This is all Tremaine Edmunds fault but at least he is still young and can grow

My thoughts are this. Very talented kid loved him coming out of ND when nobody was really talking about him.
Issues with him has been work ethic, sulking when he doesn’t get his way.
Clearly the Bills have a type they want as an X WR. This guy is not a burner but similar to Coleman in many aspects.
He was free so why not ?

There was also an uptick in 3 LB deployment last year, I suspect this trend continues.
Was that because Milano was out or were we using 3 while he was healthy? -

Samuel can stretch the field.
From what I recall he hasn’t been a very proficient deep threat . He has the speed yes but hasn’t converted many opportunities- 1

The more I think about this pick and what we saw from Brady last year, the more I'm talking myself into Coleman being a good fit. (I have spoken...to myself)
Brady did the complimentary football thing but when we did pass it was a lot of hitches and screens...basically lots of stuff close to the LOS with some verticals mixed in, not a lot of complicated routes. Get him the ball quick and let him YAC or block/pick for guys.
I think part of our collective fan problem is we've adopted the mindset that Brady is going to really open up the offense and make it his own in year 2 in which case we maybe we have a raw rookie that will struggle. But what if that's not the plan? What if Brady's 2023 offense is the offense? Coleman can do that.
We still need a deep threat though otherwise opposing defenses will continue to just press us and the safeties will move in towards the line of scrimmage and shorten the field.

That 10B$ still isn’t enough money for Tyreek to pay all the child support he owes

I said for months that the Bills would love his leadership and character traits and that he was the type of player they would love because of his maximum effort and doing the small things it takes to win.
Most didn’t want to hear that cause they read a couple scouting reports and wanted more speed guys
It’s ok to admit both which I can.So far I love Keon the person. Seems
fun loving and innocent. A guy the locker room will enjoy. You can see he wants to work hard and be a good person .
But I can also point out his faults as Keon the player as well

seems to me that you’re confusing “better talent” with “players that you deem to be better talent”. No?
as if there’s no chance that the Bills front office sees things differently than you?
This is a message board no? So we are all entitled to our opinions?- 1

I missed the beginning of the convo. Who is the better talent that we ignored?
Not trading up for a better WR. I also think McConkey is a better WR.
I also think there are many non WR’s in that spot we could have drafted which were far better BPA than Coleman

Can we stop with this? Like seriously I’ve been saying this for weeks ever since Diggs left that we don’t have cap space and now Beane has said it isn’t happening as well.

I’m in this camp too. We tried the “true #1” thing. It didn’t work. Allen was forcing it to Diggs until Brady came in and spread it around/focused on the run. It can’t be understated how important it will be for Josh not to have that pressure on him.
The old pats* teams killed you with a variety of interchangeable pass catchers, not necessarily WRs. I’m excited to see how the new offense is going to look. What we were doing wasn’t going to get it done.
True but that’ doesnt mean we need to ignore better talent to go along with this offensive philosophy -

Watch all his targets. He can’t separate. He consistently has a DB all over him unless it’s a coverage breakdown .
For a guy that is touted as a 50/50 guy he sure doesn’t come down with a lot of balls

Drafting guys without character, leadership and heart is great and all, but if they aren’t good enough they will simply be guys without heart, character and leadership on the street and not on the Bills.
Or they are more talented and make the team?
That’s my point. We’ve drafted so many choir boys and passed up on better talent because of it

This fixes everything
edit no it doesn't
Cephus ran a 4.73 so he’s slower than Coleman .

Yet he caught almost every single ball thrown to him with just TWO drops?!?! WTF there is a stat for everything I guess
You should watch his YouTube all targets. He had way more drops than 2 this year -

colemans 40 time is faster than cooper kupp's.....just sayin
There’s a reason Coleman didn’t do any of the agility drills and Kupp faired well in them- 1

We don’t need another slot WR so no thank you to Boyd. Need an outside guy with speed so hopefully Chark or someone else

I’m not sure Carter is going to be a 1 tech. He’s not the best against the run. Seems like a great backup DT for Oliver though
