Greg Rousseau has turned out to be a complete slug.

Groot isn't actually highly paid, though. 15th-highest this season and he will quickly slide down the list as other DEs sign new contracts. Yes, which is why it came down to a final offensive possession at the end with the Bills having a chance to win. That is how numbers work. -

The defense gave up fewer than 20, fam. The offense gifted 6. It's frankly concerning at this point that you aren't able to process that. -

Yes? It's bad against the run, if it weren't it would be good. By the numbers it's an average overall defense. We held them well below their average offensive yardage and only gave up one point above their average points scored due to two drives starting in field goal range that ended in field goals. I don't know what else you would call it. I get that you're mad, and stats don't matter when you're mad, but that doesn't mean they stop existing. -

Our average defense posted an above-average performance versus a below-average offense, which is what one would expect. It hit par. -

The Bills have an average defensive unit, I wish it were better (and it very likely would be if remotely healthy) but it is what it is And what it is is average, not terrible -

Our defensive line has a lot of injuries. Sefense still shut down the passing game for the most part. -

The defense played well overall when looking at the full game. Last time I checked, the game doesn't end at halftime. I would generally hope for more than 12 points from our offense, yes. We can call it 16 due to the missed XP and passing up the shorter field goal, but would ding them for short-field turnovers that led to 6 points for the other team. -

You literally listed Allen's statline, so I responded in kind. Was I supposed to pretend that 24/34 for 253 belonged to Mills? Mills had a couple missed throws in the game but the Bills clamped down hard in the second half. I don't get why you are having trouble acknowledging that offensive production was much lower for the Texans than it was in previous weeks. -

They had 35 net yards in the 2nd half and never led by more than a score. There is zero percent chance they were no longer trying to move the ball. I would consider that a rock-solid outing were it not for the two interceptions, especially considering the amount of pressure being generated. -

The Bills have an average defense despite being a M.A.S.H unit. The Defense held them 80 yards below their per-game average. For reference, Mills had 292 and 274 the prior two weeks. -

16/30 for 153, y'all gotta stop acting like he lit up the defense -

It wasn't quite a carry job, but it was close. Mills was 16/30 for 153 yards. That's not a very good day and well below his previous two performances. -

Frankly, in hindsight we probably should have paid Edmunds. We are noticeably worse vs. passes to the middle of the field since he left. Bernard had a great 2023 but has struggled since. -

He's not a game-changing pass rusher, but he isn't paid like one, and those don't typically last until his draft slot, either. Run defense isn't a one-man show, and he is extremely effective at his 1/11th. He renewed this year and is the 15th-highest paid DE, and will probably be down to ~30th or so after the next wave of extensions. No, we didn't. The guys paid to get to the QB make literally double what he does. -
Yes? He's an adequate pass-rusher and is fantastic at everything else. The elite pash rushers get paid double what he makes.

He was pressured on 28/35 dropbacks, sacked 8 times, and in this instance, a play was just blown up by an immediate block whiff.

Groot has been great, Bedford appears to be rounding back into form, and Hoecht/Boba were as advertised prior to injuries. Defense is getting the job done with a M.A.S.H. unit out there, it seems absurd to be so critical of them when they've put out a league-average performance in each of our losses despite multiple offensive turnovers.
-
Play was late to get in =/= he thought the playcall was bad He wouldn't ever express a moment of frustration to his designated QB buddy about anything other than a coach? Bruh.
-
Sure, but it's an entirely different argument.
-
Do we know that? Or was he pissed about Torrence straight-up whiffing the block right off the snap? Fans need to get out of the habit of projecting their thoughts onto players. Unless we think Allen has no audible options, he has a say in what play actually gets run.

I don't know that we got beat by any of those QBs. Miami ended up putting up points at the end on the ground, but that is the big risk of being forced to sell out to prevent any first downs. If they break through, they're gone. The common denominator in all of our losses this year is turnovers plus a failure of the offense to step up to the plate and overcome them.
