I fear if we cut Tyrod Taylor after ending our 17 year playoff drought, our franchise will be cursed again like the curse of old Doug Flutie. At least give him the chance to prove himself in a playoff game before we write him off!
-
I think the old Flutie Curse has finally been exorcised but the curse itself was the stuff of legends. Still to be remembered even when we finally do win our first Super Bowl. Will always be a part of Buffalo Bills folklore.

No way. Teams that much better with an able qb
Thank you Andy Dalton for the miracle.
Could do much worse than Taylor. He lead us to the playoffs on a team that was gutted. No Woods, no Watkins, Glenn down, Dareus gone, still we made the playoffs. He is on the books for 1 more year, draft a QB high, start Taylor, make the playoffs again on a reloaded roster while the rookie warms the bench. If Tyrod delivers again, extend him, if not let him walk, clean break.

That was no accident. Belicheat knew what he was doing. What a steal. I like John Lynch and loved the 49ers as a kid. They have about $117 mil in cap space. Front old Jimmy G contract and build talent with cap space down the road to re-sing studs.
They didn't really get much for Jimmy though, I mean what? A 2nd round pick? They are going to regret this mistake for many years to come. When Jimmy is a franchise QB for the next decade after Brady retires, dire situation for NE.

I can't get enough of these reactions.
Looked about the same in my living room, except it was just 1 fat guy jumping around scrraming.

Thank God he is out of the division.

He deserves credit. Made the playoffs in 15 games with an all new and usually injured wr core in a scheme that works to his weaknesses as a player. You dont have to like him but give credit where its due. Still think we draft a qb 1st.
I wouldn't trade up for one but if the right prospect came to us, absolutely. We got time to choose, Taylor is a playoff caliber QB, let the board come to us.

He did it in 15 games too. And with his #1 WR for years traded away before the start of the season. Did a single WR from last year even return? Taylor did pretty well this year when you think about it.
We got 4 picks within the top 64 picks on top of the fact that we are a playoff team.

Still don't want him back next year unless we win the superbowl
He got us to the playoffs with no run defense and pass rush, add a star DE and DT, why couldn't we make the playoffs again with a stronger roster around him?
-
Taylor gets another year, draft a QB very high though.

I think we have a real shot against Jacksonville, I really do. We can't pass the best, but we can stop the pass. Our running game is one of the best, but we can't stop the run. I think if we can shutdown Jacksonville's run game, we got it.

TRUST THE PROCESS! I bet you the players are buying in now!

This is why you never bottom out on purpose. !@#$ any QB prospect, we got a chance at a Lombardi Trophy.

He's nothing more than a big name.

Agreed. The Bills must trade up. As much as I want 2 first round picks, I want a QB more. I am very interested in knowing what QB they covet. Is the Darnold talk real?
Whatever it takes.

I think Rudolph goes in the 10-15 range. You watch, he'll take over for Brady.

Benjamin is booked for next year at $8.5M.........and I suppose they could franchise him after 2018........and this being such an old team and with so few commitments long term they are going to have PLENTY of cap room that far down the road.
The issue is that Adams hasn't even had a 1,000 yard season yet and he got paid like THAT.
Not worth that money but I think the Pack saw the success teams like Philly and Rams had ADDING WR and figure that WR are going to be a hot commodity this offseason.
Draft class ain't that hot at WR either........don't see any Sammy Watkins' in this group.
Good thing the Bills went the opposite direction and gutted their WR corps.
I agree. Outside of Sutton and Ridley, probably nobody I'd take in the first. I think Ridley and Kirk are the best fits for us.
-
For teams with franchise QBs, WR in my mind is the second most important position, you gotta pay big time WRs, there is just no way around it. Too important of a position to skimp out on.

Agreed, especially for offensive players. This will be an enormous offseason for those two. So many assets.
I almost wonder if Beane tipped McD off to some of the prospects we drafted last year. I think there was an agreement between the two long before the move was made.

I expect McDermott to have a big role in the draft room moving forward, especially with defensive players
Same here. I think he makes the end decision but I also think McD highly respects Beane and will rely on him heavily.

I understand that but I believe McDermott had his pick with linebacker. Being a defensive coach and looking for something in particular...I think he chose the pick
I think so too. He did so on such short notice too, even more impressive.

Where do you guys think Derrius Guice and Christian Kirk will go? If you pair them up with Mason Rudolph we would numerous weapons at our disposal.
What happens to Tyrod now?!!

I think next Sunday will make the decision much easier.
