Yes it’s does fall on McD too an extent first off they made the decision to eat clock on that drive score and leave as little clock left for Mahomes and company. Once the 2 min warning arrived I told my buddies on the chat this should be 4 down territory with 2nd and 9 at around the 20yd line we needed to run the ball preferably with Josh he was gashing them all day with 5/6yds a pop u run force KC to use there timeouts u can’t rely on a shaky kicker to tie the game u have to play to win at that point leaving as little time as possible for KC . A tie at that point puts us in big jeopardy of losing that game our defense was getting torched all day long we had no answers for KC so knowing your Defense and kicker are struggling u have to have a feel for situational football and McD doesn’t have it.. So yes this game falls on him once again .

So a few injuries at linebacker and we are going to excuse this horrible defensive performance?

0 sacks today.. Full D line was healthy

He got his ass handed to him again by Andy Reid, just call a spade a spade

The Chiefs didn't sack Allen either.  They lost by 3 points he didn't hand him his ass.  It sucks big time but it wasn't coaching.

    That part isn't on McD.

    But what about the defence?

Only reason there wasn't 40 plus points against his defence was because the bills offence controlled the clock.

Did no one see this coming when Dorian Williams and AJ Klein were starting at linebacker?   When their best edge rusher never came back from an injury worth a damn?

    They lost by 3 points!

Meh, a defensive specialist with a horrific defense is not that fun.

Marrone got saddled with EJ two years in a row, and had to freak out on Doug Whaley to get an upgrade in Kyle Orton in year 2.

I suppose if you consider those defenses horrid.   They were not great, but they weren't horrid.  They were middle of the road in points given up.

Marrone had EJ, but it was his job to develop the kid and he didnt.  Then when he didnt do that he quit on the franchise.   Would never call that quitter the 2nd best coach of anything.

  5. Part of me wants to be an active participant in another teams season just to see if it's this weird.  In the last two seasons alone we've had

Punt God's lawsuit and release from the team, Kim Pegula medical situation, John Murphy stroke, Damar Hamlin getting CPR on the field, A dude doing multiple drugs covering himself in feces and climbing into the pit, Going 6-6 and having reports about the Coach taking positives from 9/11, Six game win streak people are convinced is because of feces dude, fan gets killed outside a Dolphins win.  Now Peppa Pig is somehow involved.

Bills football is like a Ken Kesey experiment with background music by Frank Zappa and Yoko Ono.

Someone is going to die in the pit aren't they?

Technically, Whaley was the GM. But if you look at the 2017 Draft - the way in which it was handled, the type of players selected, and how quickly Whaley was let go after the Draft - it's pretty clear it was at most, just Whaley's board with McDermott selecting the guys he wanted.

100% agree.  Whaley may have been handling the phone calls but it's very clear McDermott was running the Draft.   Pretty sure McDermott only came here if Whaley was on his way out.

This is kind of like if we bring McD back if we lose to the Chiefs again

Both guys just won their divisions and took their teams to the playoffs.  Only 8 teams in the league can say that.   It could be a lot worse.

  8. It amazes me the crap some coaches get.   McCarthy is far from Vince Lombardi, but I think he's shown he can win in two different organizations.   He's gotten a higher winning percentage out of Dak Prescott than Jason Garrett did, and he's won the NFC East both years fragile Dak was able to play full or close to full seasons.   He has the same win percentage and same number of Super Bowl wins as Sean Payton and for some reason he gets a let less slack.    Only 11 coaches in the league (yes there are vacancies) have better win percentages than McCarthy.

Again, I dont think he is great but I also dont think he is half as bad as people make him out to be.  The Rodgers stuff, and the sheep like nature of people's opinions have really done this guy in.    Somehow someone like Robert Saleh has a better reputation than McCarthy.    The real problem with Dallas is they are a constant hype machine, that isnt elite at the QB position.   McCarthy is decent but he cant overcome Dak's shortcomings.

Keep in mind that playoff ref crews are not the same as the regular season.

Hochuli doesn’t have his same crew as he did during the Philly flag massacre.

He has a mixed crew of men and women who were assigned this game based on how well did they did in the regular season.

In theory, these are the best of the best refs, as all refs in the divisional round are eligible for the Super Bowl assignment.

My hope win or lose, is the refs dont play a part in the game.  From what I've seen they've let the teams play football.   Chiefs are a difficult enough opponent already.

  10. For those interested in Hochuli stats for the respective teams, but QB starts and since Reid and McDermott took over the teams.  Quick and dirty here, stats are rounded up.  For anyone wanting to look further into this here is his stat page Houchli Stats

The thing that stood out for me was the Bills record and differential in Bills win loss record and penalties called against the Bills vs opponents when Hochuli is the lead ref.    Very curious to see how this one turns out.  Chiefs are a very good team with or without the percieved help.
