As to #3, how realistic is it that a 5th round pick would’ve made an impact. It’s possible but despite Fromm not working out, I can’t fault Beane for trying to find a diamond in the rough and/or following their draft board

Sure. Just my opinion. I was sold on Josh, so the thought of potentially getting another Milano type or a good 5th rounder in general (someone who actually gets playing time) vs someone that's gonna be sitting behind josh not getting playing time

What is there to like about Davis Webb?  I never want to see him take the field in a Bills uniform.

Jake Fromm had an excellent college career.  Never understood the crap many Bills fans gave him.  And if I am a Giants fan I sure as hell hope Jake Fromm has more game then Daniel Jones has.  Because Jones' performance last Monday nite against the Bucs was atrocious.

    1. Idk because I like Davis Webb.

    2. When the media took videos of training camp practices, it was always Allen and Webb having fun racing and joking around.

    3. Jake Fromm has a noodle arm, and so does Webb, but I think Davis Webb is smarter (from reports by media in the past)

    4. Fromm is JAG and a waste of a 5th round pick that could have been utilized elsewhere imo so I naturally don't like that.

you think that's a terrible take, it's a fact, but no comment on a 4-4-3 defensive alignment?  3 in the secondary will take away the run, but of course there will be a lot of passing yards surrendered.

It's a fact with no context. It doesn't explain the Bills really easy schedule and it doesn't explain the terrible QBs the Bills have been fortunate to play against.

The reason it's a terrible take is because it was said as if there is no issue at all with the defense.

I've said it elsewhere, what I think can help the run defense get better.

  4. Has anybody noticed when Zach Wilson is playing for the Jets, NFL.com just completely craps the bed and doesn't show his stats? I've never seen this ever but I I noticed it the beginning of the year.

He gets injured so I forget about it. Went to check his stats today on the NFL app and there is no passing statistics.

Is it maybe the NFL app on my.phone?

They gave up yards to the two best running backs in the NFL.   In 11 games, they've given up fewer than 80 yards in eight of them.

Running backs are not as good without offensive lines. See Barkley, Saquon.

Nope. You still didn't say anything at all. Why don't you take a moment and describe to us how and why, in your opinion, they struggled against the Titans and then the Colts - and whether those "struggles" can be fixed and how. Now that would not be a lazy take.

I've said multiple times that the bills have strugged most of the times against mauling type offensive lines.

My opinion on fixing that is bigger 1techs and 3techs.

I specifically wanted Alim McNeil this year in the draft.

It's just easy to say, "the Bills can't run the ball and they can't stop the run."  Kind of like it was easy to say, "Josh Allen is inaccurate."

    Welcome to www.lazynarratives.com

I'm not saying they can't stop the run. There's nuance, and just throwing up a stat that doesn't accurately reflect a team that historically does bad against big mauling type offensive lines and having the one of the easiest schedules this year is the lazy take.

It's not a terrible take, or a "take" at all. It's the truth. The Bills are top 5 in yards per game and yards per attempt.

And the fans come on here and spout nonsense about having 1 CB on the field or moving our nickel corner to the boundary? It shows a hilarious lack of understanding of how football works.

The Bills also have one of the easiest schedules this year.  So I don't put much weight in that. But power to you

Yeah, no-shows against the Colts. Star and Edmunds. Total no-shows, it was like they weren't even on the field. Oh, wait, they didn't actually play. No wonder they were no-shows.

As for the Titans, they had that one long long run, but except for that one play, which appeared to be greatly due to Hyde taking a bad angle, the Bills were actually pretty decent against the run. Not great, certainly, and you can't just pretend that the big play didn't happen. But you absolutely can say that for most of the game they were not destroyed by the run. They were certainly not no-shows.

Oh right, star and Edmunds are the saviors. We'll just ignore all the other games where big offensive lines dominated us.   They help, but in their years on this team, there are more than just a game or two where we've gotten ran all over.
