We're nine pages deep, so I'm certain it's already been said, but our "overhyping" of the Bengals is based on them absolutely owning us in the 5+ quarters we played against them last year. I'm not inclined to downplay the Bengals until we prove we can hang with them.
The Chiefs have owned us, the Ravens owned us , so did the Titans. We beat them all eventually.

Hard to be confident when they pushed the Bills around the last two times we saw them. They are on the upswing and the Bills are just barely treading water. This could get ugly come Sunday night, Buffalo really doesn't play well on prime time and the Bengals are in their heads.
Yawn....

Seems cool we got a vocal leader type. D needs that.

Bears trading for Sweat are they really going to sell? Strange move ...

He needs an extension before next season
Depends what price you pay.
But also not hard to craft something cap friendly with this to work from. Could easily work w a low base in year 1 and 2.
The notion he wants out and is asking out damages his value because he is basically saying he won't resign w his current team.
The bottom line is Tre is easily in unpredictable status for his future, Dane is a UFA, and Elam appears to be on the out.
We need a CB and it makes sense to add a good one.

Well Norman has been a pain several times.

He had 1200 all purpose yards and 6 TDs last year. 73 catches.
1300 and 10 TDs the year before.
Can give you 70 catches per year from the RB position.
Not and never has been a YPC guy.
Love the signing and love the timing and ease in on PS. Could be some meat for a playoff push. He's not washed.

We don't need Surtain ...just get a solid zone corner.

I actually don't mind the 2pt conversion there on the road. If you make it, you have a chance to win in regulation. I believe historically 2pt conversions are hitting around 48%.
Yeah so be bold and go for the 2 at the end. I think it's dumb.

I am really curious about our DL rotation. Von is working his way back, but Epenesa and Rousseau need to get more snaps at the expense of the likes of Floyd and Lawson. I know we lost Daquan, but Phillips is hot garbage to begin with before even the dumb decisions. I think it's affecting Oliver's play as well. Before the trade deadline can Beane & Co. see if there is a 1T available for a reasonable price that can clog the middle.
Tired of mediocre RB's gashing us for first downs. Mixon is not a mediocre running back.
Bills shut down the run. 78 yards and 40 of those yards were Mayfield flushed and the Godwin run. That's outstanding.
Von still looks off, though he had that flash on a couple downs tonight, including that amazing almost leg tackle where Mayfield made an amazing play.
Again, D line should have gotten 3-4 more sacks against a less tricky and slippery QB. Mayfield played uneven in the game but had some moments.

I still don't get why the Bucks went for two. Mind Baffling. Seemed idiotic.
-
BTW, d and pass rush was better than the stat line. A lot of "almost big plays".
Mayfield was pretty crazy in the pocket and got out of there or got rid of the ball in wild ways.

I agree 5-3 one game off. .... honestly have a good vibe with Cinci next week in a grudge match. Bills will be motivated.

I am going to take issue w Marino.
First , I caught the podcast and for an All 22 review it was missing more constructive breakdowns and specific critique.
On Allen: he did play lousy at times, but literally brilliant in other times. Marino tipped his hat that way, but I think putting the loss on JA was silly.
22 second half points while sputtering on a couple drives terribly ( cough Knox drop) was impressive. A near game winning drive in the final few minutes leaving under 2 minutes to play , w/ one of the worst offenses in the NFL needing to score a TD to win was woeful....dog poo stuff by this D.
I really wanted more All 22 breakdowns on what went wrong. Especially on that crap big gain on the last Pats drive, etc ..
His 22 breakdowns are not great. Half ass even. I know Marino is forced to condense but should be more than about snap counts.

What worries me most is the DTs.
-
This makes it even worse. Not only does Knox blow clutch catches and make waay too much money, now he's injured.
Beane royally ( not to be confused w Robert Royal) screwed this contract up. No viable out till 2025 20 million in dead cap even next year for a guy not over 50 catches. Makes me miss Robert Royal.

Some fantastic opinions today. Some of the worst takes in the history of this board.

I think no Big Ed and obviously Jones was huge. Ed has been a terror, getting pressure in the middle which turns into the ends getting sacks.
Also Dodson killed us. Was a noticeable difference without Dorian, I have no clue what happened to him but we need him. Kid is legit, no Milano but he's good
Also, Josh was throwing high or low on many passes, some were caught but the throw prevented any yac.
Big Ed has been a force this year, but I don't know if he helps anything yesterday. He's undersized and apt to get knocked back in run support . See Bungles game. Without Jones next to him he hasn't been the same.

Sherfield is a huge bust . Poona Ford a collosal disappointment.
-
Couldn't stick this in post game?
-
No replay?
-
Poona Ford being a dud is a real killer. We need a run stuffer. DL getting blown off ball by one of the worst OLs in league.

We don't match up well w Pats. We are gloriously undersized and soft up the middle. Could be a long day if offense can't match.

I never understood other team fans that come on here to chat. I don't get Bills fans going on other teams board to chat either. This almost never can or will come from a place of civility. It mostly ends up in trolling silliness.
