  1. You are right about Shady. He is one of the premier running backs in all of football, although you wouldn't

know it if you came on the scene recently. Maybe it wouldn't make a difference if he got more touches

because Santa Clause couldn't get through to deliver if he had this OL trying to open a space.

If they don't know football 101 that the run game or the threat of a run game opens it up for the pass

game, then something is clearly wrong.

The Minnesota game plan never had to be used because that team came on the field acting like they

just closed every bar in the State. The fumbles and horrid play of the Vikings was a aberration, as they

almost beat the undefeated Rams the past week.

  2. The big knock on Tyrod Taylor was he was not a pocket passer. That is what will happen to Josh Allen

if he has to run out of the pocket as defensive lineman bear down on him all the time. Also, defenses,

the more they see on film, the more they know his tendencies, and how to beat him.

He is not game ready, and a lot of these young hot shot QBs performances will quickly diminish.

Sam Darnold, after his beat down of the Lions in game #1 was called a star. His next 3 games have been

bad. This is the big boys league, and there are lot smarter people on opposing teams than great rookie QBs.

Some people are calling for Patrick Mahomes to be a hall of famer. He has been great, but 3 games is

too small a sample. He may be a all time great, but 3 games is not a career, and what he sat and learned

last year can't be duplicated by rookie QBs who suffer growing pains, and how rookies succeed depend

more than on talent. It is coaching and organizational acumen. Jim Kelley was more than a rookie coming

to the Bills, Josh Allen is a rookie..

  3. Call me a troll or whatever, as I got ripped for my last post for complaining about losing Woods, Watkins,

and Goodwin for almost nothing and replacing them with this group of WRs. The Pats tried Decker and

Gordon this year. They both may not work out, but at least they TRIED to improve their WRs.

    1. We have no QB mentor to help teach Allen this year, unless you think he should learn the position

    from Nathan Peterman.

    2. Low balling Incognito before his breakdown backfired, and we have been blaming OCs from before

Marone's time for our OL problems, when the real problem is a lack of competent GMs who

haven't had a clue on OL talent, and please don't tell me to trust the process.

    3. Our WR core is among or maybe the worst in the league. You can refer to the first paragraph

    for my thinking on that.

The bottom line is if Allen gets no help to correct his physical errors, and continues to run for his life

messing up his mental makeup, he won't make it here.

  4. 4. I don't have a clue what this # is about.

Our OC is a problem. On the first series 3rd and 1, the most predictable play possible was called.

A run play right into the middle of the Packers D. Late in the 3rd Q, down 19-0 on two consecutive

series, run plays were called. With this O Line you could have guessed the result beforehand.

Call me whatever you want, but Beane and McD stripped the roster of so much talent for draft

choices. Even with the best GMs that is a roll of the dice.

  5. Maybe this thread should be closed now before all the past negative comments and I told you sos' appear.

When they were bad, it didn't need to be sugar coated, and when they are good, actually more than good,

we need not be shy about it either.

Total domination, how sweet it is. Let's build on it.

    1. Amazing performance by Allen. Without sitting a year and no veteran mentor now, yesterday was the day

his talent showed to the NFL. Whatever growing pains he will have, the future holds so much promise for him.

    2. Jerry Hughes and Kyle Williams. A blast from the past. Where had you gone for so long, guys. Welcome back.

    3. No matter what McDermott says about his DC. This game had the HC fingerprints all over the D. At the end

of the year, if there is a award for game of the year to a HC,  this was it.

  6. Apparently a lot of people are missing the point of the post.

It is not about salary caps or week 1 or 2 production. It is about the fact that Watkins, Woods and Goodwin

are gone and replaced by Benjamin, Zay and whoever. If anyone wants to argue that what we have now for

WRs is better than what we had, you can argue that forever. It was the GM and HC (they are tied at the hip)

to replace what talent that left, with better talent, not worse talent, and they did not do that. End of story unless

you actually believe they want to lose on purpose, to empty New Era, to set up Allen to fail, and to make the Bills

the laughing stock of the NFL, and scare free agents away, and if you believe that, then there is no hope for you.

  7. The last 2 weeks are what happens when you quit on talent as the above statistics from Sunday shows.

Like I wrote last year, Beane and McDermott got duped by Carolina on Benjamin. He is even on the injury report

again this week. Jones made 1 long catch after he bobbled the ball. I guess running around naked with blood

on his body didn't make him a better WR.

Thanks for the discipline Sean and Beane.
