  1. Who thinks the dog kicking thing was real? I know it’s not the most trust worthy source. I think the poster really believes he hired someone to attack her. So if you believed someone had done that to your friend would you also make up a couple of lies of lesser severity in order to slander the person? Why would that be necessary?

It’s possible, but something tells me that hospital room wasn’t a writer’s room. The post was made out of anger and the specific nature of the dog claim makes me believe it’s true.

That is not what I am saying dont put words in my mouth

    I am saying

    a.  Allens throws are downfield NFL throws (you know the kind that by nature have a less accurate catch rate)

    b.  Allen's receivers drop balls.....or they dont gain separation and get to spots on the field to get to the spot on the field they need to be...you know cuz they suck?

    c.  I dont care about other qbs stats...they are not my qb.....some people care because their qb didnt get drafted (I am assuming you are in this camp)

    d.  When Allen actually played with talented players...his numbers were in fact a lot better which tells its own story

    Is this logical to you?

    yes

IF PLAYERS DROP BALLS THAT HIT THEM RIGHT IN THE HANDS THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QB THROWING IT OR THE DEFENSES FACED....THEY ARE SIMPLY DROPPING THE BALLS

Oh sorry I thought you might care about the drop rate, probably because of this sentence. My bad, never mind then.

I'm just saying it's not very logical to point out Allen's receivers' drops, but ignore the other QBs receivers' drops.

But if all you're saying is he will or can be good in the NFL then I'm on board.

The evaluation of the draft will rise or fall with how Josh Allen ends up doing in his career.  I actually hope that he does not play too much this year because whoever the QB is will likely face some adversity.  It might be wise not to throw Josh in the fire.

The Bills gave up a lot to make all of the moves they did to be able to pick him (starting with the trade last year).  Allen clearly is not the darling of the analytics people whereas Baker Mayfield is.  Allen can make throws that few people can make and struggles with some throws nearly every professional QB can make consistently.

I am not sure how many drops he had (I have read some who claim that this is overstated). On the other hand, if he had only completed 10 more passes, he would have had a 60% completion rate.

10 more completions is not so many.

I have no idea whether Josh Allen will end up being the "franchise QB" we have been waiting for, but I am willing to give him a chance when he is ready to play (whenever that is) . . . as we all should.  He seems like a good guy and he has embraced Buffalo.

...and I wish we drafted one that most people weren't afraid to "throw into the fire"

Sure, every rookie is going to have growing pains. I just see a lot of excuses being made for Allen before even one snap.

Tell that to someone who hasnt actually watched the games

    I did

So where was he ranked in drop rate?

Everyone is entitled to their opinion

One thing I do not agree with in their evaluation

Allen.....good when he had good players around him

Allen.....drop off when he lost those players

Their theory.....does not hold water because the defenses were not good players

IF PLAYERS DROP BALLS THAT HIT THEM RIGHT IN THE HANDS THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE QB THROWING IT OR THE DEFENSES FACED....THEY ARE SIMPLY DROPPING THE BALLS

Allen didn't have a high drop rate compared to other top QBs in this draft

Kelvin Benjamin and a healthy Zay Jones are an acceptable #1 and #2 combination. Kerley is a solid slot receiver. Holmes and Streater have shown flashes of play making ability here and there. If we head into the season with those five plus perhaps one of the return specialists on the chart, then we should be okay for the season. Could we be strong? Of course we could, but right now I think I am more concerned about our quarterback position and the production we can expect out of them rather than our receiving depth chart if I'm being perfectly honest.

Not if your goal is to win the Super Bowl. I don't even know why Zay is still on the team after that video and last season's play.

  7. Don't have time to read all the replies but yeah it was "lucky" that they made the playoffs in many ways. Unless you want to argue semantics of what luck actually means, but that doesn't sound like fun.

Haha we only lost by 7 points in the playoffs! Why don't you say we managed only a field goal? What a loser mentality you have.

This team was not fun to watch and not very good, they got "lucky" by the AFC having a bad record against the NFC, the Texans' slew of injuries, the pass interference agains the colts, von miller penalty, matt ryan fumble, Andy Dalton .

what player did they trade the was a 2 time pro bowler?

    Dareus

Why are you placing random metrics to my argument as if it will invalidate my point if someone hasn't' made two pro bowls? We need a speed receiver still, yet we traded Sammy for a second. We got a 5th for Dareus, but you wouldn't trade Ducasse, DiMarco and Holmes for a 3rd? It's just interesting to me that some people don't have integrity to their logic if it supports what the Bills have done. I

Fact about duckass by the ratings of all nfl guards  not a pro bowl guy but ranking 33 is really better than average considering how may guys were ranked.   So, maybe they would have been better off the deer guy playing insead

    33. Vladimir Ducasse, Buffalo Bills

    Pass Protection: 15/25
    Run Block: 16/25
    Power: 16/20
    Agility: 14/20
    Position Value: 7/10
    Overall Grade: 68/100

People mocked the Bills when they signed Vladimir Ducasse in March, but they shouldn't have. Although he had some rough reps early on in his career, Ducasse was a solid fill-in for the Ravens down the stretch in 2016. He had another serviceable performance again this year, and while the dominant flashes aren't as prevalent as you would expect with someone his size, he has cleaned up a lot of the footwork issues that plagued his tape early on in his career.

    1. But around here there are a lot of guys who know better.

Damn, didn't realize he played that well. Would you trade him for a 3rd?

  10. Y'all really can't imagine available free agents better than Davis Ducasse and Tolbert? or even comparable? Listen, I don't think the 3rd rounder matters that much, but stop blindly supporting everything the Bills do and realize it's just bad asset management. I read all pre-draft about how important all our precious draft picks are to build a team for the future, but now it's only a 3rd and not worth giving up these terrible players. It's the lack of logic that bothers me.

Also, cutting Tolbert alone would have helped the team immensely.

No argument on Tolbert the coaches saw something in him that was invisible to us.

    Dont know who duckass is

DiMarco 2 time pro-bowl played who was rated as the best FB in the NFL who would carry a much bigger dead cap hit than cap savings.

Davis who was much needed in rotation at the end of the season when Shaq went down. He also finished the season with 1 less sack than the team leader.

Maybe tanking for a 3rd round pick in more important than ending the playoff drought???

We could have still squeaked into the playoffs and kicked a field goal without those players by signing replacements who are just as good.

    Share your thinking...

What bills players should the Bills cut or let walk and what free agents did they signed that should not have to get theses picks?

Also tell us how the Pats and Eagles will be better with the players they lost with the picks they gained.

Could have cut Tolbert, Duckass, and DiMarco or (Davis?). Not sure about the last one, but would have had a 3rd apparently.
