Anticipated changes in philosophy/scheme in 2025?

Not a throw-away topic at all.  I feel this is what stops us in the playoffs every year.  The Bills are a great team and they beat everyone during the Regular Season, but they falter in the playoffs, in my opinion, due to a lack of offensive and defensive creativity.  No new wrinkles in the playoffs while our opponents throw stuff at the Bills they've never seen before.  Babich and Brady need to get more creative. Belichick used to mix-it-up all the time, confounding opponents.  Ready for Brady's aerial assault?  Only to see the Pats run it down your throat.  The Bills need a little of this!  Some trick plays too.  Not insane ones like the fiasco in Baltimore last year, just a WR pass back to Josh, a half-back option, etc . . . On Defense, some creative blitzes - like the one KC dialed up last year to hurry the late-game pass from Josh to Kincaid - they'd never seen that before.

Well said. IMO, Andy Reid is constantly adding new wrinkles throughout the season. I feel like the NFL is far too conservative, but I’d like to to see the Bills incorporate the use of more laterals when applicable to keep the defense on their toes. Imagine trying to stop Josh in the open field and right as you are getting ready to tackle him he pitches it. Incorporate a little rugby lateral :)

  2. *Taron torn labrum

    *Kincaid torn PCL

*Carter and Smoot both needed wrist surgery.
    *Josh had fractured finger(s)

    *Coleman and Cooper wrist injuries

    *Samuel had turf toe

    *Rapp and Benford concussions

Curious what other injuries we had last season?

  3. Forgot how the Bills could have really gone up 20-7 late in the 2nd qtr but two bad plays, they let KC right back into it. After a big punt return to KC’s 40 yard line, Josh threw a brutal pass to Samuel on 2nd and 9 that would have gone for a big gain. Then after a Josh’s scramble, they elected to go for it on 4th and 3. Josh threw a bad interception as Knox and him weren’t on the same page. Rather than going up 20-7, KC scored a TD to go up 14-13. As we all know, the Bills would win but it was a stark reminder, how the Bills have to get cleaner in their execution if they want to win it all. Ultimately, the lack of execution is what cost them getting to the SB last year.

KC simply has executed better against us when it’s mattered  in the playoffs.

  4. Today’s OTA’s reminded me how much our roster has changed since last season. With nine draft picks, combined with 8 key FA signings, I’m hopeful we’ve gotten stronger and better.

Bosa, Moore, Tre White and Dane Jackson would be a huge bonus if they contribute this season. All come with questions though!

IMO, Forrest, Palmer, Hoecht and Ogunjobi must contribute if the Bills are gonna take the next step.

Regarding the rookies, if the Bills can get at minimum 4 to 5 players that make the active roster, they are in really good shape going forward.

Couple that with a significant step forward from Coleman, Bishop and Carter while having a healthy Milano and you can see why the Bills are a major contender.

It will be interesting to see how the coaching staff evolves/adjusts with their offensive and defensive philosophy. I hope the staff makes some 4th and short adjustments besides always sneaking to the left side and defensively stunt more than just a 4 man bull rush while playing 10 yards off the receivers.

Besides our core, who are your must contribute immediately players from the draft and FA signings?

  5. Disappointing yes, but I’ll go with the glass half full approach. It does allow him a wider window to continue fully recovering. Missing OTA’s isn’t the end of the world. Hoping he’s ready to go when it truly matters.

I am on the young side of middle aged. A friend of ours turned us on to the Wings lot years ago and we haven't looked back.

Great tailgating atmosphere, but on the family friendly side. Real bathrooms. A bar inside with TV's if that's your vibe. Easy exit. But a little bit of a hike.

Once in a while we'll park at Hammers, get closer, or head over early and hit a more rowdy lot.

Where is the Wings lot located at? Coming to Buffalo for when we play the Saints.

Im doing Falcons, bye week, Panthers.  Im considering my annual home game the Pats game…the week before.  That would be 3 games in a row.

We’re booked for the home game against the Saints and plan to go to the ATL and Carolina games as well since we live in ATL. However, decent seats for those two games are outrageously high right now.

  8. For BillsMafia located in the Southeast, what is your approach for tickets. Do you wait to closer to the game or buy early. I was looking at ticket prices and they are insanely priced.

Curious on any best practices. We live in the north suburbs of Atlanta only need tickets.

    TIA

The Falcons MNF game is speculated to be part of a Double Header  Bears at Commanders

Living in Atlanta I was hoping for a Sunday game. I wonder if Atlanta is hoping to minimize BillsMafia taking over Atlanta with having it on MNF?

very unlikely to happen. Interesting to consider though.  Week 17 Battle for the 1 seed?  League trying to help us lol

the game is a virtual lock to be CBS National Game of year at 4:25, unless network picks rotate in some fashion

I’d prefer we play KC and Baltimore mid season vs end of season. I’m not a fan of  beating up on each other right before the playoffs.

  11. The Bears have had a solid offseason and draft. They have a better coaching staff, have surrounded Caleb with a solid group in the skill positions. Defensively, they gotten better and play a last place schedule. With all that said, I don’t know if it’s enough to jump ahead of Detroit and Green Bay.

Within the AFCE, NE on paper got better and should be more competitive. Feels like the Jets and Dolphins stayed the same. Vrabel will elevate the culture in NE and in Miami there seems to be a lot of questions. Assuming the Bills stay healthy, they should win another AFCE title.

  12. If Hancock shows well early and picks up the safety position, I’m keeping Dane at CB and then it comes down to Cam or Hamlin. Knowing Cam is a stronger ST contributor, Hamlin could be cut.  Hancock and Cam would both have flexibility at S or the Nickel.

Wondering if they have any intention on leveraging Hawes as a FB/TE combo? If so Gilliam’s roster spot is likely gone. Then at TE, you go with Kincaid, Knox and Davidson.

As others have stated, I wouldn’t be surprised if Beane moves a few individuals for picks.
