Just spoke in person with a former Bill from our glory days (not giving his name-sorry). He felt our coach and GM are handling this all wrong. He felt the message the coach and GM are sending to current players is that this year is a wash. He said that is a poor way to build a team (he also said that they are turning loyal fans away). He went into detail about how they should have called in each player for an interview about where they were going to get a feel if they were a fit or not. He is not sure our current regime has done this. I take his opinion seriously because he used to play.
Tell this former player that it's not week 1 yet and to chill the hell out.

Okay McBeane head, please explain why McDermott unequivocally states that Taylor is the Bills' starting QB.
Because he's the starter as of right now. Doesn't mean that won't and shouldn't change.
You like Tyrod. I get it. You can't sit there and say he's a franchise/elite QB. No way you can convince me. We've seen enough from him. Time to move on.

You can think whatever you want about preseason games with lineup experimentation, missing starters, and no game planning. Knock yourself out.
People have been using the "preseason" excuse to defend crapy QB play since Kelly left.
Real franchise guys look good in preseason and the season. The excuses for Tyrod Taylor are getting sickening.

Bring back Fred Jackson to play QB. That TD pass in Tennessee several years ago was a thing of beauty.

The only reason there might not be one is McBeane is trying to not totally run off the fan base and let them THINK this 6 win at best team, is actually trying to win. Hell they both know this team isn't doing crap this year. They are just trying to not further upset the locker room or fanbase.
Next offseason TT is gone and we will draft a starting QB in the first round.

If they want to run this system they should really trade Tyrod and start Peterman all year. Makes no sense trying to fit Tyrod in a system where the QB is under center 80% of the time.

I've been in and around the game my whole life. You don't win by getting rid of your best talent or by tanking.
You stockpile talent and picks which we already have. We couldn't even go 2-14 when we had no talent . Sorry but it isn't happening. We have enough ammo to zero in and grab our guy top 10.
Darnold, Rosen and Allen ALL don't have to declare. I bet 2 won't
