  1. What's happening right now is the perfect situation for the Bills, we will options. We will have cap room, a stockpile of draft picks, and possibly a solid starting QB in TT.

This front office set us up perfectly for the future.

Fully agree. Taylor has improved which gives you the luxury of still drafting a QB without having to start day one. This team still needs playmakers. Need to upgrade LB core. Like Milano but not sure about starting. Need a WR stud, DT, CB depth and then fill in with BPA. Lots of flexibility right now for the Bills.

Ridiculous to think how Rex bombed at coaching this team!

#Bills HC Sean McDermott said Richie Incognito will practice on a limited basis.

How can he feel good about it? Our depth in the entire secondary is atrocious. Wright gets lit up on a routine basis. Does he not see that?

IMO this is what kills the Bills. We continue to parlay the belief that our starters will play a full 16 game season and then have UDFA typically behind them.

#Bills HC Sean McDermott on the depth at cornerback without EJ Gaines: "I feel good about it."

Ryan Groy and John Miller have taken reps in place of Incognito. #Bills

  3. Why move either? Do we expect to hit on 6 draft picks next year and they all contribute immediately Why keep creating more holes to fill. Dareus still gets doubled team freeing up the LB. Same with Miller. Incognito isn't getting younger. Kyle will probably retire. Right now besides drafting a QB, you need LB, WR, RB and lots of depth. Unless a team backs the truck up....doesn't make sense IMO.

  4. The Bengals game was tough. Going in no one thought it would be easy. Many of those complaining now picked the Bills to Lose. Shareece Wright is not as good as Gaines. Mabin is skilled but dropped a timely INT and got a bad PI on third and long. Humber and Matthews were both big contributors to the early success their absence was noticeable. The biggest loss was Clay. He has been the go to guy all year. Even with the injuries the team was in position to win a tough road game. They came up short like in Carolina. The bye comes at a good time to get healthier and get some young guys up to speed. Imo the next game will be a window into Mcdermott as a coach. Good coaches take advantage of time off and extra preparation time. Ried and Hoody always make the most of it. The season is 4 quarters next 3 games to round out the 2nd Quarter are Tampa, Oak and @NYJ. Buffalo should win 2 of the 3 and could easily win all 3. They do that they are now 5 and 3 or 6 and 2.

If the Bills are going to have a solid season, these next three games will define it. Go 3-0 and game on. Go 1-2, then my gut says bench TT, go with Peterman and prepare for next year. IMO at this point it's either playoffs or tank. If we go 1-2 put a fork in us. However, 3-0 is very doable assuming we can figure out the run game and score some TD's!

  5. Bills had one sack yesterday. Who got it?

I haven't disagreed with much with regard to McDermott, but his treatment of Dareus is pathetic and I think it's stupid.

At this point, McD is cutting his skinny little Michael Jackson nose off to spite his face.

Agree. If Dareus doesn't play significant time after the bye I really question McDermott. If Glenn and Dareus are healthy after the bye, they both should be in the starting line up. It's not like these guys are average players.

  6. This is why the Bills continue to chase their own tails. Last year Glenn and Miller were solid. But now their not starting material. So let's cut them and draft their replacements. Just running in place. And don't let facts get in the way. Last year one of the top running teams and this year near the bottom. No wonder we have below average WR's and no depth at TE. We either don't resign them or cut them only to see them be successful next year. So frustrating!

  7. Most likely this is what will happen.

I agree as well. IMO, today was a prime example of the Bills doing what they have done in the past. They failed to do anything to upgrade the roster and instead just roll out whoever. The lack of WR talent on this roster is embarrassing and outside of Clay the TE talent is below average as well. Sure the Defense has improved but the offense has gone backwards. Sitting Glenn, having Miller non active and starting Ducasse are major head scratchers against a good Bengal DL. Is it really surprising the run game struggled yet again. This was a very winnable game and could of been a huge step forward. They would of had a two game lead in the division. My gut still tells me Beane and McDermott really aren't all in this year. If they win great but I really don't think that is the core objective this season. Hope I'm wrong but this game reminded me too much of the past.

  8. That's where I'm torn, if we have a strong season, then my gut tells me to use the majority of the picks strengthning the roster. I.E....WR, OLB, TE, DT, RB and then in the future go all in for the QB as a best case scenario. If we get it right thru the draft in 2018, you're in great position to give up a first to get your guy in 2019 if needed.

  9.

I'm not sure that Baltimore isn't on the list.....

Agree, I knew I probably missed a few. My point was some teams may reload with another stud QB for years to come while we continue to spin with average QB play based upon a winning season in what is deemed as a QB rich draft unless you give up the farm and then some to move up.

  10. What an exciting start out of the gate! However, if the Bills go 10-6 or 11-5, that puts them in a difficult position. Even with a stock of draft picks, there will be numerous teams ahead of us looking for a QB. Obviously the past 17 years has been frustrating but do you have any concerns if we make the playoffs how that could impact us long term at the QB position? At this point, you could list the following teams finishing with worse record looking for a QB:

Cleveland, Jets, AZ, San Fran, Miami, San Diego, Jax, Vikings and New Orleans

  11. Agree about releasing Williams. Trying to understand the value add T Jones brings over what JW brought. Partially get the Watkins decision.

However, my gut tells me McDermott and Beane didn't expect the team to gel this quickly and the defense to rise up. I fully believe they were planning for the future, stock piling picks while reducing cap space.

Making the playoffs this year would be amazing but I don't want it to be a one year wonder while impacting long term success. Our WR and LB core need huge upgrades. Unless Dareus steps up you need two DT's. Enjoying the success but it's a long season. Getting to 4-1 will be huge going into the bye week.

  12. I want the playoff drought to end this year. If they get to 4-1 at the bye 10-6 seems realistic. Cautiously optimistic but with tempered expectations. Key injury to Shady, Clay or TT changes the outlook quickly. If they can stay healthy, I like our chances.

However, the Bills still need to get a long term QB IMO. From that regard having KC and us making the playoffs creates some drafting challenges for moving up.

  13. Great win! After 17 years will take them anyway we can. Nice to see Bills learning how to win close games.

Will be nice to have a healthy Dareus, Shaq, Gaines and Glenn back after the bye week. Getting to 4-1 would be great. Gotta take care of business at Cinncy.

Worried about the injuries to Humber and Matthews.

A+ for the 1st quarter of the season but gotta follow it up for 3 more quarters!!!!

Also looks like Maclin made a bad choice going to the Ravens. Would of fit great in Buffalo!
