  1. Enough with the Kelly worship.

Edwards CANNOT be like Kelly if we want to win a super bowl.

    He needs to be BETTER.

    WHY?

Because Edwards isn't likely to ever be surrounded with the all-pros Kelly played with.

Edwards is going to have to do what Kelly could not do and he will have to do it with a lesser team.

If Kelly went 0-4 with the offense he had, then he certainly wouldn't come out with a win playing on a lesser team, even if he had ten kicks at the can.

Yeah, Kelly was such a master at audibles that he went 0-4 in superbowls.

Kelly couldn't have asked for a stronger supporting cast, fact is, he simply wasn't a QB capable of winning super bowls.

Kelly wasn't good enough, Edwards needs to go to a level beyond Kelly.

I believe I see the point you're trying to make. You could say the same thing by stating "Dan Marino needed to be better than Bob Griese in order to win the superbowl.". Kelly was a great QB but did not win the big game. If I remember correctly, a lot of Bills' player's performances came up short during the superbowl (see Bruce Smith, i.e.) If Kelly had such a great supporting cast and they win and lose as a team, then maybe the Bills as a team and the strength of their superbowl opponent had just as much to do with being 0-4 as Kelly's performance.

I say that the Bills, not just Edwards, need to be better than those teams of the '90s.

  2. Ha, shoulda known nobody would have anything logical to say against me.

I guess I'll give it a shot. I believe our defense will hold you guys to under 100 yds on the ground and to 17 pts or less. Trent Edwards will have another efficient day (72% completion w/no ints) and Lynch will have his first 100 yd game. I'm also prediciting a special teams TD for the Bills.

  3. All seriousness aside, I'm a bit concerned with our pass rush (or lack of) against San Diego. I believe LT can be reasonably contained by our D but if we can't get the heat on Rivers, I think it's gonna be a long game. Your thoughts?

  4. Reed and Parrish are nice slot guys but nothing more. The fact that we don't have a legit #2 receiver opposite Lee Evans is going to bite us in the a$$ soon. I'm surprised it hasn't yet. Outisde the TD catch against Jax, Hardy has shown absolutely nothing. I don't buy into the rookie WR excuse. Good players manifest themselves immediately, and we haven't heard a peep from Hardy with the season 1/4 over. Lord help us if Lee goes down. ;)

    True that!

  5. I watched the very end of the game and thought I saw Jack DelRio running down the sideline toward the locker room. The camera followed him briefly and then cut to Dick Jauron heading toward mid-field for the "traditional" coach's handshake.

Am I missing something? Why didn't DelRio go out to mid field to shake hands with the Bills' coach and some of the players?

I thought Bellichick was an A-hole for snubbing other coaches but is DelRio getting a free pass here.

I am PO'd -- and now even MORE glad we put DelRio's team into an 0 - 2 grave.

After watching his team cough up a turd, maybe he had to go vomit.

  6. I live in Vancouver, Washington and my neighbor, who's a big Seahawks fan, and I are watching the game at a local sports bar. I am f*cking pumped up for this one! I may need to bring a box of tissue for all the Seattle fans.

    Buffalo 20

    Seattle 13
