I've never quite understood why teams switched from using the backup QB as the holder?   Seems like that would give them much better options for "fake FGs", and/or if something goes horribly wrong with the snap, etc.   What is the advantage of using the punter for that task instead?   Especially if it means cutting the punter with the strongest leg because he's not an experienced FG holder?

    According to Belichick

"... so if you lose a position player who is also a long snapper, you’re looking at some real problems, and that evolved into the punters, for the most part, becoming holders because of the amount of time that they could spend with the kickers versus having a wide receiver or quarterback be the holder, which again, you don’t see very much of that anymore. Assuming a punter is, you know, capable and good enough and has good enough hands to be the holder, and so then that kind of whole unit has really evolved into, you know, specified snapper or a specified kicker, a specific punter, and generally the punter as the holder, so the three of those guys could work together all practice because they’re all available."

I got killed this year on season tickets. Heck I can barely give tickets away and I’m in 100 level endzone. I’m even considering not getting playoff tickets because i feel like those won’t sell either

I have lower level seats between the 45 and 50 yard line in row 8 and row 14, and the last few games, I was lucky to get almost half of face

I also am thinking of bailing on my playoff seats

DM me if you want great seats really cheap for the Jets or would like to take over my seats at face for the wildcard round

I have a hard time putting this on the defense.  They allowed only 14 points. Yeah, yeah, rushing yards. But 14 points is the bottom line. They mostly did their job.

14 pts is a lot in a game where the conditions make it really hard to score. They allowed over 200 rushing yards and allowed the pats to move the ball and keep the Bills offense off of the field when we had the wind

    I'm 100% with you.

What makes me smile about the Ravens is 2 fold however.

    1. Their way of sloppy wins is not sustainable.

    2. Their schedule for the rest of the year is as tough as it gets. They will drop a few on the back half of the season.

One of the "worst" 8-3 teams  - could easily be the other way around - combo of resilience, great luck, and chokes by other teams

Dawkins has struggled this year.  Not only was he beaten multiple times in pass pro, he almost caused a fumble in the run game as well.

There was a handoff, I think in the 2nd, he allowed the DE to penetrate so quickly that Singletary was hit immediately as he got the handoff.  I was expecting a fumble and surprised he held on to it.

Dawkins deserves as much criticism as anyone on the line.

I think in the first half he allowed 2 sacks and would have been 3 if not for his holding penalty

Of his 5 incompletions, 2 were INT's, and 2 were throwaways under pressure. I think the only pass that hit the ground that he tried to complete was the 3rd and inches intended for Diggs.

BTW - why were we throwing on 3rd and inches?  - and -

why did McD call a timeout after failing to draw them Offside instead of just taking the 5 year delay of game (we were at around midfield)

I am going to convince myself that McDermott made Breida inactive all year in hopes to keep him fresh and unleash him for the stretch run and playoffs, there is no other explanation.

Singletary looked great too behind a garbage line.

Don't want to see Moss take another snap.

Combined Motor and Breida were 24 carries for 70 yards for a 2.9 average (oddly enough they each individually averaged 2.9 per carry)

There were a few plays where the O-line had some nice holds, but there were way too many negative running plays or plays that gained 1 or 2 yards.

Saw Greg breaking down the Bills on TV today.  Nothing we don't already know but this is from someone who watches every piece of film...

Let's hope the Bills are fixing some of these issues.

    Problems are:

    - Lack of running game, no commitment to it whatsoever. RB's aren't good enough.

    - OLine are not nearly good enough in pass protection to throw the ball as often as they want.

    - Lacking explosive plays in passing game which existed last season.  If drives can't be sustained by running, Bills must have explosive plays.

    - Buffalo cannot execute a viable offense if the only dimension is passing.

    - Josh Allen has to be special, every week, every play, or the Bills cannot win.  That's too much to ask, does not believe it's sustainable.

Cosell could have saved his time watching the film and come to the same conclusions just by reading TBD!

Calling up Lincoln Riley with a blank check and saying you get to coach Josh Allen isn’t the worst idea in the world

You really want to take a team that has made the playoffs (most likely) 4 out of 5 years and give the reins to a college coach who has never coached professionally?

See: Nick Saban, Urban Meyer, Steve Spurrier, ...
