    You're spot on!  Good take!

I think people are way too quick to bury him because of 1 bad game.  He's still learning and making good strides!  Expectations should be high next year!  This year just make the playoffs and gain experience for the future as we take it to the next level then!

    Go Bills!

He had 4 turnovers vs. the Jets. Without a top 5 defense, I don't think that's a win. He wasn't exactly "good" against the Bengals either. His lone "good" game came against the Giants where he was 19/30 250 1 TD.. Not saying I don't like Josh or see potential in him, but his career trajectory is reminiscent of EJ, whose avg QB rating was 10 points higher than Josh's at this point in their career.

Glad he's ok, but still think it's a mistake to play him.

As we all know, concussions are easier to reoccur after already having one, and does anyone think Allen's just going to start playing significantly different to be safer?

We also have seen over 16 games that Allen plays the same, reacts the same, and makes the same decisions, good or bad, every time he's facing a certain scenario. He'll make the same awful plays you just saw him do the last time he faced that situation, and you'll see him punish a team running just like the last time the defense gave him that look.

If we're in need of a 1st, especially if we're behind on the scoreboard (and definitely if Allen is the primary reason for that deficit), I expect him to run straight into those defenders trying to get the extra couple yards...EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

His health is important, and Barkley is a smart guy that has had even more time in this offense to learn the ins & outs. He's more than capable of winning this game, possibly more than Josh at this point, and should start in his stead.

Giving Allen 2 extra weeks would be better to help him get a fresh start after that awful game anyway.

Good point. If he gets another concussion this week he may miss many games. IMHO, I think he played his way to the bench this week. Can anyone honestly say he gives the Bills the best chance to win after watching that game? He regressed completely.. almost got himself killed.. I'm not sure when NFL coaches decided benching your "potential" franchise QB when he plays like crap hinders their development, but I hate it. Sitting on the sideline after a game like that might just be what he needs to develop.

  3. It was definitely annoying for the TNF crew to be talking about a Tom Brady tweet during the game, especially when his O-Line holds more than any other in the league. Of course he wants to sway to league into calling holding less often, when it is apparent they are looking for it more this year and than in years past. It doesn't bode well that the 2nd half of the game saw almost no penalties either. I'm sure the officiating crew was told to stop throwing as many flags so Buck and Aikman could enjoy the rest of the game.

I saw one truly bad holding call and it was because Ramsey did a good job of acting when he couldn't get off his block, and the ref that called it probably didn't have the best angle. I also thought the refs weren't being biased with their calls. The Titans O-Line is horrible and the Jags D was manhandling them. They had no choice but to hold or Mariota was going to need to be carted off the field.

Look, I'm not going to go back and forth with you about it. The NFL figured him out. Keep him in the pocket and he cannot beat you with his arm alone ala our own Tyrod Taylor who played in the same system. Read the rest of the original post and let it sink in.

Tyrod Taylor is also one of the best, if not the best backup in the league right now. And from a football persepective, I'd rather have Kaep over Tyrod.

The one that Harbaugh and Roman ran in SF. Do you not remember?

You mean the one being run in Baltimore to this day?

How was it a gimmick?  2012 and 2013, 1000 yard rusher, 1000 yard receiver.... pretty standard.

You don't go to the Super Bowl and then to the NFC Championship the following year with "gimmick" play. The people who compare Tim Tebow to Kaep are just being ignorant.

"Antonio Brown was a one-man circus in Oakland, called his then-general manager a slur and is now facing a civil lawsuit that accuses him of rape, sexual assault and sexual harassment. Yet he was unemployed for all of six hours before the New England Patriots scooped him up, while Kaepernick can’t even get a courtesy call."

" Kaepernick has a career passer rating of 88.9, which would put him just behind Carson Wentz and ahead of Jared Goff this season. Aaron Rodgers and Dak Prescott are the only active players with a lower interception rate. "
