We’d probably have the same amount of rings as we do with McD
But I’d probably like my chances more with Rex. He made it to 2 AFC championships with Mark Sanchez. McD can’t even do that with #17.

I agree. When he said in his press conference yesterday "I hope people know...I'm competitive as hell", I took it as confirmation of what I already knew: Beane doesn't believe in "rebuilding", and he's certainly not envisioning wasting a year of Allen's prime by saying "we're waving the white flag this year". He WILL do what's necessary to replenish his WR corps, I'm certain of it.I would argue not upgrading at HC is contradictory of this. But that might not be something he has the power to do.
I do believe he's going to try to boost the WR corps though and I don't think he wants to just punt a season away.

Hopefully it’s not the Darcy Regier press conference after they lost Drury and Briere. “We’re going to be less competitive.”
Haha that was probably the only press conference I've ever seen for one of my teams where leadership was flat out like "bruh, it's over".

The Buffalo Bills are slowly turning into the Buffalo Sabres. Pegula doesn’t know how to run a sports franchise.
Beane has allowed that loser McDermott to stick around after repeated playoff failure. He’s let the team go into cap hell and is now forced to gut the roster. The window to win with the best QB we’ve ever had is rapidly closing.
I agree...but in fairness...I don't think McD is Beane's call. I think that's all Pegula. I believe he values having a "good Christian man" in his own words, is more important to him than trying to win a Super Bowl.

It's either McD has failed or Mahomes is unreal in the playoffs.
Other D's in the playoffs have fared better against him than McD's has. We've gotten all-time performances from Josh and have nothing to show for it.- 1

Oh, please! Last year by the time the playoffs rolled around, the D was starting - what? - four to five of the guys they wanted to start? And the injured included probably four of their best five defenders. And at least two of those who still played- Poyer and DaQuan - were not close to their usual selves due to injury.
What about literally every other season we've been eliminated? In our 3 playoff games vs KC in 4 years...McD's defense has gotten them to punt a TOTAL of 4 times! Is that good? Are you impressed by that?
McD's D has been awful in the biggest games and moments since he's been here literally every single season, even when we've been relatively healthy. I don't really even know how you can debate that.

I have a feeling the Bills saw the Chiefs without Tyreek and said "we can do that too". They'll lean more on the run game and short game passing. Diggs wasn't as important with Brady although it'd be stupid to totally downplay him. You still need to draft a WR early but you needed to do that even with Diggs.
That's as good as compensation as you'll get unfortunately.
They had a smothering defense and a great D coordinator to supplement a lesser offense though. We have McD. We know our D's going to get blown up in the playoffs like it always does.
With McD in charge of the D, we know we have to put together an offense that can score 30+, possibly 40+ in most of these games to make up for McD's shortcomings to have a shot to win it. Our offense doesn't have the luxury to do what Mahomes just did.

I love it!!!!.......finally got rid of that dead weight boat anchor
I'm fine with the trade but that's pretty unfair to call him a boat anchor. He was one of our best WR's ever. But it was probably time.
The real dead weight boat anchor is McDermott and we kept him.

Haha I remember watching some episodes of that show and not realizing we were supposed to like Ted. That dude would cheat on women but let himself off the hook because he's on his journey to find "the one" and conflated himself as being this great guy that's just so unlucky that he can't find her. At least Barney knew and admitted exactly who he was.
If anyone cares about my rant on a show that's like 15 years old or something in a thread about trading one of our best WR's ever.

Were we winning with McDermott with the last four playoff performancesby his defense?
I mean really it is past time especially with Belichick available.
Right, there's such a huge double-standard there. Like what about McD's horrific postseason chokejobs?
I'm not upset about the trade...but we would've been better off if we traded Diggs and fired McD.

McDermott Supporters and McDermott Detractors should suck it up and go to couples therapy. They rehash the same issues over and over--similar to what couples do.
A counselor can straighten that out once and for all.
If a counselor looked at it objectively, they'd say the McD detractors are of clear mind and and the McD supporters are irrational.
On 3/29/2024 at 2:47 PM, JerseyBills said:Wait, how do you come away from that and say it's a McDermott issue? I'm genuinely interested in your reasoning..
A. The ST coach should've called a squib, obviously.
.B. Frazier called the plays. But you claim it's a McDermott issue🙄
I said since that game that this was the main killer. They were so afraid of Reek from the series before that they went super, ultra soft coverage
But if the stoopid ST coordinator simply kicks a squib, we win.. smh.. that was so gut wrenching
The "Frazier called the plays" excuse is far and away the worst one out there.
McDermott is the Head Coach. If he doesn't like the way they are set up or what's being called, HE CAN CHANGE IT! People like yourself act like he was on the sidelines thinking "I really hate what we're doing here, but there's just absolutely nothing I can do. I'm just completely helpless to help the team or another coach".
It's mind-boggling that you guys think this way.

Vontae Davis for the score, I can’t take it anymore 🙁
I still think of that every time I hear “We didn’t start the fire”

Because he has hit on so many defensive picks esp. The DL and ignored giving our Franchise QB a 1st round talent at WR right?
But hey he is here to stay, so it is what it is.
I like Beane but I don’t know if I’d call him one of the best. Obviously he hit big on 17 and Josh has masked a lot of his other shortcomings.
Ultimately with an elite QB, which he did bring in to his credit, we haven’t won anything and have had 3 straight division round exits…the expectation should really be there to better than just stagnant.
But as with McD, I don’t think that exists. If we have a 4th straight early exit disappointment, I think we’ll probably see the same level of support.

Except for Rex Ryan, we're not very good at "not letting the guy out of the building"

Got the mobile alert from the Bills that we signed a "2-time Superbowl champion". This was the first guy I thought of.

If Mahomes was saddled with McD, I don’t think he’d have a SB. He’s just too big of an obstacle.

This is so gross on so many levels.
I'm not going to post how I really feel becuase this is not a forum for politics and I don't want any negative points.
I wouldn’t recommend the Politics forum either, it’s so toxic. Half the people there probably won’t comment on this because of which side the Governor is on (it would likely be the same if it was reversed) when it obviously shouldn’t matter. Wrong is wrong.

Ridiculous. I feel terrible for the family with the daughter with medical issues.
This governor is pure trash.

We need a center fielder type safety now so that eliminates guys like Chinn
He played for the Panthers though, so whether he's a good fit for the team or not, that alone places him at the top of our organization's list

We’re unfortunately going to see some bad players get big playing time here next season. Beane kind of cornered us into this.

Would he? McD should’ve been fired and he’s still here.
