It's asinine.  They could've gotten Watson with just one first round pick.  Now they're going to trade two for a QB who we know is WORSE?

Watson had a few good games.  RG3 had an outstanding rookie year, heck derek Anderson had a great year for Cleveland,  Remember Brock Osweiler 7 great games for the broncos.  people like shady wanted us to trade for him.  Watson had a few good games COusins has done it for four years.   You don't think the raiders regret giving carr 25 million

The point of going after Cousins is to avoid a QB crap shoot in the draft. Either we use two 1st round picks on a guy with less than a 50/50 shot to even be as good as Cousins, or we use two 1st round picks and a high salary to get a QB we know can lead a top 10 passing offense. The cost for Cousins is higher in salary than it is for a drafted QB but you're guaranteed a good QB for the next decade. That's the logic.

Thank you Happy.  We want a sure thing.  We know what we are getting with Cousins.  We don't need a Tim Couch

  3. If trade for Cousins or trade up for a QB, those two # 1s are gone  To trade with Cleveland it would cost us Both #1s this year, number 2 and # 1 next year and number 2.  Remember, Alex Smith is still in the mix.  Step up from Tyrod.  We are planning to be very active in the free agent market and want to target speedy WR.    OBD very unhappy with Zay Jones.  Scouting department had Ju Ju ranked higher but Whaley persuaded everyone to go with Jones because he was coached by former Bills assistant.

So I assume then that they're going to tag Cousins and trade him?  Because they can't trade him until after the start of the new league year, and they can't trade him unless he's under contract.

They also can't sign him to a new deal (that, say, Buffalo negotiated with him with Washington's permission) in order to trade him, since there's the chance that Buffalo would back out of the deal, plus there are cap ramifications resulting from trading a player with unpaid guarantees.

It would have to be a tag and trade.

    Exactly

I would walk away from that trade.  I wouldn't want anything to do with a trade that involved the #1s.

price of admission for a franchise QB.  What did Philly trade for Wentz? or  Washington for RG3

No one even knows where any of these picks will be yet.  I highly doubt this is true

What???  We are in week 15, they are already projecting draft slots

  6. Just received from my source with approval to post.  Verified by OBD. Washington wants both #1's and #3 this year and #2 next year for Cousins.  We don't think we will pay that price.  Probably end up with both #1's and #2 next year

So, the surmise here is that Leroi is DD's source if he is in fact legit?

QB evaluators seem to still be following the old school parameters . . . the sort of criteria that brought us EJ.  (And I liked EJ and held out hope much longer than most.)

Nevertheless, Cousins, Smith, and Darnold, who we will not be in a position to draft most likely does not sound like a good plan to me.

Personally, I would not dismiss Mayfield from consideration.

The comments on Mayfield "Small, poor feet and average arm"   Positives - "Competitive, athletic, can make plays"

  8. Here is the thinking on the Quarterbacks from obd

First round: The Bills only believe Sam Darnold is a first round talent to play in Buffalo.  strengths  "Strong arm, natural leader, can make all the throws. " Weaknesses - "Eye movement - locks on receiver for too long and decision making - forces too many throws.

Second round - Josh Allen - "Love his size, has best pure arm in draft, has great athletic ability, highly competitive individual.  Weakness "Level of completion, regressed this year, relies too much on natural ability, needs to learn to be a QB. Bad feet

3-4 round : Drew Lock Missouri - "Huge arm, pocket passer, can make all the throws.  Weakness "Cannot read defenses fast enough, needs to speed up progressions.  Problem with accuracy and forces too many throws

    5 and below

    Clayton Thorasn Northwestern

    stern

"Pro potential skill set, Good deep passer, strong arm and very intelligent player."  Weakness too mechanical  - may not come out this year

Luke Falls  Washington State - "Pocket passer and awareness.  Very accurate.  Weakness " needs to gain weight, not very athletic escability, operates out of the shotgun"

Mason Ruldoph " Athletic, good size and can deliver deep ball, nice touch on short passes.  Weakness - "Stares down receivers, spread offense, not a pocket passer, oppor accuracy, doesn't have field vision

I have spent the entire morning getting in touch with my contacts in Dunkirk to see if any of them knows who Dunkirk Don might be. Unfortunately they weren't able to definitively say but they did come across his memo that he sent to some of the members here and forwarded it to me. I thought I would share it with the membership here so we all could see it.

ahey Don, remember last night when you mentioned you were going ice fishing for Perch today? How did that turn out? You're back so early. You must have limited out quick ice fishing.

St. Lawrence Seaway not in Dunkirk.  IF you have any knowledge of the area you would know it is like a little village on the water

So Don, I asked last night and didn't see a response. You said Cousins has ties to WNY, and all you said was Dennison, Shannahan and Cousins. I found nothing that shows Dennison and Cousins worked together. So is there a true connection or tie or is it just throwing 3 names together because Shannahan and Cousins were in DC and Shannahan and Dennison were in Denver? I don't see how that gives Cousins ties to WNY.

Go back and read board I answered that question few days ago

I just thought I would help you post the latest most accurate Bills Information

He is nationally known and any NFL fan would know who he was and would not have to use google to research him

Let me see if I get this straight.    DD can post whatever he wants and others can't?

As you can see by my prior  post ...   I am trying to correct any errors DD provides the most correct info.    Schefler (with an L) vs Schefter  (with a T)

Perfect discussion for you shady. They could trade and still pick a top QB, save huge contract dollars on him and basically flip a 2nd round pick for 2 firsts?  End up with 3 first round picks this year.  Just a thought

Man, you are clueless.   FOUR YEAR OLD NEWS  Thank You for keeping us up to date and stuff we knew about so long ago!

they were thinking about it now is confirmed.  I thought you were done with this posting

  11. Stadium update - bad news   Season ticket holders will be forced to buy a personal seating license that will allow you to buy a season ticket.  This on top of the SALT tax.  This is what happens why public funds are not available but I guess they get it one way or another.

  12. Tomorrow the top five qb rankings will be posted with numeric values.  The values are derived from overall rating from scouting team. These will change as the process continues and more information is gathered on each prospect.  This is just a starting point to determine value.  Every team does it different.  The scouting department needs to differentiate between prospects to begin to separate them.

I still do not understand why people that think my posts are  bs are so bothered by them. I wouldn’t read them.  I know deep done inside, they know they are coming from obd

i will continue to post what my source tells me and people can decide for themselves.  I just wish that people that think it is bs would move on and go predict the score of the game or whether Tyrod is a fanchise qb, or the best draft pick ever, or discuss st Doug.  There is much more interesting posting then mine.  Why participate in the discussion if it is all bs.

Another example of why so many people, myself included call BS with what Don's posting.

Please stop reading then. You are wasting your time

I was a believer at first, but this is all sounding like BS.  No, and I mean 0, credible NFL guy is going to spill draft board info and free agency info for revenge.  Anyone fired would be looking for a new job, taking that inside info with him to his next gig.  Don, if someone is really giving you information that he/she says is "inside info" then you are as gullible as I was.  Also, this has been going on for how long?  Surely if this was real, McBeane would have put a stop to it dayssssss ago.

Your choice to believe or not.  It is coming from obd. Like it or not.  Guy is retiring   My friend that got fired is an investment banker and closing most of the land deals around the new stadium.  He is making a killing. More than he did with the bills.  He got the inside track on the land and people at obd are extremely angry because he beat them to the punch and the land directly surrounding the stadium is in contract. Revenge is best served cold.

Don, what is in it for your source that he has no problem sharing so much confidential information knowing you are coming here to share it?

Bills fired him and he has contacts. Our contact knows it was a bogus termination and Getting even. They were best friends and hunts with him.  Wife’s are sisters. I do feel bad a low level IT person was fired last week. Why would they fire a person this close to Christmas.

They know someone was hacking the email system but the ends justify the means.  Sometimes innocent people get caught in the squat, We have position by position rankings for the draft and tons of personal stuff that will not be posted.  We know the end is near and I will disappear but until then we share.  I love the bills but this guy is my friend and he did not have to let me in on the stadium location. Our investment group sale hopefully closes by the end of January.  Feel bad for the people selling the land, they have no clue. Tomorrow I will share top 5qb on our board.
