  1. A lot of nastiness on this board, just like on social media, and just like life.

You complain about a TV program, change the channel.

Complain about a newspaper, don't read it,

and to complain about $2.99 for a full month, for the entire newspaper I believe, makes no sense.

As for the play and KB, he was damaged goods when he came here. Carolina duped the Bills,

and the play was a push off, end of story.

  2. Great article today in the Daily News (New York) about all NFL QBs and the salary cap.

As we all know, New England is better than anyone in NFL, not withstanding winning or losing today.

They draft better than anyone, they coach better than anyone, and the only head coach in the league to

have full roster control is Bill Belichick, although I think McDermott comes close as he brought Beane

from Carolina. Anyway, the Pats lead the league in having undrafted free agents with 18, 34% of the roster.

7new key players on D this past year, and on O, only 1 starter who was a Pats 1st round pick.

The point of the lengthy article is how QBs played this season in comparison to the salery cap hit their

team took for them.A lot of you know that Tom Brady, the 3rd best rated QB in the league  had his 2017

QB salary % of the cap 19th of 43, meaning the Pats had a lot of money left over to sign free agents.

The Bills had Taylor the 18th rated QB, and 22nd against the Cap with a little under 5% of his salary

against the cap.  The worst situation is Joe Flacco who dealt the Ravens a cap hit of 14.5% of their cap space.

Whether it means anything to you, QB play rated under Taylor this past year include Prescott, Carr, Dalton,

Bortles, Palmer, Brissett, Foles, Mariota, Cutler, Newton, Manning, and Flacco.

What does this all mean, maybe nothing, but maybe Taylor is not costing a horrible sum against the cap,

and just because the Bills can draft in quantity in the draft, doesn't mean they can draft their way into the SB.

  3. There is one big point that we are all missing, as some of the lst and 2nd rounders leaving are

managements fault and some are not.

We get all these top draft choices coming here, most all are single, or with girl friends and with

money to burn. We all know what a great place Western New York is to grow up at and to raise

family's, but first of all, these rookies and their agents have known they are not coming here to go

to the Super Bowl, and most guys want to win. Second of all, how many times can these guys

see Niagara Falls or go to the same Art Gallery if they want. Or what about going to a bar

downtown for a couple of drinks. Buffalo is the Bills and so many people know who these guys

are. How would you like to be Tyrod Taylor going into a bar or club Sunday night after a loss.

These guys can get lost in New York, Philly, Miami, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, LA, San Fran, etc.

and not get abused like they can here and maybe have a better social life.

When I was growing up. relatives near Toronto used to come to Buffalo all the time. They

haven't been here in 30 years. If I want to have some fun  I can leave Buffalo and head anyplace for

a couple of days if I have the money. All things being equal moneywise, winning; a better social

life; better weather late in the season; wouldn't a lot of free agents  want to leave .

    Just saying.

  4. No, the point is all the talent we have given up this year, like the T who the Coach could

not work with, that we practically gave away. Maybe Marrone was not so dumb after

all in leaving because he made it work with Dareus. Dareus, no matter what anyone thinks

has talent, and quitting on talent hurts a football team no matter kind of person the player is.

  5. Of course, no team makes PERFECT roster decisions, but the Pats unfortunately make less.

If you have not just come back from Mars you know why they traded J.G.

Sure, without Brady and Belichick it is a different story, but they always have the right pieces.

We traded for a crippled WR from Carolina who needs surgery, and how will he come back?

He is also the guy who pushed off in the end zone for a 10 yard penalty that maybe cost us the game.

  6. You really want to keep a guy, you can figure out how to keep him. It seems the Pats always

win the AFC because they know who to keep and who to let go. Cap or no Cap.

There is a reason certain players on certain teams test the market.

Has Brady ever tested the market. No, because he knows with Coaching and Management

the Pats make the right decisions to be able to win.

  7. Marcel Dareus sack of Tom Brady today in the 4thQ could not get the Jacksonville a trip to the Super Bowl,

but Stephon Gilmore with maybe a game saver, got the New England Pats to the Super Bowl.

There is a old saying in sports "DON'T QUIT ON TALENT" and it is mind boggling all the talent the Bills

gave away this year. I believed it's been repeated hundreds of times here, so I don't need to go into all

the names, because you know who they are. For Cap space and Draft Choices?

Why is it that the Pats never have these situations that hurt them?

We even lost two guys off the practice squad to these guys this past season. Are the Pats that smarter?

    You all know the answer.

  8. With 12:50 left in the game yesterday, Roethlisberger threw on 4th and 1 incomplete.

The Jags safety said, "I!m expecting sneak for sure or at least something to Bell straight up

the gut. Once I see a pass, I was like, whoa. It worked out in our favor. If your QB is that big,

all he has to do is lean forward and it's a first down." This, on the Jags 39.

Roethlisberger was asked if he thought they should have called a sneak. "I don"t know.

It's been a while since we've run a QB sneak. I'm for it. I don't know, that's kind of over my

head when it comes to why we don't do it. I'm not going to sit here and second guess,

why don't we QB sneak? I don't know how many years it has been since we ran a

QB sneak. It's not like it's just this year.  So, I don't know."

Whether it's not wanting to overrule the OC or what, what do you guys think, because

we know that Big Ben is not exactly a rookie.

  9. This guy, if I recall correctly was on the bench when the Bills beat the Rams last year, and now how far

    can he go?

See what good coaching, and WRs and TEs who can actually catch the ball can do for QBs.

I will probably be repeating this before the draft, but our WRs lost the Jacksonville game.

Benjamin with his lame brain penalty in the end zone, and Clay with his, wiping out a 39 yard McCoy run.

    rush into Jags territory.
