Love the guy and love his game.
But this is not some panacea to cure all ills.
He's going to be less powerful and it's likely that it will be harder for him to hold the POA, to push the pocket, to hold guys off and move down the line and he's going to be available less as well.
The only reason he's playing is because he's probably just hitting the point where he can now be equally effective as Poona Ford and that is where the expectations should lie, imo.
That should slowly improve as the weeks pass but for right now, I can't expect too much out of him.
I just hope people don't turn on him like they have with other injured players that didn't meet fan's ill-informed unrealistic expectations.
That makes sense. But I think the main difference between his injury and Von and Tre's, other than missing the whole year, is mental.
There's something psychological about overcoming an ACL. It's in the back of your mind with every step whether or not your knees going to hold up. I think that's a crucial reason why it took Tre so long, and is taking Von so long to get back to moving explosively.
DaQuan has probably been doing lower body work to keep his strength up for sometime now. And hopefully won't suffer the same loss of explosion that we saw from Tre last year and Von this season either from a condition or mental standpoint.
It's definitely unrealistic to expect him to be right back to the top of his game. But he's early reps will tell the story of just how far he has to go. Fingers crossed!

If Ravens beat Miami they clinch #1 seed and Lamar and the starters will rest week 18 vs Steelers which means easy W for Pittsburgh. So basically if Bills don't win out they don't make the playoffs if I'm reading this right

They have a 96% chance of making the playoffs if they win one more game.

Is there a scenario where the Bills can lose a game and still make the playoffs now?
Like 6 or 8.

There is one scenario, where we finish with the same record as the Chiefs and the Jags, in which case we finish as the 3 seed through some weird tie breaker math
Unfortunately that is not the case. We cannot lose a game and win the division because the Fins already have 11 wins. And winning the Division is the only way to get a #3 seed.

Yes, lump, for sure. When the ball was thrown across the field, there was a moment of terror. Then, I thought, "don't be silly." Then, I saw the replay and realized it wasn't silly at all.
That was a pretty good play design. A better block on Benford and he might have had a lane down the sideline.

Basically if we win the division we will be the #2, right?
In that scenario we are 11-6 and the only other 11-6 division winner is the Chiefs where we have the H2H?
There is no scenario is there where we can be the #3?
Exactly, if we win the division we have to win both games. And even if the Chiefs win out, we have the tie breaker over them.
So winning the Division will make us the #2 seed.

Bills win, Seahawks over Steelers and a Bengals loss to Chiefs, I believe.
Also: Bills win and 1 of the Bengals or Steelers lose, combined with 2 losses from the Jags, Colts or Texans.

We only need JAX and 1 of PIT/CIN loss
JAX L with 8 wins and no matter what hou and Indy does it guarenteed the 2nd place team can’t get 10 wins. If Jags L and HOU and IND win then HOU/IND is for division title and 2nd place is under 10 wins.
The idea is only 1 other team can get to 10 wins other than BUF and CLE in WC spots.
in AFC west a 2nd place team will not have 10 wins. A 3rd place team in north can get to 10 wins
Actually, short of the Steelers and Bengals both losing a game, we need 1 loss by the Steelers or Bengals out of four games, combined with 1 loss by either the Jags or the winner of the Colts/Texans game (which would have to happen next week.)

I'm aware. But my point is, there is a chance both the Bengals and Steelers win next week. The Steelers play the Ravens week 18 with the Ravens possibly having the 1 seed locked up. Which means they would rest their starters against the Steelers and allows the Steelers a better shot of getting in over us if we lose to Miami. Same with the Bengals. If they beat the Chiefs, they play the Browns who may also be resting starters against them week 18. Both scenarios are bad for the Bills because if that happens, either one can knock us out of the Playoffs if we lose a game
The Bills could also lose out.

If the Ravens win tonight and next week against the Dolphins, they would he 13-4 and have the 1 seed locked up. They play the Steelers week 18. They would more than likely rest starters that game. If the Steelers beat the Seahawks this coming week, that would put the Steelers at 9-7 which means if we lose to Miami and the Steelers beat the Ravens, they would get the playoff spot over us. If the Ravens lose tonight and beat the Dolphins next week, they still don't obtain the 1 if the Browns win on Thursday night because the Browns would have a shot at the 1 seed and the division. The Ravens losing tonight still gives them something to play for week 18. If not, the lock up the 1 which is bad for us if we lose to Miami
We only need Cincinnati or the Steelers to lose one game if two of the Colts, Jag and Texans lose a game. And the Texans and Colts play each other.

Let’s hope Steelers and Bengals can both lose next weekend, so that possibility is off the table.Any loss by three of the Jags, Steelers, Bengals, Colts or Texans over the next two weeks guarantees a playoff spot with a single Bills win.
And since the Colts and Texans play each other, it's really two loses from eight games.

A 3 way tie between Buffalo, Kansas City and Baltimore gives the 1 seed to the Chiefs.
The 2 seed is the best the Bills can get. And we need the Ravens to beat the Dolphins to have a chance for the #2.

This is the team we need to beat the Bengals next week. Sheesh.
JWe don't need the Chiefs to beat the Bengals. If we only win 1 more game we're still 94% to make the playoffs.

I am afraid we watched completely different games.
The reason we didn't win going away was 3 turnovers, Josh missing two easy 3rd down throws and the OL having one total brain fart drive.
The Bills were well coached, had a good plan, and but for unforced errors by players would have won by miles.
Too many people are looking at the Chargers blowout loss last week like that's who they are. That was their worst moment.
They have 5 wins. And 6 losses by 3 points or less to Miami, Dallas, Detroit, Green Bay, Tenn and the Bills.
They've been competitive for the entire season, and Stick has played well.
I thought it was going to be tight early, and expected to see the Bills wake up in the second half and cruise to a 10-14 point W.
The 3 TO's gave them 13 of their 22 points... Self-inflicted yet again... But against a team fired up after major embarrassment who were close enough to potentially win 11 games up to this point in the season.

I don't think that's it. Five days rest vs eight days of rest this late in the season is a major equalizer.

68 wasn't lined up in an eligible position to go out for a pass.
Doesn't matter which one reports, the only way a lineman can catch a pass is if they're lined up in the TE, WR or RB position and they report.
The reason they are reporting is because they have a jersey # that isn't eligible to lineup in the TE, FB or WR spot.
The players lined up in the C, G or OT positions are never eligible to catch a pass.
