Think if Dejean is there in round one you take him. He starts immediately at safety or maybe even corner. The cb from Boston College really fits what the Bills do. My guy at receiver is Corley but i am biased and we’ll have to see if he can run routes. He may slip and i hope he does and Bills can grab him in second. Think the Barton kid is gonna be a helluva center for years.

Have to agree on Corley. Sadly, he is mostly a slot guy, so he'll basically help some other team beat us 😭

I’d love that pick if he was there but I think the Steelers will get him at 20

PLEASE, Tomlin: Take JPJ, so we don't have to! Bump another (Insert word that's been banned from this thread) down the board!

    Am I doing this right?

ROC, fair point brother, but not for nothing, the key difference between then and now, is Josh Allen—we are built to win now and pile on the weapons for him; back then we needed to find a QB plus more, and were not going to make any noise in the playoffs, so it was a colossal waste of resources by Whaley to do it, imho.

That's valid: We aren't where we were, and the calculus has changed. Maybe I'm scarred; maybe those scars still speak.

If he’s settled on Edwards & Rapp being our starters (which, to be clear, terrifies me) then he doesn’t have much FA business left

    Beane is killing it

The problem with DT is that we have a single legit pass rusher from the interior in Oliver and we really need someone who can do that behind him.

If Jer’zahn Newton is there when the bills are picking in the first I’d hope they seriously consider him

Or if Byron Murphy III slips, and AD Mitchell and BT Jr are off the board, I'd be good with Murphy, too.

  5. Whelp, instead of lying down and dying, like our D does in playoff games, this guy appears to make splash plays in those situations. The whole starter v.s. backup argument is moot... We had defensive starters who underperformed when the chips were down. This guy has proven he outperforms in those situations.

For that reason alone I'm on board with this signing.

Looks like OTC updated Morrows contract at 1.5 million and Hollins at 2.6 million. Neither qualify against the Bills comp picks.

Bills currently sit at 2 comp picks a 4th and a 5th for 2025 and still have not found the exact numbers for Settle, Dodson, and Ford. Hopefully 2 of the 3 qualify

Is it so that no team can Garner more than 4 comp picks? I thought aid heard that, somewhere; not positive whether it's true or not.

  7. We now have people to catch the ball 😱😱😱

Seriously, though, this is incredible news! Stoked that it's NOT just a 1-year. Beane knows we need continuity in the WR corps. Samuel reunited with Brady. Stoked!

Correct if I'm wrong but isn't this the 2nd time the NFL screwed us on the comp formula? Maybe it was Jarious Byrd ? Or maybe someone else anyone remember?

Second? SECOND? Maybe the SEVENTY-SECOND... If it weren't for Belly-cheat's dog calling in the picks, New England would have fielded a roster of HOFers from 2000-2017! As it was, they "only" won six SBs...

Figured we should probably take this to the WR thread.  I'm all for us using two early picks, and even a late round pick on WR this year. That group truly needs an overhaul and infusion of youth. There's a guy that's in that 5th Round range I'm keeping an eye on and see as a sleeper. Joshua Cephus of UTSA. The young man is 6'3" and about 185lbs. Good with contested catches, flashes some speed and RAC ability in the open field, and he's got a little twitch to his game that gets him separation on quick breaking routes. His route tree can use some developing and he has dropped a pass here or there, but he's also made some pretty spectacular plays on occasion and would be an asset in the red zone. Could be worth a shot.

Yeah, at the rate we're going, that's probably a good call. I'm working up some notes that I'll post over there in a bit.

I've heard Cephus' name come up in a couple of the reports I've been going through, but I hadn't watched any highlights. Definitely has the height and burst you like to see. A little stiff in the hips. Gives me some Gabe Davis vibes, which--for a late round flier--isn't a negative. I'll have to dig more into him. Thanks for the share!

Eh, reminds of a poor man's Khalil Shakir. He was mainly used like Isaiah McKenzie, little shovels and WR screens. That's a pass for me.

Well, I can see that, but also, we have some spare picks late in the draft (see below). Might be worth a flier over a Luke Tenuta or a Dez Lewis... Just sayin'.
