  1. I would love to see Braelon Allen, RB, mid round on the Bills. 6’2” 240 lbs 20 years old. Between Cook and him, we’d have a great one two punch combined with Josh’s running ability it would just add addt pressure to the opposing D. The kid avg 5.9 yds per carry and can catch out of the backfield.

  2. Is it just me that feels like 99% of the Bills game on the NFLN are games the Bills lose? Recently, they’ve had the MNF game against TN, the AZ Hail Mary game, against KC, against Cinncy and now the 99 TN playoff game.

On the other hand, it make me so frustrated that the vast majority of these games, the Bills had NO business losing!!!!!

  3. Glad to see Beane addressing WR in FA. I still contend and hope we add a dynamic playmaker at WR early in the draft. Someone that stretches the field but yet is strong over the middle as well.

Wondering who is taking over kick off and punt returns on the roster?

I am not sure.  It is just a name that will not go away when I ask friends if they have heard anyone connected to the Bills.  Would fit what I think they are looking at

Doesn’t really move the needle. More of let’s dumpster dive hoping we get lucky and he realizes his potential in Buffalo. Didn’t we just try that with Harty and Sherfield?

  5. With Harty released and now Gabe signing with the Jags, what is the strategy/approach for WR? Are we going dumpster diving in Free Agency and then hoping we hit in the draft at WR?

Our current roster is Diggs, Shakir, Sherfield and Shorter (inactive all season). Currently not scaring anyone and probably in the bottom 10 as a WR group.

Anyone else uncomfortable? That’s a lot of pressure to hit on WR that is impactful in the draft! Do we trade up?

Thoughts or perspective on Beane’s approach?

  6. Good for Gabe. Wish him all the best unless he’s playing the Bills. He’s a total team player, hard worker and liked in the locker room.

Our WR core needs significantly addressed as its Diggs, Shakir and Sherfield right now!

  7. For all the success they’ve had, the lack of true playmakers/difference makers combined with questionable coaching in crucial situations has kept them from getting over the hump.

Offensively, outside of Josh, no one else puts additional pressure on the D. It’s a well rounded unit but they need reliable playmakers! They have a lot of solid players but need to add a few more studs!

Defensively, we lack a true shutdown corner, our DL goes AWOL far too often and no one requires a double team.  It continues to show up in the playoffs against good teams.

This years draft is critical for Beane to get right. He needs to hit on WR, DL and S with players that make an immediate impact. No two year ramp up!

  8. The Bills need significant impactful upgrades at WR, DE and S. This is a huge draft by Beane for the long term success of the franchise. He needs to hit on the first three picks. The misses on Ford, Moss, Boogie and Elam in the early rounds has caused Beane to reinvest draft capital and FA’s to get it addressed which has created a domino impact of not addressing other positions.

Center is another position that could be in play if the right player is available.

At the end of the day, expecting to shutdown offenses in the modern NFL is unrealistic. The team needs to add more playmakers on offense!

  9. We can debate this all we want but KC makes plays when they need to while Buffalo has squandered multiple playoff chances the past few years or they’d be exactly where KC is. From a talent level, both teams are pretty equal overall. However, IMO, it’s more about coaching and scheme.

KC rarely makes bad coaching decisions and they play great situational football. I’m always amazed how Mahomes is throwing to wide open receivers compared to Josh. They also do a solid job of in game adjustments. This is where I want McDermott and Brady to raise the bar this offseason!
