  1. The above comments by apuszczalowski are all true, but since Sports wagering is now legal in the U.S.,valid points

    were made for those interested.

    1. Some coaches play more to win in the preseason than others. Pete Carroll, John Harbaugh and Mike Zimmer are

all over .667 in the preseason.

    2. With 7 new coaches in the league, some may wish to start a winning mentality.

    3. Most August games are won by 2nd and 3rd string QBs.

    4. Preseason wagering should be for entertainment purposes as you are guessing, but you can win.

The limits at most sport books in the preseason are $2,000 for sides and $1,000 for totals, If everyone was losing

the limits would not be so low.

    5. Do the research, and be selective if you want to do this. Good luck.

  2. As per NY Post 7/31; Do's and don'ts of wagering on NFL preseason

DON'T expect bad teams with below-average quarterbacks-Buffalo, for example, with AJ McCarron, Nathan Peterman,

and Josh Allen-to do good things just because the opponents could be disinterested in the preseason.

The rest of the article was interesting at least.

  3. How else do you evaluate QBs or anyone else on the team except by past performances,

meaning game action, (not looking good or bad during practice),

and if you forget he has already been evaluated as a 5th round pick, not a 1st rounder.

Is every team in the league wrong about this guy and the Bills are right?

And maybe someone can explain to me why my thread that is the opposite of this one, was

    merged into this one.

  4. To John Wawrow and others.

Is the Bills policy of no media until the last day of OTAs standard NFL policy among teams, as we knew

things that on at opening of OTAs that went on with the Giants and Odell, and yesterday first day at Jets OTAs

everyone even knew how many snaps the 3 QBs got.

Maybe if the Bills were more fan friendly with injuries and other news it would be a positive, not a negative.

  5. I know, I know, there will be haters on me for this thread, but someone has to take the opposite view to

someone predicting he will be the #1 QB starting the season.

Please, please let us hope not.

Is anyone forgetting he was passed over more than 100 times in the draft, and Tom Bradys do not grow on trees.

I don't know what NFL records he holds in the league for his performance in 2017, but I remember him starting the

year with picks, and closing out the season against the Jags with a pick.

To answer my own question, maybe McD likes him, maybe he has shown improvement throwing to pee wees

over the winter, maybe, maybe, maybe. We all better hope he is not QB#1 against the Ravens, and that is my

    opinion.

  6. You are all guessing as to why he did what he did, with someone saying recently he has mental issues

or is basically not thinking clearly, and the situation with the contract seemingly is the #1 guess, but isn't

it possible he has looked at the roster and on his side of the ball, saw a bad OL, a rookie QB and really

no #1 WRs. Benjamin lost me with the push off in  the end zone against the Jags, plus coming off surgery

as he was damaged goods from Carolina. Don't forget our other WR running around naked with blood on

himself, and apparently was never disciplined.

As no one has actually picked the Bills in the Super Bowl this year, maybe he just wants to play for a winner.

  7. Going down the line of threads, all I see are QBs featured.

I don't care if Jim Kelley puts on a uniform again, without any sound and quality people to run routes,

catch the football and go with it, we have a problem. Our WR1 is coming off surgery, and all we can do

is hope for the best with him. Our WR2 is coming off a bad rookie year, and a even worse off season,

and that is it for NFL quality WRs on the roster.

Our TE is so banged up, he can't practice between games, although I say give Nick O'Leary the spot, and

he will be adequate or more than adequate. The OL needs big help. Average QBs have won SBs, so

let us hope for the best Thursday.

  8. Forgetting about franchise QBs, with the ultimate goal being winning the Super Bowl, go back

about 20 years, and of the 33 QBs drafted in the top 10 spots, only 2 (both Mannings) have won

the big game, so sure people are gun shy. Make the wrong pick and it can cost you your job.

Great QBs can come from anywhere, and the NFL graveyard is full of bad QBs, so we will need to wait

a few years to see how this QB class makes out

  9. So here we go, Thursday night, the 2018 NFL draft.

Let us go back say 5 years, because 2013 was year that has set the franchise back, back so that here we go again,

looking for a prospective franchise QB. We must be near the bottom of the NFL during this time, with no pro bowlers

in the draft, and in my mind the worst pick during this time has been EJ Manuel.  I can argue that moving up for

Sammy Watkins ranks right up there because what do we have for Watkins on the roster now.

The best pick has to be last years Tre'Davious White pick.

You want to go back more than 5 years go to it, but what do you guys think about this  topic.
