yep... go get Burden; I could see big baller Beane doing this for sure. Burden is fabulous.
Question not a criticism, isnt Burden a slot WR?

Not a boycott really but I think I'll skip this year. I have a little football fatigue. If Mahomes wins this one he or Brady has won 7 of the last 9 Super Bowls.
-
The Bills have paid him close to 3.5 million dollars a sack. Let that sink in and then try and tell me he shouldnt be cut.
-
The argument you're making is better suited for Kelly over Allen. The AFL had 8 teams, and they werent even the best teams playing football at that time. Allen will end up being the best Bills player period. Sadly, he is playing in the same conference as a quarterback who has the potential to be the best player ever.

My hope is they go get a elite defensive end or wideout in trade when the league year opens. That's my hope.
What is more likely is they either release Von or make him take a paycut. Smiley is toast as well.

You have a guy leading that organization who has coached football longer than I've been alive and I am going to be 42 in March. Between he and Spags they have 77 years of coaching experience. They've seen it all. They know the right move all the time. Very hard to overcome that.

The NFL will eventually have the same fate as the NBA right now. People are already partially tuning out. Ratings are dropping from previous year, although slightly, but still dropping. The constant additions of games to Europe and now South America, very similar to the NBA adding so many European players and adding European rules, on top of players taking games off for rest has, as well as the officials heavy involvement in games has watered down the NBA to almost unwatchable status and their ratings have been in steep decline.
Add 18 games and we will see star players doing the same as the NBA and take games off.
I agree. They will eventually add players to the roster making the talent level lower as well. I love the Bills and football in general but how many games are too many.
-
Two teams will get byes. Once the NFL adds an 18th game in the next few years I imagine they will add another wild card to each confernce. It will water down the product and make for useless games but they will make more money.

Always the bridesmaid, never the bride.
if the dude requested a trade I wouldn’t hold it against him one bit. I’d follow him to another team and could maybe leave this abusive relationship behind
Well hopefully he goes to the Chiefs because he is currently on the only team that has beat them in the last season and a half.

Give the state of the team at the time it happened and the money it cost them Von is the worst free agent signing in Bills history.

Josh Allen had a bit to do with them giving up 29 points, his two throws to Hollins were other worldly. Both of them in the "How in the hell did he do that" category.
Fully agree. Hollins' catch was something to behold as well.

The difference is Mahomes' defense, coaching, passing catchers and line helped him out yesterday. By your own admission, Josh's didn't.
I agree with you there. Aside from his defense giving up 29 points.

I genuinely still don’t get this take at all unless people shut the game off after the first drive lol I think your disappointment has blinded you from a real good game from Josh honestly. If he didn’t hit Kincaid in the hands on that last ridiculous throw I’d understand the point a little more I guess. The guy made crazy clutch plays all night that are being completely taken for granted
I didnt say he didnt have a good game. He just wasnt great. I understand people here are very sensitive about Allen criticism, rightfully so. But again he had the ball in his hands to win the game and he didnt. Should Kincaid have caught it, probably. But Josh also didnt read the blitz well. He also rolled right into which is what forced him to have to make a hero throw.

How did Mahomes do in his last proper possession where he really needed a TD to extend the Chiefs lead with the clock ticking?
We can go back and forth all day. Mahomes has led game winning drives in the post season and Super Bowl. Josh had his chance last night and didnt get it done. Had any of us been asked before the game started if Josh Allen has the ball with 3 minutes left to go win the game would you take it...we all would have. Was the coaching perfect not at all. Did his pass catchers let him down, yes they did. Did his line decide to have a crap game at the worst time possible, yes they did. That said, our "only all pro talent" as another poster put it had the ball in his hand to go win the game and he didnt.

Bull. Your hatred of Josh is blinding you. Switch QBs and the result would be the same. There was not that much of a difference in quality. If Kincaid caught the ball - as he should have done - we'd be talking about what a great play it was. Look at Worthy on that incompletion/interception/questionable call. That could have easily gone differently but someone else made a play for Mahomes. Someone else helped him out. That doesn't happen for Josh. In terms of receivers, he has to practically do it all himself.
And where was Cook? Where was the help from the run game? Why did coaching have the offense come out passing instead of offering easy passes and runs to ease them into the game - see the Chiefs first drive? Why did the Bills continue going with the sneaks when they weren't working? If you want to whine about someone crapping the bed look at Brady.
Everyone at the Bills could take some blame for last night. But Josh should be at the bottom, or near the bottom of the list.
Hatred of Josh Allen? Completely wrong there. The guy is one of my favorite players ever. That said, my love for him as a player doesnt completely blind me to the fact that he wasnt great last night. It also doesnt blind me to the fact that he isnt in Mahomes' league as a post season QB. If the team gets you the ball with 3 minutes to go to score a winning touchdown, the great all time QBs do that. Sometimes in spite of their own teams shortcomings. Mahomes does that. Consistently. Josh does not.

Nerves did get to Josh in the first which was a shame because I thought he'd sorted them out. That is a concern and something, the one thing, more than anything, he needs to work on.
However, he was was not the QB who fumbled the ball. He was not the one to mess up in the red zone and had to take a FG from a great position for a TD. Mahomes and Josh were both good enough to win last night. The difference was bad calls, from Brady (no Cook and a lack of change from/to the sneak), McDermott/Babich (Spags adjusted to the sneak rolling left. The Bills coordinators? Just keep Mahomes running to the right without a stop) and the officials (I'm more peeved at the spot on Kincaid's play than the subsequent 'failed' sneak. And then we have the so-called Worthy completion).
Switch QBs and the Chiefs would have still won last night. Switch defenses and it would be the Bills going to the SB. If there was a switch coaches? Think the Bills would have made it.
Our QB had the frickin ball in his hands to go win the game with 3 minutes left!!!!!!!!!!! And he crapped the bed. Stop blaming coaching. The all time greats take that ball and win the game. Switch QBs and the Bills likely are going to the Super Bowl. You know why because when Mahomes is blitzed he climbs the pocket then moves laterally to buy time. Our QB decided to roll right into the blitz and heave the ball back over his body.

yet their vaunted D gave up 29 points, and probably 36 if Kincaid catches that ball. Despite all the money and draft capital and coaching they spend on D, they only win due to their QB.Yet you still have people who want to tell you they only win because of Reid, Jones, and Kelce despite each one of them being on teams that constantly lost in the playoffs with Alex Smith at QB.

The Chiefs aren't going to the SB because of Mahomes. He's a key piece but, swap him with Josh, and the results would be the same. Their defense is a class apart as is Reid's/Spag's coaching.
I dont know how you can watch that game last night and think Josh is the same as Mahomes. One guy was cool as the other side of the pillow, playing within an offense, taking what the defense gave him. The other guy was jumpy as hell the first quarter and rolling into pressure in the 4th.
And if its not Mahomes how do you explain Reid not winning diddly crap until they drafted Mahomes?

As others have said, did not sleep a whole lot. After 13 seconds, I was heartbroken, for like a week. This morning, I'm just straight up pissed. It's like re living the same nightmare over and over. McDermott still has no idea how to beat kc in the playoffs, and his defense sucks, and it has pretty much all season.
Offense isn't blameless though, Brady called some junk calls, and I feel like they did absolutely nothing to keep the kc defense on their toes. Josh made some ridiculous throws in this game, but we have absolutely no pass catching threat. I'm so annoyed
If you can find someone who can stop KC let me know. They've been to the Super Bowl 5 of 6 years. The last 11 of 15 years the Quarterback for the AFC in the Superbowl has been named Brady, Mahomes, or Manning. We can complain about coaching, defense, injuries etc but its a waste of time. The reality is the Chiefs have the 2nd best QB of all time and we don't. And until we have that guy we aren't likely to get to or win the Super Bowl. Josh is a helluva player. He isnt the best quarterback.
-
He likely does. That said, he text Beane to go draft Kincaid and Coleman. So maybe we should leave the personnel choices to someone else.

So you think the results may be a little skewed given its less than 12 hours after them losing one of the biggest games in franchise history?

McD has his faults and needs to answer some questions but that doesn’t fit the narrative for these people.
This game wasn’t on McD. He had the balls to try and win the game. Our offense didn’t execute on two drives resulting in turnovers.
If any coach needs to go, I’m honestly hoping it’s Brady. I’ve never seen a guy so stubborn to adapt throughout a game. Then again, why am I surprised? He’s not adapted play calling situationally for a whole season.
Honestly outside of the running game and wide out screens I am not sure what Brady is really scheming up. Onto next season I guess.
