numbers aren't insane but again... he was a rookie.  I'm hopeful for a good jump in year 2.

He did have a good rookie year and got better as the season went. So I’m hopeful too. Guess I’m just a prove it kind of person. Yeah being he was the 9th pick we should hope he becomes special.

Where does Milano compare to Deion Jones and Shaq Thompson?  They both got north of 13 million AAV.  Same with Kwon Alexander.

Could see Milano getting 10 mil per year but that’s all. He is excellent in coverage and a decent tackler for his size! He really hasn’t had many game changing plays like say White has. A pick, forced fumble or timely sack. Given he is a minimalist,  Maybe he will sign for 8 mil !!?

This is a bit hard as a couple are already paid in reality but will list him anyway, the 6-8 I would pay are:

    1. Josh Allen (Eventually, 2022).

    2.  Stefon Diggs (already above 10M)

    3. Mitch Morse (Already abov 10M)

    4. Dion Dawkins (This year)

    5. Ed Oliver (2023)

    6. Tremaine Edmunds (2022)

    7. Matt Milano (this year) (though I think he doesn't make 10M a year when it is done)

    8. Tre White - (Next year)

There is you immediate Core IMO  The Issue it which one falls off to pay your DE.  I think that would be a combination of Hughes and Murphys pay (to pay the new Core DE) and the other DE would be the middle class NFL player

I like your group except I’m not sold that Oliver will be that dominate to get top end pay. I think he will be good but maybe not deserving of top money.

Beane commented on paying players top money and how it can divide a locker room when a player that isn’t that good or not respected has a bloated contract! It would be interesting to see some of his criteria for top money! Character is certainly one along with leadership and teammates respect! I would say that White, Edmunds, Allen and probably Morse are high on that list. Now let’s see if Diggs ends up there as well?

His legit speed is special making him special. Much like Kenny Davis, you get him past the LOS, he can take it to the house. I’d be happy if he became a Bill, where ever we could get him.

Absolutely! Wasn’t wowed necessarily at first. You can see his strength, balance and how he uses his blockers but when he got to second level, no one caught him! Does remind me A LOT of Kenny Davis!

That's correct.  Last season was a "let's see if we can show we belong in the playoffs" year...this season the expectations are beyond that, regardless of what people are saying about a "tougher schedule."  When the opponents are announced how many of those teams look at Buffalo on their schedule and think, "good, an easy game?"

It's time for Bills fans to stop thinking the Bills are a doormat.  Other teams don't want to play us.

I think you’re right as far as the Bills defense. No team thinks they are an easy win, but not true offensively! Not yet anyway! I still think that the Bills will garner more attention as far as an up coming opponent! Diggs and the continued development of Josh and even Knox, will help that. Plus being a playoff team last year.

I guess not thinking of the Bills as a dormant is a hard habit to break! Especially one that has lasted for nearly two decades!

Only one of the three improved his play last season -- despite the fact that one of them was gifted a great QB guru and soothsayer as his HC and one of them was gifted his OC as his HC.

Only one of the three has been to the playoffs.

Allen got better last year.  Significantly.  His deep ball accuracy was horrible but he improved dramatically in the short and intermediate range game.  His accuracy and QB rating at that level was very good.  He was one of the best red zone QBs in the league.  And guess what he's working on this offseason?  His deep ball.  Given the way this kid dedicates himself to improving his weaknesses if you don't expect him to be better this year you're still just clinging to your pre-draft assessment.

Agreed! The point about Brady made by the OP stands out. Brady was never a great deep baller but was great at the short and intermediate game! You can’t be a great Qb in this league and have it the other way around!!! Josh really improved  last season where he absolutely needed to!!! Is he great yet? No. Needs to improve accuracy but not as much as some believe. Every Qb has some bad throws in a given game! He also made some ridiculous completions that very few others can!

To me he proved that he is worth being our franchise Qb going forward!! And I have no doubts at all that he will be great!!

  11. Not everything will be the same this season. Strength of schedule and opponents will not be looking past them now! Does make some difference! But the addition of Diggs, Josh’s development and the same coaches and system should really help! Could be a really exciting season! Allen is special!!

Did they ever do a screen pass last year?

Singletary is not a natural at catching the short pass.

He is not a big danger to get a big chunk if he catches the ball 3 yards past the LOS and takes off.

He scares NOBODY if he flexes out as an additional wide receiver.

He does not have elite speed to beat linebackers around the corner.

Fans may not agree with this, because the Bills did not run too many of these plays.   We lost offensive production because of this.

He is good as a shifty smart between the tackles, but is not big enough to push people aside or backwards near the goal line.

He had TWO Touchdowns last year.   (Bean is quoted as saying that he wants "touchdown makers")

We need to fill in those holes and there are 5 RB's in the draft who are good quality and can do that. There are also a good second tier who can compliment.

IMO he is a more dangerous weapon than you make him seem. But not much! His touchdown number is concerning for sure and should have been higher. Motor just isn’t a threat running the ball in goal line situations.

  13. It should help Tre and other Bills players if we do in fact get more prime time games. Tre had that pick n the Steelers game that should have helped him and he played well against Dallas too! The Dallas game was a big one for Josh Allen! As far as fan recognition goes!

They just have to keep winning and the rest will take care of itself!

I wouldn’t listen to much of what Ramsey says and I think Tre is smart enough not to as well!!

Gilmore? He had trouble with John Brown, Diggs is gonna hand him his azs.

    Go Bills!!!

John Brown is exactly the type that Gilmore struggles with. Same when he played for us. I honestly have not watched Diggs all that much but I do think that amount of  chemistry he has with Josh will matter just as much! If he and Diggs can put it together like he did with Smoke then watch out. This offense will be dynamic and explosive!!! Who do you try and take away Brown or Diggs??
