  1. In the last two seasons we had Clay, Watkins, Shady, Woods, Gillisle. They made the Playoffs with D.Carr's arm. They fear D Carr. They don't fear TT.

I find it kind of ironic that you count Tyrod's 4 years sitting on the bench (where he threw a grand total of like 35 passes in that entire 4 years, and was learning a completely different system than the one he ended up starting in, in Buffalo), yet you make no mention of Jim Kelly's years as a starting QB in the USFL after college, before he ever started a game in the NFL.

Kelley was drafted in '83, but never played a game for Buffalo until '86. He spent those years starting for the Houston Gamblers, where as Tyrod spent 4 years sitting on the bench. So which one was more prepared to start their NFL career? It's debatable.

I don't know if Tyrod will get much better than he is now, but it's not impossible like you seem to think. He's only started in the NFL for TWO YEARS. Not 6. If this new system fits him better, it's very possible that he could take a step forward.

But even if he doesn't, he is a serviceable starting QB until we draft and develop a true franchise caliber replacement, which is what you seem to be completely ignoring....

If we dump Tyrod, tell us, who do we replace him with right now that would be as good, let alone better? And don't say Cardale...

  2. New Orleans and Denver combined to be 16-16. Tyrod has a better record at 15-14 than the example that you used for "big wins." He has a receiver that has played in the Pro Bowl in each of his 1st 2 seasons (who was a top 4 pick), a running back back who played in the pro bowl in 1 of the last 2 seasons and another 1,000 yard receiver (who was a top 10 pick). Other than that he has no weapons.

    Are you Jimmy Spags?

  3. 6-10 and that's pushing it with the strongest BullDozer. We ain't beating Denver, Carolina, Miami(twice), Pats(twice), Falcons, Raiders, Jets once Chargers etc......... Md might even get fired for Taylor. We'll see guys we'll see.

They don't respect our passing game.

  4. Did we make the playoffs we lost more game in year two. Under .500. He is an 8-8 QB at Super Best. Stats aren't crap unless you win and making the players aroun you better. Sammy was "like the passing game needs to get better", Rob Woods didn't even bother to try and resign. Again 8-8 his first year 7-9 his second year. Now you wanna give him the last Jets game 8-8 in two seasons. That is real good. David Carr is the one that is no good compared to Taylor.

  5. I guess what we keep coming back to you say things like they will lose, yet he has won more games than he has lost. Saying things doesn't make it true. The facts say that the Bills were a top 12 scoring offense and top 10 DVOA each of the last two years. There are 32 teams. They are in the top 1/3. None of that is subjective or debatable. It's not some fake optimism or anything, that's just what it is.

  6. I don't know why I'm even bothering to respond to this, but...

What good teams did Carr have a 4th quarter comeback against?

Hint - They only beat 4 teams with records over .500 all year and beat no 10 win teams.

He beat Denver, New Orleans he made the playoffs so what up. With no big name weapon. The big weapon he has is his armmmmmm. He will kill you with his arm. The DCs fear David Carr. They don't fear TT. TT can't even be in the same QB room with him and he is only two years in. I do not think it's ok to even try to compare.

  7. People are getting way too hung up on the 3 and out stuff.

First of all, football is a team sport. 3 and out percentages shouldn't reflect on the QB ONLY. When the **Pats go 3 and out, do we automatically place the blame on Tom Brady? No. The QB is responsible, as is the WR(s), RB/FB, TEs, linemen, and coaches.

And I'm not one to take away certain things that happened in order to paint a different picture, statistically, but I get where transplant is coming from. 25th to 14th is a nice improvement. Perhaps that was due in large to a change in approach by Lynn. But the improved number also shouldn't reflect on the QB only. Team sport.

I tell you this TT does not worry any average dc around the league. He is easy to stop. He will do one or two things then when they stock the box and make him pass. Automatic loss for the Bills.

  8. How about Payton Manning from year one to year two? TT has been here for 6 yearsssssssssssssssssss. Quit trying to make an excuse or a comparison to guys that were rookies or second year in the league. A true starter when given a chance prevail and leaves no question he's the starter.

What about when EJ was here? You must have really hated that guy.

  9. Yes, I am because TT ain't good. Carr has a bad defense but was still able to lead his team to where TT can't. Now what good weapons does he got? Not a great rb and he still succeeded. How many comebacks against good teams. A lot. How many 200 drives to win the game. Ok thank TT is light years away from all that.

Jim Kellys first 2 seasons with the Bills 36 TD's and 32 INT's

Tyrod Taylors first 2 seasons with the Bills 37 TD's and 12 INT's

Who had the best supporting cast and coaching staff?

As a rookie gentleman. 6 years you are not a rookie.

  10. He's won 15 games and lost 14. The other guys to start with the same team are 0-3. 2 of those 3 losses were against teams that won 5 games.

I am not saying that he is great. He is okay but light years ahead of our other options. That's not debated around the league. It will be Tyrod in 2017 and he will either end up as THE guy or they will be taking a 1st rounder in 2018. Those are the realistic options.

  12. TT is not good. He can't throw the ball. When Fitz was here I did not want Fitz because he was sorry. He went and started with 6-7 different teams after the fact and he still sorry. Once again that's why they are back ups. There has only been a few back ups that have actually succeeded as starters. Young, ( don't even compare). Rich Ganon, Warner, Brady, Romo etc. Now for your info once these QB hit the field there was not even a question. Now TT needs 7 years to prove it. Yeah he's good. Right........

  13. Most of what you said is so far off that I am not even going to bother trying to address it.

But, as for my excuses - tell me, what excuses did I make for Tyrod in my post? I did not see any.

And as for you're "I told you so" comment - I am rooting for Tyrod because he is the Bills starting QB and I want the Bills to be successful. I could care less about your "I told you so". What are you, 12? Should we all say "I told you so" if/when Cardale ends up most likely getting cut (or is at best our 4th string QB), and is out of the NFL in a matter of a few years, while Tyrod will still be a starter or backup somewhere for many years to come?

I won't bother though because it's childish, and nobody cares about some random poster on a message board who wants to act like they know everything... and I am also not rooting against Cardale because he is a Buffalo Bill, therefore I want him to succeed. I would never root against an active Buffalo Bills player because I am an actual Buffalo Bills fan.

You are clearly not a true Blls fan. You'd rather have Tyrod fail so you can say "I told you so" than have him succeed and, in turn, have the Bills succeed.

I didn't realize that you were BuffaloBud420 though, so I'm done now. It's pointless even trying to have a discussion with you.

  14. I don't root for people that can't play. I do not feel bad because TT is a professional and needs to make plays on the clutch. He has not done that against good teams. He can't throw the ball. That's why like the Buffalo writer said, we should of let him walk. He hurts us more than he benefits us.200 yards passing and a loss. I'm tire of watching them loose when they could have won. I am a fan and I know football. Once again I don't care what you do with the offense, once the defense adjusts to what he's doing it's over and we better hope the defense saves. Therefore, he's sorry in my book.
