Rex Ryan was the head coach and Rob Ryan the D-coordinator.  Any question as to how Bell ran all over us?  I can't blame Alexander or any member of the D (past or present) for that disgusting defensive performance.  The team QUIT on Rex and Rob by that point in the season.

Jay Ajayi rushed for well over 400 yards in two games that season too.

I'm not a ryan fan at all, but quitting on a coach is indefensible as a professional. Players deserve blame too, I like Lorenzo but he was awful that day.

True, Lofton was not the same as he was when he was a Packer.

That being said, he thrived for 4 seasons with the Bills. He was older, but not washed up.

He only had 8 catches in 12 games his first year. He had 2 respectable years, but idk if I'd agree with thriving for 4 years. He did get a lot of TDs though. I think he gets held in a higher esteem because he was in the right place at the right time here.

Moulds was damn good and I don't think he ever got that much appreciation from a league wide perspective. It's unfortunate that we had inconsistency at QB when he was with us.

That being said, it's very tough to put him above the likes of Reed & Lofton.

He was far better than Lofton ever was if you're talking Bills careers. It's not even close. I know it's easy, everyone loves guys from those years, but Lofton wasn't that great as a Bill. His prime was in GB.

None of those policies would ever get through the senate. You really have a bizarre or non existant understanding of how the government works.

I’m a Sabres fan but ... it’s football starting up ... and they had the Instigators on at 10... right in the middle of the first BillsTC practice ...  why so we could hear about Evan Rodriguez arbitration?

I get the Sabres talk, if they do something then fine. But I don't need to hear about that team from July 14 or so until mid september. Get out of here with that crap.

He doesn't want to talk training camp, i don't want to hear about his million fantasy drafts starting in February. The guy thinks he personally is way more interesting than he is.

I don’t often complain about stuff but today was really irritating. He was extra miserable - didn’t want to talk about TC at all - and after droning on with some guest from Bahhhston about how running the ball is for the dark ages and the Bills need to throw it all over the place (KC is cold too, he says!) then he reversed course and drones on that protecting the football is the most important thing, hence Tyrod. Seriously wtf he’s a straight up moron.

I didn't hear today's show, i imagine he's probably mad because he has to talk about something other than Risto trades and bottom 6 forwards.

I know they're a local team, but the Sabres suck and I'm tired of hearing about them. Give it a rest for a couple months.

I played EWR! Burned so many hours playing that game. It's still free on EWBattleground.

Omega and Jericho had a match in Japan yes, then a rematch in AEW. He's a fantastic wrestler but also a genuinely grateful, humble guy who many find easy to like. He went the extra miles to learn the Japanese culture (which is ceremonial and we might say rigid in some ways) and cut promos in fluent Japanese and really won people's respect over his years there.

That game was a blast. The scenarios you could download, and creating your own promotion.

Glad to hear someone else wasted there time on that game. And I don't mean that as a bad thing, but it was so fun.

Then what is the case?  I made a comment, I wish she was cuter. It was criticized.  Why was it criticized?  The majority of the world feels the same.  My wife watches movies and tv shows because she likes certain actors.  Why does she like Ryan Gosling and Channing Tatum?  Because they’re great actors? Please, spare me.

Please don’t tell me you wouldn’t rather have Kate Beckinsales doppelgänger doing weekly videos on the Bills.....as opposed to someone much less attractive.  And it’s ok to feel that way.  People like looking at beautiful things.  Don’t kill the messenger

I see this thread has gone way off into the creepy direction.

I'll give the boards props for not being the first reply that sets it off...

    MAGA!

  9. Is Omega the one who feuded with Jericho in Japan?

I've heard good things about him. I used to be a huge wrestling fan and occasionally check in. I still click when i see an article that looks good or listen to some podcasts because the business, especially in the older days fascinates me. I actually find what goes on behind the scenes more interesting than the shows now, i guess it's kind of like the NBA in that way lol

Edit: Did any other wrestling nerds play EWR as a kid? That game was a blast.

sorry but it makes me ill. I do not like show boaters I do not like massive amount of gold chains draped over the neck of any athlete either. It turns me off, and IMO it shows a lck of professionalism and shows a lack of care of what is really important and that is team 1st and winning championships. If you look at the bills today we don't have these types of payers to this extreme extent. To me if a player act  like this they are not destined for great thing.

Nope this I find to be a huge negative. If any Bill did such a thing I would instantly start hating that player.

How I handle things that actually matter ?    We are on a forum designed to discuss football.. Lets keep it that way.. because in the end we would just discover how little you give a ***** about anything that actually matters

My point was that this has zero impact on anything and you're borderline losing your ***** on a football board, saying it makes you ill... Appearantly things really bother you

Just listen to what Fletcher was saying to Edmunds.  Dareus exhibit A.

I am not naive and I will tell you its not ALL about money for every player out there.  Just like countless other people who continue to do low paying jobs that have personal emotional benefits and also people who quit high paying jobs that are awful.

It's not ALL about money.  Don't be naive.

Most of those people aren't looking at the prospects of generational money who could be looking at 50 mil guaranteed, but being forced to work their job another year in which they might get hurt on the job and all that disappears in seconds.

It's not even remotely comparable to other who may work stressful high paying jobs with unrealistic targets.

Players have been doing this every year, trying to out do each other showing up in different things, its nothing new and getting kinda old.

No one really cares and most players probably think it's fun/funny to see what they are going to do. I doubt any of them take it as seriously and are offended like some here appear to be.

I really don't understand why anyone would care.

I would look to trade Jalen ASAP, or be prepared to let the man walk.  I just don't respect these type of antics.

To me this is like petting the kitty from the ass to the ears. You're rubbing people the wrong way. Especially your teammates

Man if you take this that seriously, I can't imagine how you handle things that actually matter.

    It's harmless. Who cares.

    1 hour ago, Ittakestime said:

As soon as Jalen gets his money, his career will go down hill.  Anyone that cares this much about the money has zero really passion to play the game for the love of it.

This is just nonsense you can't prove... in the end it's a business, and it is about money for these players. Don't be naive.

Whaley earned it with the following:

    1) lack of coherent planning.

    2) complete mismanagement of the draft

    3) a visible, tangible misunderstanding of how to NOT overpay for underperforming players, thereby leaving the cap in a shambles and the team with a 9 win ceiling.

By my metric, mcbeane are already ahead in two and possibly all three categories.

That's just completely wrong. He can't have a plan when ownership, be it Ralph/Russ or Pegula. Nobody ever backed him and clearly defined how much control he had. Pegula completely screwed him. He built a team for one scheme then was thrown Rex, and again roles were never clearly defined. You can't have a plan, or look like you're building something when you're undercut left and right.

Thank you all, so much, for your kind and comforting words.  Waking up to a new routine this morning was difficult, but knowing Chloe is no longer uncomfortable does make me happy.  Here's a nice pic of my girl.  She was special.

What a great picture. It's tough when someone so close to you isn't there anymore. I thankfully moved out years before my girls time came. She was 16, I'm 28 so she was with me through a lot. I work like 5 minutes from my moms where she lived. My mom bought the house and then we got the dog. I couldn't go over there for weeks when no one was there because the silence and being alone was so weird.

I know my mom dealt with what you're dealing with everyday. My deepest sympathies, hope you're doing ok even though it's tough

I watched most of his games last year, he’s not the same QB anymore. Stats stats stats... google away. There’s a lot more to games than the stats. Brady can’t throw deep anymore. He was dangerous cause he would kill you on short range and dump offs but you had to respect his deep shots down the field. His running back had 8-900 of those yards.

They made the playoffs and were a good team last year because they were a pretty dominant run team. They have completely transformed from years ago.

I watched the games. He's not a game manager. I don't think you really get that term.

And was hired by Beane (after himself interviewing here for Beane's job) so AFTER that year's FA and draft. He is a well respected personnel guy but I think it is a stretch to say he "helped" the team make the playoffs. He much more "helped" their 2018 draft - the Josh Allen / Tremaine Edmunds e v a l.... even though he was gone before the draft.

My only worry about this is where he fits. He was the Director of Player Personnel. Dan Morgan has that job now. So is he reporting to Morgan? If so is he senior to the Malik Boyd (Dir Pro Personnel) and Terrence Gray (Dir College Scouting)? Or is he in fact not reporting to Morgan but directly to Beane and Schoen?

I hate messy organisational structures that create ambiguity about who is accountable for what and to who... my experience across 3 professions is that never works well. My instinct is that the Bills think that Morgan and Schoen are likely to get looks elsewhere next off-season if Allen and Edmunds take a step and the Bills 2019 class looks good out of the gate. They have got Gaine back in the building and if either of those two roles (essentially the 2nd and 3rd in command) become available after 2019 he will seamlessly move into that job. I just hope until then how he fits into the rest of the structure is very clearly defined.

Most sports organizations aren't clearly defined because it is such a collaborative effort. All businesses are, but if you look across sports you often can't pin point who made what specific decision. In football, you have to balance the coach, pro and college personnel decisions, the gm and the owner. Their's often 5 or more people involved in the decision.

I guess.  He was there for one year--the season they went to the playoffs.  Not sure what moves he could have been involved in in a few months in the Bills FO to have had any impact in 2017.

Whaley was just as much responsible for breaking the drought as him.

Most of you knew that this thread was a joke at its creation.

In May of last year, I had a cancerous growth removed from Chloe's side, near her underside.  It was close enough to the surface to remove it without being too invasive.

It came back about six months ago.  With a vengeance.  This time, much more deeply rooted, near her groin area, where lymph nodes are.

Since she was 10 at the time, I decided to not have surgery.  It would have been very invasive and the likelihood that they'd get it all would be slim.

We put her on a daily regimen of Benadryl (a wonder drug for dogs, it seems) and Prednisone.   This kept the tumor at bay for a while.

Over the last few months, the tumor grew.  A lot.  I was going to have her put down about 5-6 weeks ago, but the doctor said we could try some different medicines, then go back to the Benadryl/Prednisone.  I agreed to it.

I got another great handful of weeks with my girl.

This past Friday, she stopped eating and drinking.  Her leg on the side of the tumor began to swell yesterday.  She was no longer moving about.  She told me it was time.

Today was her birthday.  She turned 11.  And today, we also said goodbye to my dear Chloe Belle.

She was a trooper.  She hung in there until the end.  She gave us 11 years of happiness and I love and miss her so ***** much.

As she fell into her eternal sleep, she looked into my eyes as I told her how much I loved her and to "go seepies."

    Then She Did.

    RIP, baby.  Daddy loves you.

Man I wish you the best. I lost my 16 year old lab March 30th. Your post brings me back to that day. It's so hard.

    Take care.
