  1. The biggest test is the coach/GM miscalculated the QB situation which is most important so do they have the ability to rebuild the team the way modern football is played. It feels like they want to build a team for the 2,000’s. Win with Defense and low-risk offense. That’s not th way the game is played anymore. which means this rebuild could end up going for nothing.
  2. There’s just no excuse getting rid of good players who can accelerate your rebuild. We got our quarterback but we didn’t have to be this bad.
  3. The biggest problem you have with tearing down a roster and getting rid of good players is that by becoming so non-competitive, the players remaining get comfortable with losing and you breed a losing culture and undermine what you are trying to do in the first place. It seems all they care about is high character guys and not football players. You kind of need both. if McDermott and Beane aren’t careful, they won’t last long enough for the rebuild.
  4. I’m talking about the makeup of the roster, not today’s game.
  5. Losing him to Houston was a problem for us. Last year he was our director of pro personnel and he did a good job for McDermott finding some good veteran players. We miss that this year. Beane has not proven he knows how to judge pro talent.
  6. Lets see if they can close out this game. gonna take offense, defense, and ST to do it.
  7. On a nostalgic note, related to Talkin’ Proud, who can forget the Whacky Weenie promotion at the time. Another classic Bills moment! http://www.forgottenbuffalo.com/forgottenbflofeatures/whammyweenie.html
  8. I listen in Boston and part of it is whether or not you are using wireless, especially if you are on a public access point. Every time you use wireless go out of range and but jump off the network and then it jumps you back on, it thinks you are starting a new stream and it serves you a pre-roll commercial.
