Also true. Although he'd probably also blame Tyrod for the second loss to the Jets last year.
Even if we would of one that game we would be 8-8
That awkward moment when the guy you lead with hasn't played since 2012 and hasn't been a starter since 2006...
I meant Mathew Strafford.
Nice work transplant and Scott.
You think the coaches are going to cut a guy because of the fans, and not because of what they see?
According to what you guys are saying and hearing from the Media. It's like Cardale is just straight sorry. Why haven't they cut him yet then. I think he can beat out the rook and Yates for the 2 spot. But you fans are giving the rook so much credit. For 1 in college he beat Clemson which had many close games besides win the title. Jones comes off the bench and plays three hard games and wins against top ranked opponents. But now the rook is better from what I'm hearing from Taylor fans. So they might.
-
I think Cardale instead of the rook though. To me the rook is way behind C.J. Though he was drafted by this regime they seem to think otherwise. OTAs is without pads does not say anything. Henderson went from third string in OTAs his second year. They put in kujo. When the pads went on Henderson prevailed. Once again if they cut Cardale on speculation because the fans are do in love with the rook. It would continue our downfall.

Most of us watched each game in detail.
And poor play does happen without question.
I take a holistic view.
But i hope we both watch this season hoping Dennison can bring the best out of Taylor ? If his ceiling has been reached, we have two first round picks and Peterman who brings a different skillset.
Thing is, and i am fine admitting it. If Taylor cannot step it up a notch or 3 under this O coordinator, who is going to give Tyrod every chance to succeed then i wil say move on. I have no problem saying this is the year he makes or breaks. But i am not ready to say that today

Go Bills !

Taylor was 8th in the NFL in third and long conversion percentage on passing plays in 2016.
http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/leaders.asp?range=NFL&rank=047&type=Passing&year=
I can't find the numbers for 2015 at the moment, but I remember distinctly that in 2015 his numbers were even better. That website had the same numbers for 2015, but I can't find a link to those numbers for that year anymore. I probably have it somewhere, but if I recall correctly I think he was about fifth or sixth and third and long conversion percentage on passing plays in 2015.
Just think, for example, of that third and 24 or whatever yardage it was against Seattle with Taylor throwing a beauty to Robert Woods on the sideline for a conversion. Taylor is actually a QB you do want on third and long, probably because of the threat of him running as well. In 2015, I know that on passing plays where Taylor tucked the ball and ran (aka: scrambled) he converted 10 out of 16 of those third downs, which would actually increase his third down percentage in 2015 by more than 3% alone if those plays were factored in.
It's weird the way perception very often does not match reality when it comes to what Taylor has accomplished or even what he's good at.
Were the Jags any good???
it sparked my recollection how they divided the offense. and then there ya go, Scott shows us.
blanket statement. Quite a few folks have just made up there mind TT is NOT clutch.
I can feel the reasoning. But lets keep in mind who called the plays. He spent most of his Bills career running scripted play.
It was only after Lynn i saw him checking out of them with pre snap reads. or so it seemed
The Pitts game. That when he should of displayed his uniqueness and win the game. Everyone played in that game...
So now it's on the play calling ha ha ha. No budy he's just sorry when it comes to crunch time. These coaches are gonna look so bad. With him at QB...
-
Yeah, but when in the game. Not when it matters.
-
Kind of funny you ask this question because Taylor has been one of the best QBs on third and long over the last two years. That's actually a statistical fact.
-
David Carr played great. Dak Prescott played great.Wilson played great. Mathews played great. Their teams weren't 31st in passing. Receivers were open he did not hit them. Yes, he didn't turn the ball over he also probably has the record in incompletions, specially in clutch time. I we were ever down with 4min. We lost the game because we don't a QB to bring us back. We would have rallied and won the Pitts game if we had a good QB.
-
No we don't have a great QB. I never said we did. What we have is a pretty good QB. While QB is a big thing it isn't everything. If it were Drew Brees and Phillip Rivers wouldn't have such a terrible records over the last few years. Win, Win, Win, is the name of YOUR stat. Unfortunately that is a team stat, not a player stat.
There are only a few QBs in the league that can truly carry a team so well that the rest of the team doesn't matter. Unfortunately they don't come into the league often enough.
Yes, make the playoffs. I agree. If each individual player of the team played as well as Tyrod has they probably would of. Tyrod didn't play great, but the rest of the team, outside of a few players, played even worse. Why people want to put the blame of not making the playoffs on one player is beyond me. That's simple minded.
How did the "great" QBs do against those same bad teams. Those same bad teams that Tyrod did great against also played 15 other games each.
-
We have all this TT stats comparing them to other way better QBs. But we still have a losing season. Win, Win, Win is the name of the stat. Make the playoffs.
He did what he was suppose to do and did great against bad teams. Its not like we had a great team ourselves.
It's not like we had a great QB ourselves.
-
God, I hate myself for being that guy but they +29 against the 2-14 SF and +20 against the 1-15 Browns. Stats can be very misleading.
Tell me about it. People here think that stats against sorry teams will win you a Superbowl.
-
I didn't even know this. Turnovers have a high playoff correlation. Oakland's defense wasn't even that good so I would at least expect their takeaways to go down. If Kansas City's dropped to average that could be the difference between 11-5 and 6-10, they had a lot of close games.
Well this is the NFL. You have to win close games.
-
It's our loss in we let Cardale walk. Thinking that the rook is better. I hope that happens so I can laugh even harder. Cut a 6'5" second year man with a rocket arm, huge upside, great pocket poise. Over a 6'2" weak arm, can't even run. Now I'm surprised Yates is even in the league by luck. So again let them cut C.J. to make you happy.
-
Hence drafting someone else, and bringing in TJ yates. They wanted Cardale in so badly that they essentially planned to get rid of him.
-
[puts dollar in the jar]
They'll be better than the Bills...
-
I'm not just wanna make y'all happier by making up a lie. I'm saying he hit his ceiling. There is no maybe with 4 years under the belt with two starting. Like I said before. When a good QB that was on the bench gets to start he should leave no questions. Such as Warner,Brady Romo, Young,Gannon. The first year with some was a maybe that privileged him for a second year. Then there is no question of who should have been in there. With Tyrod was a pay cut and a maybe. Why??? Because there is a doubt. A lot of iffffs. So therefore be happy he will lead us to 12 game win season.
-
come on man. everyone is just showing you why your reasoning is wrong, and you throw a tantrum? most feel that tyrod is not the long term answer. he's an inexpensive, short term answer for this year unless he really shows us something we haven't seen yet...something i'm guessing most feel won't happen. just relax and see what happens this year. stop being so upset.
-
Ok guys Tyrod is gonna take us to the Super Bowl y'all happy with me like. He is the best we are going 12-4 win our division beat Brady (twice), Miami (twice), Denver, Carolina, New Orleans, Raiders, San Diego, chiefs. Thanks to the one and only Tyrod Taylor. HHAPPY!!!
-
I think he's trolling to get this thread closed maybe? I dunno.
-
Whats your explanation for his game against Miami week 16?
He could have made a few more first down. Extend a few more drives etc.
-
Ask the 15 teams tyrod beat the past two years if they fear him? Cause he beat them. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry teams.
-
Md might loose his job if he leaves Tyrod in there for that long. You'll see how the Media reacts specially the Buffalo writer. Which hate Tyrod.
-
I wanna let it be known how I feel. Unless we get Cardale in there we are sorry. Now tell me who can we actually beat this year with Tyrod???
-
I'm using a mobile other than that no excuses. I'm not Tyrod I don't need many excuses.
-
what are your excuses for not knowing how to use a very simple function on a message board.
dude...we get it. you don't like tt. we have no choice this year as fans, so move on. you make yourself look amazingly foolish every time you chime in. try another topic maybe?
